    I've had trouble with my thoracic spine for my entire life. I have never heard of that twist before to really isolate the upper spine, I love it!

    I went to a physiotherapy appointment earlier today and they said to increase my thoracic spine mobility. I've been silently suffering with upper back pain for a good few years now and never thought that's what it was. I've just done these exercises and although my thoracic spine felt really stiff (even though I do yoga regularly) these have left me feeling amazing! I'll definitely incorporate them to my daily routine thank you so much 😍😍😍

      That is so great to hear that you felt a difference in your thoracic spine. It's being able to refine the twists into the upper back that is missing in many regular yoga classes. I'm glad this helped you! :)

    I'm so glad I found this video to help the thoracic spine I injured my back at the end of 2017 and was off for 7 months x went private health care as NHS was useless turned out my ribs had moved and needed to be pushed and manipulated back into place x finding this video helps me keep my left shoulder blade where the injury was moving and the pain less.

    Thank you so much for this helpful video! I get frustrated because as much as yoga helps me, I keep re-injuring myself in the right shoulder thoracic spine area, it is just really easy to tear all the tender muscles that support my shoulder blade. Thank you this is a really nice gentle way to address the issue without pushing it so much that I hurt myself. I love the mindful movement and just thinking about how intricate our thoracic spine and shoulders are, what wonderful design!

      As long as it feels good in your body! The twisting is primarily in your upper back (thoracic spine).

  • @Linds709
    @Linds709 6 лет назад

    Why should we be twisting from the thoracic spine as opposed to the lower back

    • @HeartBonesYogaAnatomyMobility
      @HeartBonesYogaAnatomyMobility  6 лет назад +3

      The way that the spine works, is that there is more twisting capability in the thoracic spine than the lumbar. The lumbar can twist, but it is mainly a stabilizer. The thoracic spine has more range for twisting, but many people don't move it, and instead get the low back to do the twisting.
