1. If your desire for this person is aligned with Biblical principles and commands, that is a strong sign God is giving you this desire.
2. If God is opening the door for you to actually fulfill this desire you have for this person, that is a good sign it's from God.
3. If your desire for this person is rooted in love and not selfishness, this is a good sign God has given you this desire.
4. If you desire this person because you know this relationship would help and not hurt your walk with God, that is a good sign God has given you this desire.

This makes total sense. It makes me think of when David wanted to build God a house but God said no. It was definitely biblical and a Godly thing to do but it was the wrong time and David was not the one God wanted to build it. But David did the next best thing which was getting all the supplies ready. If this is not the right person or the right time we can still do the next best thing which is preparing our hearts to receive the one God really has for us.

I believe it was God who brought her to me. After time, she didn’t have the relationship I wanted with God (yet). But not because she rejects God, but because she still has a lot to learn understand about God. And the reason we broke up now is because I believe God needs time to work on us individually. The reason I believe God sent her to me is because it was all unexpected and the way I felt with her was something so strong. She encouraged me to go to church, to pray. She enjoyed Christian music, she enjoyed going to church with me. In the end we both became selfish. And that’s why God had to come in and separate us. But it’s my Faith and signs God has sent me that keep me hopeful. Knowing that he’s in control and he will bring us back stronger and more forgiving than who we became when we ended. I took my eyes off God because of issues in the relationship. She took her eyes off the relationship and put herself first. When I prayed about it “God should I leave?” “God if she’s not the one remove her”. But God put us back and things got better, I felt God say “don’t leave”. She ended things a couple months ago for many reasons. I prayed to God everyday since. All which God will fix. I felt his presence say “Be still” and signs started coming up after. I trust God in the end. And my Faith is in him. I know God didn’t put her in my life only to remove her. I know he has plans for us. I just don’t know his plans yet. But that’s where my Faith comes in. ❤

@@LCD04 in general. It's been a long process, isolated, long journey, and it's like now I've done all that I can do , and just gotta leave the rest to God.

This is very encouraging. I am interested in a Christian lady, and her in me too. I told her that if we do get together ( the timing in not right now) that I will remain celibate till marriage, she nodded her understanding. She is very beautiful and yet I have no lustful thoughts towards her ( Job 31:1) My intention is to support her goals and love her.

I needed this!!! I’ve been staying away from this kind of content lately out of fear that watching too much would cause more idolatry within me. But man….the points here….are SO helpful. My desire right now doesn’t meet ANY of those checks at all, even though the person I want is a strong believer. Now I just need help accepting and knowing how to move forward with a No from the Lord 😭😭

From my current situation I found out that through this test & trail, God was making sure my why is in place b4 He allows me to meet and know the one He has for me. I know He knows all and I trust HIM fully with all of my heart, mind, body, & soul, even through the pain, b/c HIS burden is light and HIS yoke is easy. I had a guy who I’ve been friends with for 4 years. Just the last few months out of nowhere I developed strong romantic feelings for him. I expressed my feelings for him and he did not reciprocate… I believe my desires are from God, he is just very scared of marriage so I pray God takes that fear away!

@FLP90 I've known a guy for over twice that many years. I've always been interested but he never was. I am open to whomever God matches me with. This guy has shown interest in me over the past few months but he too is scared. I've learned that us females need to give our hearts over to God and to completely trust in Him. I started a prayer journal just for this issue and been praying to God and seeking Him. Pray for a deeper friendship with this person and ask God for guidance. I've also am understanding that fasting is something that is a tool to be used to seek a deeper relationship with God. Just treat your friend as nothing more than a friend. And I am assuming you are both Christians. Respect him as a Brother-In-Christ. Obey God's voice and wait for His instructions. Blessings to you both.
There may be another reason for your desired for a person. Some of us were asked to pray for this woman undergoing critical surgery. After success and knowing the woman I asked if I should stop praying, the answer was to continue. There is very little chance of romance but this is the thing I am praying for her..." save others, snatching them out of the fire; and show mercy to others with fear, hating even the clothing having been stained by the flesh." One of those creeps has crept in and although married he has seduced her. This may be the reason God wants for you to continue praying. Something to think about.

