Hi Z! Nice talking to you at Munich (and thanks for the Studio 530 review 8 years ago). Also had these Minorca for a while and you are right, amazing speakers for the price. By the way, they already make a standfloor version of these called Cabasse MC40 Java.

Upscale Audio was very fun to visit a few years ago when I was shopping for headphones. The sales people were actually nice and chill. Beware when they ship stuff to you they Triple Box it. It was a box in a box in a box. No way was there going to be shipping damage. Seemed a bit overkill but it worked.
My main speakers are a pair of Cabasse Altura Riva (a tad over the Minorcas I think). Combined with a nice subwoofer and a tube amp, they are exquisite. The only speakers that I know of that would make me change them, are the Paradigm Signature or the Diapason Adamantes
Hi @Z reviews. The Cabasse MC40 where the first speakers I bought over here in Germany 16 years ago and they are mb my most beloved ones. I like the dominance/ presents of voices compared to other speakers. Pretty nice they kept the price low. Bought them for 800€ at this time. Fun fact. The blew up my first amp 😊
So here my question for you. I need some headphone now. Does anything compare to this speaker? Whats your recommendaton for me ;) Im a big rock fan!

I'm torn between a set of those Cabasse Minorca MC40 and a set of Triangle Comète EZ (regular, not 40th edition). I'm also considering some Focal Aria Evo X N°1 but you haven't covered those i believe.
Which do you prefer? (I listen to any style really, ranging from Jazz to Pop and Electro all the way to Metal). Thanks! (Bass isn't a problem, i can hookup a subwoofer)

You know I always see your powered floor standings in the background of your videos I'm always surprised you never done the Klipsch R-28PF Surround Powerful Floor Standing Speaker.
Unless you have and I just never seen the video if so I need to go check that out.

Z, i REALLY like the CAB ASS passive speaker. i have heard some of their others with truly prodigious sound and seemingly complete system of electronics. a women dream of smallness and capability.
that Moussorgsky piece was Pictures at an Exhibition which is one of my favorite pieces. i have many different orchestras, Tomita (all synth), and even my least favorite...Emerson, Lake, and Palmer's rock version. my fave orchestral performance is on the Telarc Label...Lorin Maazel and the Cleveland orchestra which has all the right tempos and delivery. it's actually a toss-up between Tomita and Maazel for best performance.

Have you heard "Gotye - State of The Art"? Im pretty sure its copyright free but you shoukd use it to test speakers and u can probably play it without getting a strike (would probably double check tho). It has layers, dynamic range, sub bass and just crispt and clear

That copyright BS.... artists should be paying you to use a 30 second clip of their work. There should be some kind of official rider that permits audio reviewers to use their tracks gratis.
I cannot even attempt to count over the last 8 years (since I started using "paid" streaming services) how many artists you have lured me towards giving their body of work a listen. Not just the track you featured, but their top 10 and their most critically acclaimed albums as well as their stinkers.
These are showing as $1813 CAD for me. Tariffs in play I assume.

bro are you serious. jbl/ revel absolutely destroy any over priced poorly measuring focal and b&w speakers. literally the only other good passive speakers are kef which ill admit is uk but is only just comparable to revel considering how expensive kef is.
