Hey man, really helpful info! I have a question. I already created all the captions for my video, but when I bounce it, its not appearing. Do you know why that happens? Thank you!
If you're not able to see the captions after export then it's possible you missed a step in making sure the settings are correct. Check out this support article for more in depth look at how to export captions: support.apple.com/guide/final-cut-pro/export-captions-ver245c7581b/mac
You would select the different sub role if you are creating captions in multiple languages. There is an article going over Multilingual captions in more detail here on the FCPX website: support.apple.com/guide/final-cut-pro/create-multilingual-captions-verac5c93e0f/mac
Hi man, I don't know if it's the correct video to post, but my problem is that when I create the final video, including captions, when I reproduce the final video on my PC no caption appear. All is correct, but no caption appear. Could you help me?
i want to create a file in english and printable of all captios/subtitles for m film-which is mainly in Italian. I want to create a paper cut-do a paper edit. Can you help with that?
Hi, All of your tutorials are so helpful. Thank you. Do you know if there's a way to export my SRT caption files for individual clips in my timeline? For example, in my timeline on one project, I have 15 different edited clips to export. One starts at :00, the next at 2:30, the next at 5:00, and so on. The captions are complete for each of the clips. I would like to export SRT closed captions with them (not burned into the file). So, for each of the video clips, I will be exporting by using in and out points from :00-2:25, then 2:30-4:55, and so on. I would like to export the captions the same way. Is that possible? Thank you for any and all help. best, bodi
Not sure if there is a way to do this. The only thing we could think of was to have a separate project where you copy and paste the clip you want to export the captions for individually. You could potentially use the Range tool to do a selective export in the current project however we are unsure if this would apply correctly in the case of captions.
What format type are you using for your caption? And what settings do you have set for the export? Are you exporting the captions as seperate files or burning them in?
It looks like you can't do that with FCPX alone. Check out this video with more information on how to do what you're looking for: ruclips.net/video/141bjhgKg_c/видео.html
You may have to change your export settings to make sure captions are included. This article goes over it briefly. discussions.apple.com/thread/8414230
If you have not selected the Captions Roles in the Index before trying to export, it can cause you not to be able to export the captions. Please check out this article here which mentions this issue: discussions.apple.com/thread/8433052

When would I select a language subrole different than English?

You might want to ask Apple support about this issue, Matteo! 👍

You will just have to copy and paste the captions into a document as you make them then translate the captions. There's no simple way to do this.

Why I don't have after export captions in video ?
What format type are you using for your caption?
And what settings do you have set for the export?
Are you exporting the captions as seperate files or burning them in?
I'm puzzled that the SRT option magically appeared! It doesn't appear on mine - which is what I'm trying to fix...

how do i export a movie file with 2 or more CC languages tracks? i cant find info on this anywhere
You would need to export the captions with the movie as separate files.
@@pixelfilmstudios tyes.. i know that now.how do i then embed the two cc tracks onto the mp4?
