Very good effort, really .. I hope you succeed and achieve what you want. I gotta a tiny tip for you .. If you are teaching ESL(?), especially a basic concept like this, leave out the jargon (voiced/ voiceless etc.) because it will only confuse people and draw attention away from the main point. Lead with what the learner will have achieved by the end of the 10 minutes, rather than this is a difficult lesson. I've studied phonetics for quite a long time and honestly never heard that voiceless sounds are from the front part of your mouth and voiced sounds are deeper in your throat?! You have /s/ and /z/ and the first is voiceless and the latter is voiced and they are coming from the exact same spot in your mouth! /k/ /g/ same story and many others .. it's only a question of (are the vocal folds vibrating or not?)
Thank you for your comment! I really appreciate feedback, so thank you for your suggestions. What I was trying to explain is that you can tell a sound is voiced by the vibration in your throat. I was hoping that would be easier for lower level students to identify, rather than teaching a phonetics lesson :) Again, thank you for your critique!
