    Thank you TRUCK MASTER for including me in your video review of the new Silverado!! For all you fact checkers out there, you are correct, I was a bit nervous and made a few false statements. This is a Crew Cab with a 5 foot 6 inch box, I said 6 foot 6 inch, and the dynamic fuel management doesn't run on two cylinders, it actually solves some of the previous active fuel management issues by being able to skip firing any of the cylinders. Feel free to message me if you would like a better explanation of why this is better.

      MIKE LOVE is there still the plastic box by the foot rest in the driver side? Why does GM hate tall people with a larger foot?

    • @mikelove3539
      @mikelove3539 6 лет назад

      Greg Busby it is still there, it’s actually part of the wheelhouse. Good news is the seat adjusts so far back that I at 6’3” and size 13 shoe can barely reach the pedals

    • @GregBusby
      @GregBusby 6 лет назад

      MIKE LOVE sounds great, doesn't help me when it's 6'6 and size 16. Really want a GM truck too

      agreed, I think if they wouldn't have made that stupid fender go over the bumper, it would have been alright.

      I really like both. When I first saw pictures of the 2019 I thought it was awful. Seeing it in person, and a few more times, I think I really like it actually.

    My first new truck was in 1967, like most truck owners back then I would have never thought trucks would become as nice as they are now. Awesome looking truck, put some bigger tires/wheels on it and it becomes super awesome. Thanks for sharing, peace out.

    As a F-150 owner I know you Chevy guys are going to love all the features we have enjoyed for years! Except for pano sunroof, adaptive cruise, massaging seats, availability of top engine in base trim , flat passenger floor.... but hey, you put up with no rear ac vents and a offset steering wheel for years.

      Jason Larsen well it’s true my friend. A Chevy Silverado keeps their value. It’s sad that all the 6.0 6.4 even the 6.7 have issues. The 6.6 and Allison transmission is known to be an all around good truck.

    • @jasonlarsen3515
      @jasonlarsen3515 6 лет назад +2

      Don Abraham why are we talking about diesels? Didn’t know the 1500 had the 6.6. Wait a minute! Did you bring up diesels because you can’t answer for all the other shortcoming of the new Silverado? You sly fox!

    • @AStanton1966
      @AStanton1966 6 лет назад +2

      I have a Silverado and a Mustang, so I have no brand loyalty. However, I think sun/moon roofs are the biggest mistakes you can buy when purchasing a vehicle. Why cut a hole in your roof and expect it not to leak or rattle?

    Just had to make this decision I went with the 18. Got a lt z71 all star edition with running boards and tonneau cover. That DFM sounds like nothing but problems as soon as the salesman told me about that I said I’ll take the 18. Put a range AFM Disabler in and I’m loving it

      Sometimes you can't beat old school There's a mechanic on RUclips who just made a video about the high cost of maintenance on a Benz. One computer code meant that one(1) shock absorber had to be replaced for the cost of over $1,000.

    Hopefully they actually sell more crew cabs. The used market is almost solely double cabs. Anybody wanting a good crew cab is almost forced to go Ford.

    • @gwrm270
      @gwrm270 6 лет назад

      I'm guessing because double cab leases are pretty cheap, $100-200 less per month than crew with incentives.

    The new body style is growing on me. Still like the older gen styles, though. Appreciate what they’ve done to help fuel economy with certain trims on the truck and using aluminum in certain parts. Really nice one is able to tow that much. As for the interior, one of the major concerns I’ve had for the Chevy’s is that the back cab is not big enough. So, I like that they’ve added some room. The steering wheel could be a bit beefier. I like to drive trucks with heftier steering wheels. The screen seems a bit small and the interface a little outdated. Nice trailering features they’ve implemented for checkpoints. Overall, a nice truck.

      Not a fan of Isuzu Diesels ...GM is powered by Isuzu Duramax lol...Want Sushi Diesel slant eye ?

    • @jonmaciel4696
      @jonmaciel4696 6 лет назад

      01trsmar they aren't literally the same diesels that you see in those flat face trucks the duramax diesels in SILVERADO'S are different from those in those commercial company trucks just cause gm works with Isuzu doesn't necessary mean it's built just by izuzu and even if it was all built by Isuzu I wouldn't mine or care because it's a great Diesel engine and even Thoe it's Japanese it works great and gets the job done just like Japanese dirt bikes they are fun and have a lot of power and at the end of the day if it gets you or whatever you are towing or transporting to point A to point B that's all that really matters at the end and plus Cummins is a great diesel but way too overrated and power stroke's yeah I'm just going to leave that there 😬

    • @jonmaciel4696
      @jonmaciel4696 6 лет назад

      01trsmar plus I'm not the type to buy a truck or diesel just cause someone told me or the market says it's the best sure some can tow more some have more payload then others but I get a truck that I like and suits me and gets the job done just like this video I'd rather have my brotha' truck masters lbz over the new Silverado why cause I like the style of those Silverado's 03- late 07 and they really look nice now am I hating on the new SILVERADO'S no cause I'm a Chevy fan till I die I'm just stating they aren't really my style but all the new technology is cool but do I really need it and need to pay 30,000 dollars extra for all that no

    Great review. Thanks. Personally I would have loved if they would have kept the look of the 2014-2015 trucks on the outside, especially the fascia and hood. I like some of the new features of the inside of the new truck, especially the rear HVAC. But overall for me it will take a long time to get used to the new "camaro" face on all their vehicles.

    I currently own a 2015 sierra 1500 with the 5.3 eco tec motor. The 2019 just doesn't have enough changes from my truck for me to buy one. Here is what I would like to see the 2019 trucks come with standard:
    Much more horsepower I want 425hp/475ft lbs torque for towing. I pull a 5k-6klb trailer daily
    6.2 engine should be an option on the 1500 with a 6 speed trans. Not the 8 speed. Its too expensive out of warranty to replace
    4 rear diff gear options 3:43, 3:55, 3:73 and 4:10. I have the 3:43 and they suck for towing
    Airbag suspension option
    Make the transmission less clunky in between shifts. My Nissan Armada blows my GMC away with how smooth it shifts
    Factory towing mirror options. The stock mirrors are horrible for towing
    Better premium audio with optional sub woofer. Its not too bad in the GMC but my 2013 Ford F250 had a way better stereo system in it with a factory sub.
    Improved stock headlights. Projection lights should come standard
    If they make all of the above options/changes available then I'll buy another Sierra

    I hope GM has fixed their squeaky/creaky leaf spring issues. My 2015 Silverado has a squeaky/creaky leaf spring and it has to be re-greased about every 6 weeks. I have had this done about 7 times now. GM refuses to replace the leaf springs because they say the grease works better. Sounds like GM got a lot of bad leaf springs in and they refuse to replace them with better quality leaf springs that don't squeak or creak like a 20 year old truck.

    What are they thinking? The last generation was one of the nicest trucks they ever made looks wise. The front end isn’t horrible it’s the rear end for me. They need to redo it and make it similar to the old one just don’t make this one

    Josh, what is the MSRP on that truck you reviewed? I remember when they redesigned the Suburban & Tahoe/Yukon and everyone freaked out as well, it always seems to grow on people. It is human nature to resist change I guess! Lol! Thanks for the review! I will be curious to see the HD in 2020 and if any changes will be made to the Duramax.