My friend went to church for years looked for a Christian spouse, nothing happened my friend went on a dating site, went on a date with a non believer, months later that non believer became a Christian and they got married
God's merciful. This is a bad idea! Your friend neglected the counsel of the word. But for the grace they'd have shipwrecked faith.

Back in 2021, I was talking to this girl who’s my best friend’s neighbor. We were really hitting it off, she is amazing and it looked like I was about to have my first ever relationship. However, that year I also left for the Army and didn’t tell her. I messaged her every now and then and she responded but now she hasn’t replied. I got out early (medical) and I saw she had a boyfriend but I don’t know if they’re still together. I prayed that God would please give me another chance to be with her. I try to forget about her and move on but I don’t know why I can’t. Lord please her my prayer and please give me one more chance.
She may just be in a relationship. You’ll hear from her if or when she’s free.

I was on holiday and i met this guy who I was instantly attracted to and for some reason, I just started believing more and was praying a lot after I encountered him and he himself was a Christian too. So meeting them really strengthened my trust in God and ever since that day it has been growing stronger and stronger, although I don’t have any contact with that guy and I really miss him.
I have a desire for a equally yoked guy and i believe that's from God .But above all , Its bringing me more closer to Lord relying on him and waiting patiently than forcing to open closed doors.If its from God and for glory of God, then surrendering everything to Him & praying him to guard our heart will be of great blessings❤!

This is actually a good video, i need this information bcz this young women and i went to dallas Conference Retreat on june, and we talked and developed a friend relationship, but as we soon began to talked, people hit on us that we like each other. The true is i have feelings for this young woman, but i don't know if she doesn't, but im not giving up, and i trust the Lord's time but im also scared to lose her bcz, once we talked our conversation began to dry out and its not the same. I just want her to see that i care for her and that one day she can see that.
Hello Mark, I'm not sure if these were signs from God but it was so surreal. I prayed some days ago to ask whether I should move on in the morning, however, I saw his name on the TV and in a Christian book 😳... I think God is asking me not to move on and wait to see what happens later on.
There was this guy at my place of work who I thought was godsend because I had been praying for a husband. My job description was different from his and was hard to see him sometimes. But there were moments when I used to get like a butterfly feeling in my stomach, kind of like an urgency kind of feeling. I do housekeeping in a hotel so I would always hurry to finish a room to go to the next and that was when I got that feeling. And like a clock I would see him. Sometimes in the same elevator or in the hallway. After a few exchanged words, we would go out separate ways and the feeling was completely gone. It always happened in the spawn of 2 years since I met him but didn’t connect what was happening until almost the end. Every time I had that same feeling I knew it was because I was going to see him. But now he’s gone to work somewhere else and I didn’t know after a couple of weeks. But now I know he wasn’t the one God had for me. It was very sad to come to the truth but I trust God’s timing.
I see lots of worldly advice here. Always seek God. It might just be a matter of God‘s timing. God often reveals the partner to the female First. Not least because the female is a risk of massive consequences if she ends up with the wrong person. It’s God’s way of keeping us on the shelf until the time is right.

There is a young man I have been friends with since third grade, and in the past few years his actions toward me have started to seem a little more than friendly, but he has never expressed how he feels. I know he is a Christian, so I should step back and let him lead, but I do not want to lose him.
There are some ways you can encourage him to pursue you. Mark has videos on it.
Do as God leads, just like Eve was brought to Adam, and he accepted her, just like Rebecca was brought to Isaac, and he accepted her, without even knowing him, she went. Go up to him, if it's from Our Father, he will accept you automatically, if not, he is not the one, cause you have accepted him, right? In the ways of the world, the man chooses the female, but as believers, the woman chooses her man. That's how you know it's from Our Father.

