I first experienced Dave and his brilliant humor back in the early 70's as a teenager in Canada and Loved his comedy then. Now as an older adult, returning to his humor and wit has helped me with dealing with the occasional depression that accompanies daily living. I'm very grateful for that relief😁
Agreed. I have a friend in America and he had never heard of him. I suggested that he looked online at him. He is hooked. Another one which American's have not heard of is a comedy called Red Dwarf. There is now an appreciation group called Dwarfers. It is hilarious. I constantly watch both of these after a rough day.

He was Irish, from Dublin, a very close neighbour to the UK, so we knew him well. I missed his humour very much when he died, he was very gifted, and an excellent Comedian. Sadly he died in 2005. and the only comedian that i loved and respected

Strangly enough I hate most comedians because they come across as loud mouthed attention seekers. Comedians that lots of people think are hilarious really irritate me. They try too hard and swear too much. Dave Allen swears just enough to emphasise his frustration about whatever subject he is talking about. It's so sad that he didn't live longer and continue to mock today's society. I may have to do it for him! THIS MAN WAS SENSATIONAL AND MADE IT LOOK EFFORTLESS.

Here in America in Pittsburgh Pa WPGH TV use to carry his show back before becoming a Fox affiliate back in the early 80's right after Benny Hill, always loved his show, great seeing it here.

Dave Allen is a legend. I'm 64 now and I grew up watching him. I think most modern comedians cite him as an influence.
