This is the best way to keep young its worrying in storms at 78 and wife 40 i sometimes lack strength but adrenlinin creeps in and we make up sleeping in lol well done you two
Oh wow. Welcome to our home. Stay here for a while and do the refit here. There are many talented craftsmen in KZN and in Cape Town to do a refit. As for moving the boat. You could consider a delivery crew and skipper to not only help you take the boat, but can also help with some proper sailing lessons. You are paying for it anyway ... so make the most of the expertise.
She's a Cat a strong Cat, she was made for one thing and that is to sail the seas. The endeavor you guy's started seems to have been a monumental task so far and you're still smiling. It's the journey, not the time or distance, the journey is all that matters. Set sail guys and leave doubt and regrets behind you,
I have been watching your channel since you started and did a double take when I saw your new boat. What a small world, I saw this boat being built you got yourself one hell of an amazing machine. Have great fun sailing her and I can’t wait to see the videos.
What a view on the ocean that must be... Gotta be theeee perfect cat , size and safety... You seem to have the nicest boats in the world... This is a dream boat for single handing anywhere you want to go ... Id be off for Monaco ASAP and watch F1 .. enjoy yourselves 😊😊😊
Seeing the boat in Durban was great. Learnt to sail dinghies and keelers in Durban harbour and everything was so familiar including the silt canal where you hauled out on the Bluff side. The South African coast is challenging and scary!
Hello Mike. The Bluff exit and entry was a real adventure!! Fighting 100 large trucks all going the wrong way was epic. But the folks from Durban were amazing. Everyone lended a helping hand and we listened to some very good stories Capt W and Iana
Interesting, you are now the 3rd Aluminum Catamaran. Sv DELOS has been building theirs in Australia. And, Plucky, has been building his Aluminum Catamaran in Vietnam.
I guess RUclips knows me better than I do myself. I kept seeing this episode come up in my feed, but continued to ignore it. Well tonight I decided to give it a view and I am so glad I did. You both are excellent bloggers! Thank you!
Hello and WELCOME!! Happy you came to visit our crazy world. We have grown a lot in past 7 years but never stop to enjoy life on the water. Capt W and Iana
Now, this is a boat! Holly S _ _ _. You could hit a whale with that boat. Waterproof bulkheads, aluminum hull, and a washing machine for Yana! It doesn't get any better than that. I've watched you guys since the original Dawn Hunter, and I asked you this question long ago. Does Yana have an older sister? (LOL). This adventure is going to be epic. This is the boat you have always dreamed of. Have fun, guys.
Congratulations on the new Cat & dog, I'm so excited for you guys. The build is half the journey. Very impressive captain's chair. Can't wait to see how fast she goes. Surveillance on the corners for pirates of course. Safe journey my friend May the winds forever be in your favor...
WoW what another beautiful boat. Every boat you have had you have really put your marks on them and made them beautiful homes. Absolutely fantastic work and dedication. I do hope whatever decision you make you will both be very happy with your bigger newer home. You do make me laugh also so thanks for that!!
Congratulations on your new (to you) cat! Based on your needs, and desire for safety, I suggest you ship your new cat. That said, Sailing Ruby Rose recently shipped their cat the other way (Thailand area to the Med.) and had some big issues that were caused on board the cargo ship. So, there is that to consider... Still, forewarned can help to alleviate some issues, so it could be a negotiation point with the shipper (no welding, grinding, or painting on the ship unless they carefully and completely wrap your cat to protect it!). I look forward to seeing what you do and what you do with the cat! All the best!
Now that's a boat, wowww, that was great find,William knows what time it is😁,it's time to get to work and make it your own💕💪🐬best of luck ,God bless 🙏 you both and your new home
congrats you guys. Gunboat are great and robust and stealthy. Looking forward to see your new adventures. wow remember you both working on your first boat seems so long ago. cheers all the best x
Wow, Wow, Wow, what a boat. I cannot wait to watch the process till you get her completely done she is going to be an absolute beauty. The projects that you two take on surely are not for the faint of heart. It amazes me how you can take a little bit of something here and a little bit of something there and turn it into a really funny , cool , yet informative video. Just an FYI Ruby Rose ship their new cat and it came through needing basically a brand new paint job, it had they said rust thrown all over it so if you decide to ship maybe you need to shrink wrap don't know if that would even take care of it. Why not sail it, You guys are always in for an adventure right? As always God bless and stay safe out there till next time
Now that's a boat . I hope you sail Her back to the Philippines , would make for a good few episodes . You pair seem to be going from strength to strength , each episode is full of fun , laughter and LOVE . Fair winds people and keep doing what you are doing ..