Even with all those clues, and you feel like this is from God, it must be reciprocated from the other person for that relationship and eventual marriage to be truly of God. If God is "telling you" this is the person you should marry/be married to, and you're the only one who "gets this message" and the other side doesn't feel the same way, then reexamine what God is "telling you". Be careful, brothers and sisters, with interpreting God's will through signs and things He allows to happen, and reading too much into them (going beyond God's revealed will in Scripture), as if you can know perfectly the reason behind them - as in, "God brought him/her into my life, and these things happen, and these coincidence, so He must want us to get married". You can't do this, and you will make a mistake, possibly sin, and can end up getting heart broken... Trust me, I know...

I have learned, and am learning, to give all, 100%, to relationships. That is the 'cost' of love.
It is not reciprocated. So I ask "why would God give me all of these things if she is not the one?".
It could be immaturity on her part, or mine, or both. It could be 'us' and not GOD.
Technically, a relationship is a comparison or contrast between two or more things.
A ball in my hand is a relationship. I can give everything to the ball while it sits there, and receive no reciprocation.
I believe that true love is giving with no expectation of any return. Freely given. Freely received.
I am not changing or reniggimg my efforts.

I’ve heard enough love stories to know that reciprocation in romantic feelings don’t always come at the exact same time. Don’t give up on someone because they don’t immediately like you that way. Continue to pray for this person, put yourself in their proximity and view, and wait.
@@FLP90 Absolutely. My point would be that if it doesn't come in some rasonable time , then it won't come at all, and the best thing then is to move on.
What to do when person doesnt reciprocate love over ten years except first beginning of relationship. And then crumbs . And one is newborn christian other isnt and doesnt want to obey Lord. If a man and a women are married, then it is God’s will for them to be married (divorce only permitted in very specific situations. eg adultery. (read the Bible for this)). I think the original commenter is saying if you are not married and the person you are interested in is not showing any interest back, that maybe it’s not God’s will for that marriage so to be careful in forcing your own opinions and saying that your own opinion is definitely what God told you.
After growing up in the church for 25 years its safe to say god never gave me a desire. He diid instill a great distrust of basically everything. I guess that helps.

I think is relative. I know 2 cases that the persons were not christians. You would think they shouldn't be around them. The first case he talked to her about Christ and she wasn't convinced at the beginning but eventually she came to Christ and accepted Him and this couple has at list 20 years together married. The second case the person wasn't Christian but was invited to the church, in this second case eventually he came to Christ and the couple got married as well. Not saying people should go and pursue relationships with unbelievers but this not means necessarily that these signs are exactly from God and that will happen to everyone. If you have feelings for someone just pray about it. God is faithful and He will give you an answer and direction, but I don't think just follow specific signs. Not necessarily will be just like that. Just my opinion.
Praise God for helping me to not want anything that does not profit! I therefore bind myself and my god-ordained spouse to not desire anyone else to marry than one's god-ordained spouse while binding one to desire marriage only with one's god-ordained spouse, binding to hell every unequal yoke and common share with anyone desiring to marry me while not being my god-ordained spouse, in accordance with this word and philippians 2:13, 1 corinthians 6:12, hebrews 13:4, acts 16:7-8, james 4:3, john 15:13, 2 timothy 2:22, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah, glory to God ❤!

Man, I have to tell you that you look handsome, healthy, strong and financially successful. I bet many women would not mind the man like you.
I met my ex-boyfriend in the year 2006 at College. He wins my heart after 4 yrs and we were in a relationship for 2 yrs. But we broke up because of alcohol. Still,he used to call me up not quite often but very consistent till today. He wasn't in a serious relationship anymore after we broke up,but instead he is in a deep relationship with alcohol till today.He isn't a very holy person/church guy which is also a red flag for me. Lately, I've been praying to God with only one subject for 30 days and I kept it going with another 30days and new subject. My heart has been shut down for him for the past 10yrs but recently it slowly opens up again. He has been taking about marriage all the time even though we are not officially in a relationship yet. And I am still very confused if it's God's answer to my prayers or Setan's trick or just my own desire.

