I'm Aussie, and it's guys like this that show me how much the Irish have influenced our culture. We are very much a British 'soup' so-to-speak, but the Irish definitely had a huge impact on our culture, and, as I said, it's guys like Allen who who just show how much the Irish impacted on the Australian accent and cultural mindset. And it remains to this day.

I am certainly not a ladies man . But I do know a good number of women as friends . Now the vast majority of these females are middle of the road , don't follow politics or anything else except for gossip , and keeping up on political correctness . The vast majority would give Dave hell for these mild jokes about differences of men and women . I know one who laughs her head off when she sees and listens to this type of comedy . And on top of that she is an economic socialist ! i think its those everyday females today who have got us men by the you know what , lol !
Same here, she happens to be my girlfriend. She loves anything politics, humour related, that is. Only thing is me and her don't exactly see eye to eye on certain political issues, but that doesn't get in the way of our relationship. Point is, I get where you're coming from, it's nice to actually be able to talk to her about stuff like that
His story telling was great though the punchlines were always a bit lame. But the hypnosis story is told with great expression. The unfortunate anti-gay joke was nicked from Bob Hope - should have been left there. Otherwise, an amazing man.

Considering the time and place, it's equivalent to a comedian taking the piss at the government in Germany nineteen thirty seven.
He got past standup, and created sitdown comedy. Way ahead of everyone.
His best stand-up was when he used to sit down.
Dave was so on point with the catholic religion and life. I loved him then and now.
So good that he had the confidence to be a sit-down comic.
How I miss that man. Used to sit with me da on a Saturday night and the both of us roaring with laughter.
