U should consider performance in the variables.. Unless, if we talk about hypothetical and all the riders have the same performance, then the rest depends on mechanics. But the reality is, not all riders have the same performance.
NeomG ,you are absolutely right but there are nuggets out there that cannot grasp that fact,I've been cycling for a lot of years and racing and know what it takes.
The secret is having Leinders as team doctor. Even at Rabobank he worked the doping individually with team looking away. Would not be surprised. Micro transfusions and micro epo injections are hardly detectable, Froome is known to have used Salbutamol which according to Willy Voet(a soigneur of the Festina team) is a game changer drug even in the 90s. Anyway cycling is fucked and will stay fucked, even if 90 percent might want a clean sport it only takes one USPS or whatever team to screw it up and have other great riders decide they should dope too because they cant win anymore.
oh yes! i still remember the battles of Andy Schleck and Alberto Contador, for example! What a great time that was But let's see, maybe the whole sky era and riding style is just temporary, at least that's what I hope.
bulfri Not just sky my friend. If sky aren’t in the lead of a gc the leaders team would do the same. Quintana Vuelta 2016 Movistar did that all the time
Joe Whiteley0711 The problem is that Thomas and Froome rely on helpers, always looking behind if there's an attack and then Poels or Bernal closes the gap, they are the leaders, they should react, it's just almost boring to watch. If you compare that with Alberto Contador..
Gamefreaker1 98 If it works for them and also they don’t Always rely on teammates look at froomes solo ride. Also people like Quintana Bardet etc all rely on domestiques. It’s just they aren’t as good so they aren’t present
have you tried inhalers? this wouldn't make you any more able to move out of your chair. Get a good look in the mirror. In sports, it is useful for those who suffer from asthma induced by prolonged efforts, but there is no chance you know what these latter words mean.
Guillame, I heard a Consultant on Radio 4 saying the strength of inhaler that Team Sky were taking would only be prescribed if the patient was in A&E with severe breathing disorder. He said anyone with that level of breathing difficulty shouldn't be engaged in any sport.
Joe, it depends what strength yours is. You're not doping you're coping. The point the Consultant was making is that the super-strength steroid inhalers Team Sky take are the ones that would only be administered for severe-emergency breathing difficulties, the sort you see in A&E.
Still, inhalers. I think people just want to hate. This is inhalers we are talking about, the use of which is permitted in races. The loss in performance/confidence/motivation induced by the uncalled for hate and booing all around the tour largely outweighs the performance gains from salbutamol, which are zero. Seriously, all these people who hate on salbutamol use should just try and use some, to see if this has any effect on their body when they (start?) doing sport. It will not. No effect, zero, none, if you don't have asthma. I have 0 asthma in normal condition, but I have exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (exerise-induced asthma). If I do not use salbutamol, after ~~ 6 hours of efforts, my breathing starts breaking down to the point where I can only use a fraction of my lung capacity. If sports were my profession, salbutamol would save my carreer. Maybe those who have exercise-induced asthma should not be allowed to become professional cyclists. This is a legitimate question. But as long as we allow them to compete (and thus use medicine), we should just accept that they use it. This is so crazy what people do in the tour out of boredom and stupidity over the use of salbutamol.
Of course no... Some athlets in his situation have been suspend, search and you will see... His from sky and calls Christopher Froome, thats the reason
an alleged TUE violation, aka. AAF - which by the way has been cleared, in case you've been living under a rock - is _not_ doping. get your facts straight.
Money = quality = dominance

Very true. Same in every sport

Sky is tactically really impressive, and thanks to that they are a dominant force in the peloton. It’s as simple as that
