  • I have a lazy right eyelid....it doesn't bother me much but I thought I'd show you how I correct these (when I want to). If this interests you, you can apply these tips to help you identify the areas which are raised in order to shade these areas and identify which need highlighting in order to balance these.

FOR PEOPLE WITH AMBLYOPIA - Put your finger on side of your nose from the side of your stronger eye to cover a small part of the eye and move eyes left-to-right. You'll see significant improvement because it needs to be 45-55% at least for some changes to occur. Your weak eye needs more space to be functional. Also you've probably noticed that your eyes look better in darker room than outside, so maybe you should try taking off one side of your sunglasses to have strong eye covered with glass and weak eye exposed to more light. I know a lot about amblyopia and i have it myself but i don't have equipment required for anything special to build or buy. Try to spread the word about covering part of your stronger eye for coordination so someone else in a better position can cure it for us - adults.
Best exercises for me with finger are - 100 times left to right, 100 times up-down with weak eye, 100 small circles with weak eye, 50 times big circles with both eyes. After that try doing exercises without finger but feeling your weak eye, and you'll notice huge improvement. Short question: "Did you notice that your weak eye seems to be crossed in the mirror but the strong eye is on your photos?" It's not a mirror effect, it's just weird. Our weak eye seems dead, strong eye is doing all the work, it wants both sides that's why it crosses.

Hey I just wanted to say that I found this really helpful! :)
I've been doing my research and It's actually called congenital ptosis if you've had it from birth.
I have the same problem, my left eye tends to droop more than my right. It's not too noticeable but it has made me self-conscious and if I talk to someone for a long period of time and I'm looking at them straight in the eye they will often point it out.

I have one of the rarest forms of lazy eye where i cannot get surgery wear glasses or hard contacts because my iris is severely deformed. And glasses or anything will not help. I only notice my lazy eye when i take photos or when i rest my eyes and not have them opened all the way i can feel it sinking down. Nothing helps and i wish i could do something but i can't. My right eye now is starting to loose its 20/20. i hope i can save my right eye because if i dont i wont be able to drive read or even do basic tasks. Please get help while your child is young and encourage them to wear glasses. i didn't even though i had them i also have a weirdly shaped face so i would just look under my glasses.

Some of these comments smh, I have a very similiar condition and all my eye doctors has described it as a "lazy eye". My eyes each have their own prescription, but I don't get cross eyed or anything - one eye just likes to start dropping when I get tired. People say they don't notice until I point it out but I can see it lol.
