    What is the alternative to change the position and size of the of captions in ITT or SRT formats ?

    • @pixelfilmstudios

      The editability of the captions is limited due to readability requirements for captions. You may not be able to edit the size or position.

    • @pixelfilmstudios
      @pixelfilmstudios  Год назад

      Captions formatting cannot be adjusted because they follow accessibility guidelines. You would need to create burnt-in captions with Titles if you would like an adjustable caption.

    • @pixelfilmstudios

      Captions have limited formatting options, the size of the subtitles would not be able to be changed.
      You would have to use Titles to create the captions if you want to edit the style and or size.

      If your subtitles are in the CEA-608 format, you can embed them directly in the output media file.
      You can also export or embed subtitles using Final Cut Pro share destinations that include include an option to burn them so that they’re permanently visible.

    If I have regular text boxes, can I move those/covert them to the subtitles section of the timeline?

    • @pixelfilmstudios
      @pixelfilmstudios  2 года назад

      These cannot be converted, but you can potentially copy and paste the title text into a document, then copy and paste sections of that text into FCP when you're creating captions.

  • @mindtharz

    Hi! I created a subtitle template, and copied it and pasted on timeline to add another subtitle. And When I copy the texts from MS word and paste them on that template the texts shrinks (on FCPX)...can you please kindly advice?

    • @pixelfilmstudios
      @pixelfilmstudios  Год назад

      It might be that you have too many words applied to the subtitle there fore the text is smaller to accommodate the amount you have written. You may want to break it up, or try and see if typing it manually solves the issue in case it is a formatting conflict.

    And how to remove the black background to SRT subtitles. ?

    • @pixelfilmstudios
      @pixelfilmstudios  2 года назад

      The background cannot be removed on subtitles. They are not customizable because they need to meet certain requirements in order to remain readable for everyone. If you want plain text with no background you would just use a regular title preset to write and customize your subtitles.

      Hi Faith! The ITT format has the options to change the position of the captions from the bottom of the screen to the top but no further. If you want the option to tweak the positioning more carefully we recommend using the CEA-608 captions instead.

      @@pixelfilmstudios that's cool. but I would have to manually type and time the lyrics then right? For every phase, I would have to type it out and drag over the applicable part of the song? Or, is there any way to have my captions from rev which are already timed be converted to titles somehow and then use your templates to stylize it? I'm trying to reduce time build lyric videos. And, I really only need them for about a 1 min snipett of the song with only the cover art showing. Distrokid and musixmatch have a cool way to sync your written lyrics to the beat and then send them to IG for use on the create mode (music sticker). something like that...that I could apply over my videos would be great.
