I like that you play the lyrics with licks. I’ve heard Johnny B Goode so many times and this is a refreshing version of the song. Plus tabs! Tom you are to awesome to us, thanks a million. Big fan of your work
Great rendition of this tune...I remember when I was in grade school I had purchased every Chuck Berry 45 that he put out on Chess label....you always make such great versions of these classic tunes...thanks so much for your inspiration !
Your videos have been a great help. Many songs i THOUGHT i knew how to play! You have inspired me to upload videos of my own guitar playing. Thanks mister!
I do note, some people may not realize how actully really hard it is to duplicate another person's music. And when I say duplicate, I mean play the song as close as possible to the original recording. And Tom, you do an outstanding job of this, hat's off to you!! BTW, I know this imitating music is hard because I did this decades ago with The Ventures music and surf music which was popular during the mid-sixties. I might also add I simply was not as successful as Tom with my imitations of the original guitar players back then. But in my defense, I was 14 years old and not in any way a prodigy! LOL
Dude... that was dope!!!!! I recently came over this song at a workshop session over here in Kathmandu, Nepal...... From then this song is repeatedly coming in my head.... Great!!!!
Tom will you PLEASE...PRETTY PLEASE post the guitar part that Albert Lee does on Roseanne Cash "My Baby Thinks He's a Train"...pretty please with sugar on it!
What guage strings do you use? I heard that using really light guage strings is the best for finger action. Maybe super light strings. It's the amplifier and foot pedals that really give you the sound. Super light guage strings just make it so much easier to barre chords and play fast.
@@tomcon21 B.B. King famously used very light gauge strings on his guitars, which contributed to his fluid bending style and expressive vibrato. His typical string gauges ranged from around 0.008 inches for the high E string to 0.040 inches for the low E string. This set of gauges is often referred to as “8-40” and is much lighter than what many other guitarists use. The lighter gauge allowed B.B. King to achieve his signature sound with easier string bending and less finger strain.
Hi Tom, OK, I can now play Because with it's backing track quite well (hopefully well enough to play in front of family and friend's events that are coming up). I have already copied the tabs for JBG and am learning the notes and will download the backing track (probably the whole album) sometime soon. This will be my 8th song I have learned from your library....just scratching the surface!! I have one question if you don't mind....How long does it take you to just learn the lead notes for a typical song (not including all the production work)? Thanks for all you do!
We're not ready for that yet, but our kids are gonna love it
W reference
back to the future all right.
I’m glad Marvin made that call to Chuck! 😊
Muy bién amigo Tom Conlon ...
This and ‘Rock Around the Clock’ were the bar that guitarist were once measured by. You make it look so easy Tom.
This crazy instrumental version could had been a hit for the Shadows, Ventures or Spotnicks!
This is a great version of guitar solos and lyrical melody combined. Fantastic!
Finally, I get to learn this great song. Tom's tab / tutorial is the best. Thank you, Tom.

Классика! Всегда не понимал почему выбрана тональность си-бемоль мажор, если можно играть в ля-мажоре традиционно.

I always wondered why Marty said this is in B when it’s Bb
🎸🎸🎸👍👍👍👌👌👌🥳
No se ven las tablaturas
Johnny B. Goode in Bb, that's not Rock n Roll. Sounds great.
Bb because it’s a horn key; and inspired by Johnnie Johnson, the piano player who probably had all those licks in Bb
@@tomcon21 Ah, so is the original in Bb? I have always played it in A
Yeah the original is Bb
