Hey hey! Great job getting a review out this early. At first when I saw pictures, I didn’t like the design, but certain trims and colors (like this one) I’m liking it more - especially in motion in video. It’s also great to see more backseat space, even though it wasn’t bad, it definitely wasn’t close to others. Great job and detail and keep up the great work fellas!
Thanks Nolan! You know, we feel the same way. In the pictures there are definitely some configurations that look sketchy, but we're fans of this blacked-out RST. It looks quite good in person!

That truck is awesome it's got the Chevrolet reliability and all these Dodge Ram people are bashing it because of the Interior if they want a Posh interior go by a daggone crossover the Chevrolet is just really the best truck out there
toro220d it’s not just the Ram guys bashing it. However, GM has always had the most garbage interior of the trucks out there. But for $60k, the typical Chevy buyer is getting shortchanged again with a too-small fuel tank with no larger option, the same trash 6 speaker stereo since 2006, no 10 speed trans and no 6.2 in lower trims like this RST (it would be perfect here). At least they got rear vents and some adult-sized headrests in the rear...

you're right...didn't notice the big 3. He's probably right on the point that the Chevy is probably the most reliable...easy to be reliable when you don't innovate (i.e. Toyota as well)...

We love the new design - maybe the infotainment screen could be a touch larger but for us - this is a winner!
I love the way the head lights look, but not so much the taillights. Other than that, it looks like a good truck.

Good, GM added a button to turn off the auto-stop feature. There isn't one on the Equinox.
The front doesn’t look to bad but I have no idea what they were thinking with those fender wells, the hood line and the whole back of the truck. And I like how they said they didn’t want to reinvent the wheel in the interior yet they put the mirrors on the door!?!? They even still have the little plastic piece where the mirror should go😂
Thats one of the things I hated...should have put mirrors where they are supposed to go up where that friggin plastic thing is

Lovely design! I like the new LTZ trim, its a great truck for not so much money. I like the direction Chevy is starting to go with getting rid of the cheap interior. Will definitely consider next to tundra. Probably depends on if I want to stick with chevy or go with a toyota. I think chevy might have it if they can give me a good deal!!!

It's hard to predict sometimes! It took us nearly 6 months to get the Expedition and Navigator which are actually built in Kentucky!

I love the shape of the grill and how it looks like a mask, also the extra inches to the backseat are great for child seats but I can't lie. They could have done better with the comfort and width of the driver seat. I'm 6'2 265, I got in one yesterday as I was about to pay my deposit for a trail boss. The space to me for me isn't sufficient for long travel, it feels like racing bolsters and there aren't any. Hopefully that gets fixed, until then ill explorer other options.

This looks great. The truck was good too. But really I can’t wait to see how this redesign affects the Tahoe and Suburban. Also thank god they updated the wiper/light stalk. That old one was impossible to use (and was did not belong in the Escalade). Also 12:48 killed me. Last thing I promise, does this include the new independent rear suspension that GM has been talking about in the upcoming 2020 Tahoe family?

Looks like a Ford F-150 on front and sides and a tundra from the back will see how the other models come out like.
How much would the base cheap model with a backseat of this truck start at?
The monotone paint treatment has made the Chevy grow on me, but that interior is a major let down. It is behind the 4 year old F150 and light-years behind Ram.
And why did they not follow Ford and make the 10spd standard on all V8s and diesel?
Chevy messed up with this one.... I get it that it has to change but trying to change it into an f-150/tundra/colorado was really uncalled for.
F-150 rear end, tundra profile, colorado front end (at least in my eyes). Been a chevy supporter since they were "Like a Rock," but this one is a puzzler.
I personally like it. It looks very rugged and aggressive and is probably just as reliable as a Tundra and more reliable than the Ford and Ram.

why must you hit a button to open the door {button on door handle}? Why can't you just pull the door handle? why is it a 2 step process?
The button is just to lock and unlock the door. Must have fob close by to work.

Is the “Rear Seat Reminder” for people who accidentally leave their children in the cars? If that’s true then I think all newer cars should install that. Too many babies dying from their parents “forgetting” about them.
Yes, it chimes if the rear door have been used during or slightly before the latest startup. All GM vehicles have the system at this point

You got to hand it to the car companies for taking a $1.50 key and bending us over $300 for a replacement. And we take it.
The LTZ is my favorite trim, but the others are great too. Chevy did a good job with the 2019 Silverado.

Ugliest truck I’ve seen, I’m a huge silverado guy I have a 2017 silverado and I cannot stand the new style, it’s almost like they copied the back end of the Colorado’s, front end on the new dodge rams, and the body style of the fords. Complete garbage

GM needs to hire REAL car designers, and engineers. (People who LOVE CARS) GM is run by a bunch of bean counters, accountants, and it "SCREAMS" in the products they make.

Great review. I dont really care for the new truck. I had 2 C1500’s, two T800’s, and one T900. Out of all of those, I cared the least for the T900, because of oil consumption problems caused by Active Fuel Management. I bought a bumper to bumper service contract, and at 65000 miles when the upper dash cracked in 7 places, my service contract mysteriously switched to “safety items only,” and the dealer refused to cover the dash replacement. I would think if the passenger airbag had gone off, those cracked pieces definitely would have become a safety issue.
Like the competitor's double overhead Cam or single overhead Cam engines won't consume oil. Taking care of the AFM on these engines, keep the oil level and they will go for a long time

Can I order the LT Silverado with navigation?
You have to get at least the LTZ to get integrated navigation, however you can still use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay on the lower trims.

Chevy claiming the customers did not want the interior changed is absolute rubbish. Unless everyone they asked was 55 or older.
I'm over 55 and I will take the interior of my 2017 Silverado LTZ Z71 all day, any day. Glad I don't have to deal with that stupid auto on/off (I would rather pay a $1,000 gas guzzler tax) or the 2 cylinder deactivation. I have four (4) 12-volt receptacles in my double cab.
A Stanton1966 but you do have the active fuel management, which is just as bad because of oil burning issues...plus you have a crap interior. If you’ve tuned out the AFM, you just have to deal with your 90’s interior...
The truck uses no oil so far. I'll take a V-8 with AFM any day or an Ecoboost which may throw some condensation into the turbo and cause an engine to go into limp mode. As for a "crap interior:" I got leather seats, heated steering wheel, heated seats, cooled seats, remote garage door openers, 3 USB ports 4 12-volt charging ports, 1 120 AC plug, navigation, 2 compasses, 2 trip odometers, remote start, trailer brake controller, back up camera, power sliding rear window, front and rear back up sensors, built in phone charger, hill descent, brake/accelerator pedal adjuster, power seats for driver and passenger, power folding sideview mirrors with turn signal indicators... This truck has just about every bell and whistle you would want. So what is crap about it? You need to do some homework, son.
A Stanton1966 you can have a kitchen sink in your truck and the interior is still crap though, buddy. You’re probably just not used to a decent interior, so it’s understandable...

If you put this truck on a lift, you’ll see the real truth on the so called dual exhaust, it’s not true dual at all, please don’t get tricked into buying this truck without doing thorough research, future buyers.
It's called the okie-dokie. I just discovered that the skid plate for my 2017 Silverado LTZ Z71 (off road package) under the motor is plastic.