Wow I’m really excited for you guys! It will be so much fun following how you build out your new home. South Africa seems like a great place to be working on it.
Great video! We just sailed from Brazil (Salvador) to Curacao (hurricane season), hoping you cross the South Atlantic to Brazil, because it is a unique country, and come to Curacao for hurricane season, knowingit is the best hurricane hole in the Caribbean.
Hello guys from Alaska, where we use aluminum boats quite a bit. Tough as nails, can be beached, reasonably, easy to repair and maintain. My goodness that is a major retrofit on a boat that size. But it certainly looks like you guys know what you’re doing. I was telling somebody the other day that if I were rich, I would get myself an expedition cat. Crewed on a Friends catamaran For a 900 mile race and just loved it. I have my own small Catalina sailboat and have crude on 50 foot custom steel boats before and just love them. Good to see you guys going with induction cooktops and making the most out of the large battery bank. Can’t wait to see the full tour ! 15°F here right now so I’m living vicariously through your channel while my boat is under its winter cover and I’m doing repairs and maintenance items so it’s ready for the spring season which begins in late April here.
Hello to Alaska !!!! Brrrrrrr- I am super happy to be in the warm weather. I grew up near the in northern Michigan new Canadian boarder where snow would bury the cars each 2 weeks. Happy to dodge coconuts now. Lol Welcome aboard Capt W
Well, the boat change was unexpected but the new one looks pretty capable for rough seas. I like the inside helm station. One day with both your permissions, you could take us on a tour of Yana's tatoo. Maybe with a story line. Fair Winds!
Wonderful, great to see you again and enjoying yourself on a metal boat, yikes with all the upgrades $$$, She is going to be fantastic! You two allways so upbeat & excited,Looking It & Good for you ! Can’t wait to see her flying across the ocean, she looks to be a fast Demon ! See you soon 🇨🇦 Cdn. Dave 🇨🇦
Congratulations on your purchase) This catamaran has been on sale for a long time. I also looked at ads on the Internet, I don't remember why I didn't decide to fly to South Africa. I even subscribed to you now, starting with this episode. Although sometimes I watched your channel starting with the repair of an iron boat. With best wishes from cold Russia)
You guys are crazy, but I mean that in a good way. What a life you live. As for getting the Tiger to Thailand: I would not transport it over land. Hire an experienced crew and during your crossing you will see what works and what you need to make it the perfect boat. No better time to work out the bugs. After 6000 miles, you will know everything you need to know about the boat (hopefully). Also I would wait to cross where the weather is better and avoid any major storms if that’s possible.
Magnificent update, thank you! You demonstrate so much joy and excitement with the refit and in what is to come. I’d have to see the numbers to evaluate ship, crew, or solo sail from a financial perspective. If your objective is to get it to Thailand then I’d probably lean towards ship or hire a crew, depending upon costs. The upside with a crew is you get to experience the trip with an extensive shake-down and expertise onboard. The downside is you have dangerous waters along your route and many open oceans. Issues could be a bitch to deal with. Since I tend to be risk-averse, I’d tend towards shipping and do the extensive shakedown in the Thai waters you know. I don't think even you guys should solo sail that far. I look forward to seeing more from you!
Sail the boat yourselves and share your travel videos and experiences. South Africa to Thailand should be a lot of fun! You guys are fun and compliment each other. Or, get a sailing couple adventurous friends.
Sailing up the East Coast of Africa across the the east where you've been sailing lately would be an interesting event especially with the cat you just bought as long as it's all mechanically sound
Stay around for awhile and enjoy the area you are in, then sail it when the weather is better. I enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing them all! Best wishes from (New) Jersey USA.
😄👍 you can always find young sailing crew wanting to travel to different countries, advertise in backpackers and places where young people visit all the time. Do it as a tucker trip, you feed them and they travel for free. It’s worth a try.
You are correct -- the lower cabins are tight due to the narrow hull designs but as we spend 90% of our time up top this is perfect for living aboard. Capt W
Great to see you guys again wow new boat 🚤 awesome 👏 looking forward to seeing your travels once again.much love ❤️ and respect from Glenn New Zealand 🇳🇿

It seems I am constantly seeing older sailing guys with considerably younger ladies. Makes me want to buy a boat!
