You guys did a great job one that boat! I also have to say this: that young lady is absolutely wonderful!! I can tell she is a catch! Don’t ever let her go! Treat her good!!!!
of all the times I've seen seawinds, I've always wondered why the beds had to be so high, and couldn't be built to be lower.... the first time ever on youtube you have shown it's because there are escape hatches under the beds! it explains so much!
Wow, a bit more room than the Cruiser... Absolutely love it - congrats!! AND... like good Americans, I love how you refuse to use the metric system. Instead, we now have the CKU - Cubic Kelsey Units... Well done! 😁
Being that this is hull #1 , I can’t stop being amazed by the excellent condition of the boat, but then again it is a Seawind ! Thank you for the tour, first time I have seen a 1260 with 4 cabins! Can’t wait to see more of your adventures and voyages 👍
Great layout and the equipment is awesome. One caution: about all that storage space - "stuff" expands to fill the space available. "Stuff" all weighs something. Ounces add up to pounds (or grams add up to kilograms). Weight translates directly (and invesly) to speed. Every ounce will slow you down. If you fill all that storage space with "stuff", you will sailing a real slug. It doesn't matter if it is a catamaran or monohull. Over the years that will irritate you far more than the "stuff" will give you joy.
We bought a boat in Grenada in April and will be moving on to it in September and sailing in November. We live in Lake Havasu City AZ. Excited to watch your journey
Haha I never understood the ice-maker until living in FL on a boat! We have plenty of ice trays for now but we are certainly not against an ice-maker one day!
Gone with the wynss did the same thing with turning a room into the garage. I think it’s a smart thing to do. Having guest rooms is awesome but you gotta have everything organized!
I have one thing I would add and that is extra fans in the master suite, galley, and saloon. At a later time, a washer/dryer combo. Great job on the screens! They are expensive. She is looking good. Thank you for the tour. Happy Sailing ⛵!
@@SaltySunriseSailing you kiddos be safe out there. There’s a lot of bad people in the world each days unfortunately that’s the truth. Love you channel. Love what you do God bless.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great video! Given my nautical OCD, I enjoyed the organization. One suggestion is you can never have enough storage areas for provisions. You’ll be surprised how quickly provisions will fill up every nook and cranny! Wait for your first long passage and off grid anchorages, you’ll wish you brought more provisions. Great job!
Wow, you guys are living large in that boat. But I can see something that's definitely should be on the list to buy. A grill. Enjoyed the walkthrough...
Hot damn that is an amazing home! Thanks for the awesome tour! I was surprised with the accuracy of the conversion ratio from Kelseys to Bald Eagles, I calculated 1 Kelsey = 9.25 Bald Eagles😄
@@SaltySunriseSailing wow, amo su nuevo hogar!!😍 I definitely want to go visit you guys, whenever you or us make it to cross that little water called ocean towards Oz or USA! easy! LOL😅 Btw, I am probably only 1/2 a bald eagle 😆😘
Loved the tour guys, probably the only boat I didn’t look at when I was shopping! Love the galley down, mines up top and it’s perfectly fine but id’ve rather had more salon area. Enjoy your travels! 🤘🏼😎
Was wondering how you guys do your laundry. I purchased a Zeny mini washing machine a few months ago as a hold over for my broken full size and it absolutely great. It seems all the brands are similar but I can say the one I bought, which has a 9.9lb capacity is wonderful. So great seeing all the aspects of the boat. It almost feels like a tree house or a fort when we were kids. Too cool!
Can’t believe you bought that in Florida. You should have done a Southern California desert sailboat with 0 frame rust. :D Great setup. Not grossly oversized for a catamaran and everything has a place. Compared to the Land Cruiser, that bed is huge. The side kitchen is way better in my opinion, more stable and you have some great windows. I like the fridge choice, yaght fridges get way too expensive. Looking forward to seeing where you guys end up next. How are you recovering after your last long sail? Are you guys thinking about taking the canal and heading to the west coast or is the Caribbean looking like a good cruising ground for now?
Thank you! Haha recovering well (haven't gotten sick again thankfully) and we cannot wait to get over to the Sea of Cortez! We aren't in any rush though, want to enjoy everything along the way!
I don't like escape hatches because if your boat turtles than you have an air filled chamber. As soon as you break that air tight chamber than your boat sinks.
@@SaltySunriseSailing Right on! I like the thought of pulling up on a sailboat, docking and then hopping on a skateboard and exploring a new town. Thanks for answering. Hope you guys have a great summer.
Thanks for the great tour, guys! I've been a Seawind fan for a long time now, and this is the best 1260 tour I've seen. One question though... The starboard side garage is a great idea, but it looks like engine access would be very difficult. Especially if the frig/freezer is full! Is there alternate accessibility through the cockpit, or does everything have to be hauled out every time you check the oil?
Nice walk-through and beautiful boat! I don't remember if you mentioned it, does the boat have AC? What are some of the things you think you'll want to add as you sail along?
Thank you. We do not have AC (we'll let you know how that goes after we get through the summer haha) but so far it has been fine. We need to add some newer solar panels that are a bit more efficient, the ones on there are original, but really nothing big we want to change, things like sails will need to be replaced eventually but we are pretty happy with all the upgrades we have made so far.
Great tour and progress! I have had my Gen 3 Starlink replaced 3 times for free but wondering if you can get them to upgrade to a better dish for sailing..????

To keep your towels on the towel bar, clip a clothespin just beneath the bar and it will hold the towels on.

Washer/dryer and an icemaker.

It's such a beautiful boat and so we'll designed and laid out.
If you don’t already, follow Tula’s Endless Summer who also have a Seawind and what she just did to add more shade to your windows.

what an amazing vessel to live and explore on.. nice choice!

it's a marvellous boat! waiting for the exterior tour, I've a question... have you planned some route/tour/something?
We are currently heading north during hurricane season, then plan to head south and continue on...

Soo... just wondering, is there any storage on this Kat!? ;p Happy 4 you both, this is really a great looking sailboat.
Haha absolutely no storage!
Wow that is impressive. Do you have a washer / dryer?
Kelsey, Have you recovered from
seasickness ? Have you an Coffeemaschine on board?
Yes, thank you! I am feeling much better! We just use our Aeropress or French press for coffee right now.
It looks like an amazing boat. I was just wondering though, is there no nav station? Is that typical for newer boats?
Great tour. Have you thought about using magnetic bar for your knives?
Yes, that is probably better option but this is what we had so for now it will work.
Some people have reported magnetic knife strips interfering with compasses and nav kit. I think the O’Kellys talked about it.
We've had no issues. It's a small magnet 20+ feet from the compass. So far so good. 🤞
@@SaltySunriseSailing good to know, I love magnetic knife strips, but I also love a working compass 😁
@@Angie-in8wc yah, on a kitchen up layout the magnet would be right next to the compass. No bueno.

No the fridge scoots (even when full) and allows access. You do have to climb over it but that's not an issue for us.
