Hey Kaptain Kuba I have a question that might be a theory as well Why Brok and Sindri avoid Freya that they don’t wanna be seen by her as it happens will Kratos reaches the top of the mountain in Midgard where the black breath exist when Freya comes to help and restore the broken elevator Atreus tells Freya that Sindri told them its broken and he was just down below but Freya says she hasn’t seen him and she says maybe he is finished the work here ?! Thanks

Makes plenty of sense especially when Zeus tells Gaia that she should have chosen the "other one" in GOW3. I always assumed he meant Daimos was as strong but more compliant
He said that because he never learned the truth that the "Marked Warrior" referred to Kratos. So he still thought Deimos had the potential to destroy Olympus.
@@Dee-it7un what i meant that in each time someone try to stop a prophecy will ultimately play a major role to fulfill it, so if someone came to you to warn you in form of prophecy shot them in the head.

this theory sounds way more interesting than "it was this rage that made him endure, believing the day would come when he would once again face the brother who abandoned him"
I also think this because at the end of god of war 3, Zeus says to Gaia “perhaps you should have chosen the other one”, which leads me to believe he was referring to Deimos
I’ve always wondered this, and I think he was in service to Ares since their armour is so much alike (they even have the same chains and colouring). Edit: Just thought, this is even more plausible when you think about what Zeus said to Gaia at the end of GoW III: “Your pawn has failed you, Gaia. *Perhaps you should have chosen the other one!”* Why would Zeus say this if he didn’t know what Deimos was capable of? I think this means that Zeus and the other gods (especially Ares) knew that Deimos was incredibly strong but easily manipulated, so they (or at least Ares) decided to employ Deimos whilst fuelling him with rage and contempt for Kratos in order to make him more efficient.
He said that because he never learned the truth that the "Marked Warrior" referred to Kratos. So he still thought Deimos had the potential to destroy Olympus. Stop making shit up.

I'm pretty sure Thanatos was slaving him around in his domain, obviously he was being tortured during his years of imprisonment and trying to escape that's why you see the marks on his body. He told Thanatos "you no longer have power over me", that says some things.
I honestly have to say I really appreciate your dedication to making theories on this game I have been a fan of this series since the beginning and have played every game and yet i never thought of this theory it's always a pleasure visiting the channel
Maybe Deimos wasn't a warrior who served the Gods... but a gladiator of sorts during his imprisonment... pitted against other prisoners and mythic beasts Just like with Conan the Barbarian at the start of his journey
I agree, it might also explain why Deimos his more rage towards kratos, because after Ares finds Kratos he no longer needs Deimos and so he was cast aside, which would naturally spur up more rage and hate.
Deimos in Ghost of Sparta could be as strong as Kratos before he opened Pandora’s Box. So he’s actually pretty strong...the only matter with him is that when the game says “You are dead” , Deimos can’t “restart from the last Checkpoint”
The lesson here that Zeus should’ve learned was that he should’ve wrapped up his lighting rod with a raincoat because you know what they say, “when it rains, it pours.”
I imagine in some alternate timeline, Kratos was the one who died fighting Thanatos. Deimos then avenges him, eventually takes revenge on Ares, and becomes the new God of War.
cool theory man 👍 i'm not sure they let him serve them, but we know Ares needed the marked warrior, he most likely had him trained until the point he knew Deimos wasn't THE marked warrior and was left to rot in Thanatos domain
At first i thought it was pretty clear cut that he never served the gods but now after hearing your theory, i’m agreeing with you. You pointed out things i never noticed or cared much about.
I am seriously interested what god of war would have looked like if Deimos didn't die, where did Deimos's soul go, is it still possible for us to see Deimos in a flashback or somehow come back as a soul to help Kratos fight his very last fight and was Deimos also a child of Zeus/another god/just a human
Finally a video about Deimos! I always believed there to be some mystery on him based on his strength and armor. I had a theory, that Deimos had is own missions tasked to him by Ares. Until being killed by him, after finding a more vicious warrior like Kratos. He was later imprisoned by Thanatos after trying to escape the domain of death. The powered weapon Ares gave him weathered away while being imprisoned, and that's why his gauntlets crumbled.
Aeris maybe had demios as a back up plan in case kratos failed or like orkaos when he didn't meet his expectations left him to be a servant of the Furies, Decided Demios wasn't good enough so chose kratos and left demios as a servant of Thanatos.
Btw im only like 5mins into this vid but I believe that instead of him serving the gods, they had him fight in gladiator tournaments which led to his clothing, gauntlets, armor and pure physique to being what they are. Didn’t back in ancient Rome there were always prisoners that were made to fight each other if they wanted to continue living and to entertain the rest of the citizens? I feel like this was no different for Deimos