What I know for a fact is that way too many of these relationship videos are popping up. It’s getting annoying.
I’m a godly man and I walk with the Lord, maybe one day some others will follow him with me. But at this point if I see an attractive woman I’m going to ask for her number. My only rules to dating are boundaries and being Christian. Everyone struggles with things so if they struggle with something, whatever, so do I.
These videos are getting tiring because they’re all made to source in views. Maybe some were made to actually help, but at this point the only one who knows God’s voice is the one who listens to it. Don’t tell me or anyone what it will sound like because it sounds different to everyone in the context of him speaking.
TL;DR If you walk with Christ you will know his voice. Too many videos like this, we only need so many.

Great way to break it down
So my friend who is a Christian, who recently started dating a married man, also a Christian from my church, who both affirm that they know this relationship and intense feelings are of Gods will, who also then had this confirmed by a 3rd party pastor who attends our church…might not be of Gods will? (That was sarcasm, of course I know that this relationship is not of Gods will.)
I also have feelings for this said female friend, and I am going the way of John 15:13 and stepping out of the church for a season to ideally lose my feelings for her, as a sacrifice of my home and family for this girl. I may not be dying for her, but it is still a huge sacrifice for me. I will be touring several other churches in the greater area around me and hoping to gain more community and connection with other bodies of believers in this time.

Hi Mark, please I need advice.
Ok, so here’s my situation, I came out of a pruning season where I was talking long distance online with a guy, then he disappeared, then I cut out a few other people in my life.
But, a over a month ago or so, this guy at my job, came into the area where I was working, and I noticed him and felt drawn to him and I asked him stuff about him and he’s a kind of shy. I wasn’t at first, but then once I came out my pruning season, I started seeing this guy in a different light. I even moved to a department of the lab that’s right next to his. I mean we can see each other from a distance but close as well. He always greets me, he’s nervous, and is shy to make eye contact. And I light up when he greets me and blush. He looks nothing how God showed me in my dreams my spouse would look like. But he’s attractive. Then this week, every time I saw him, but chest felt like it was on fire spreading thought my my body that made me feel kind of weakened, never felt that before.
The other day I saw him, we ended up bumping into each other in the break room he asked me about myself and I am now shy and blushing so much, as much as him. Then after this I went back to my work and I was smiling and felt peace and joy, I asked God for more confirmation and for my next break I went back into the break room and he was there again! And we made eye contact he was eating and made a huge gulp, got nervous. I grab my things and went outside for my lunch as I usually do. I wanted to say something but I was too nervous.
I wasn’t nervous at first when I first saw him as I was drawn to him and he told me he saw me around. But now I’m trying to stop these feelings because they are really powerful. I asked God to help me stop these feelings. I only had this put in my spirit, this what you wanted and prayed for.
I was about to leave the country but God guided me to changing my flight dates twice. I haven’t felt this way before about anyone. And I have had a few relationships. I can’t stop thinking about him even when I try to. I prayed to God last night to give me a sign and I dreamt about him. This morning I still am thinking of him. I don’t know he’s very shy and nervous only with me but he wanted to know more about me and o got nervous and shy. I get really lightweight feelings, and like my body is floating as if something is guiding me. I kept fight one my feelings now they’re worse and I really feel like he’s the one.

I have a very serious question, and it may sound strange. Suppose there is someone you love more than you ever loved anyone, and you know in your heart that God made you for him, but God didn't make him. Why would God custom make my heart just for him, but he is someone I can never meet, much less be with? I don't understand! If God loves me and wants me to be happy, then why did he make me for a man that he didn't even create?
I find your question interesting but a little unclear... You said there is 'someone you love' and 'he doesn't exist'.
Does that mean you don't have a specific person in mind?
Also, unless you have met all men, how do you know he doesn't exist?
We can be deceived by our hearts. I've been crazy about a man I feel was my soul mate. I was stuck on this man for years. I did this. Pray and ask God to take your feelings away that are not from him. And to but His desires in your heart. Be patient, stay prayerful, also take this love you have towards this man and love your self and those around you. God created man then woman and has a man out here who will make you a wife and give you the love you deserve. God promise to give our hearts desires when we focus on him. ❤️🙏
