Of course I'm sure you don't have time to see all coments about your class but I feel your speachs rising between lots of brazilian people. More than ever.... I am watching all your lessons again and again. 've been living here in the USA for more than 30 years ,,, still got an accent, but improving... xoxo
Hi Keenyn, I think linking is one of the most challenging areas for us, unlucky English learners, to learn and master. Well, native speakers are lucky, for they do not have to learn these... Thank you for your clear instructions and great examples. You are the BEST! Best, Albert
It's a myth that native English speakers speak like this presented in the video. It's saying that some colloquial sociolect is the only way to sound natural. Linking is lax speaking, like sociolects in German eleminating the natural glottis stops interword.
It is very important to learn the words that are connected to the word in front of them so that the sound is different ( linking lesson) besides we are required to enrich the vocabulary ( the differences in words), thanks to Miss Keenyh Rodhes exelent teacher.
Finally I have found the right person to clarify my English pronunciation and understanding. Congratulations Ms Keenyn. Your method is the best. Your pronunciation is the clearest for a learner. Walmir. Brazil.
hi guys this is the clear English corner and I'm Keenan your personal American English pronunciation coach in this lesson were talking about linking linking refers to how sounds flow together between words and spoken English spoken English is very different from written English in written English there's a very clear distinct white spaces between each word but if you talk like there are white spaces between each word you sound choppy and you don't have that natural fluency and flow that you're striving for ... I understand you clearly
She speaks slowly. Erivaldo to practice your listening you can use the videos from Americans channel. I learn a lot using this type of videos. They speak really fast in ther videos. It's a great feeling understand native speakers isn't it? God bless you Erivaldo and our teacher!!!
Hello Keenyn, your way of teaching pronunciation is quite clear, I did not know you and now I can affirm that you have a beautiful voice, in addition to a charming smile, so it causes you to watch your videos again and again, I congratulate you for dedicating your time and passion towards Your subscribers, we love you!
I really enjoyed having you as a teacher. I learned so much from you and was not at all bored during class. Thanks for all that you do and for making learning fun.
Hi Keenyn: I just wanted to say 'thank you' for these videos! They are very educative. They have helped me tremendously with my spoken English. Practice, no doubt, is key to improvement. I would love you to make a video that shows the rhythm of American English. A billion thanks Keenyn!
Hi, Ms.Keenan👋 Your videos really help me to get to know the differences in sound between English and Japanese, which is my first language. In Japanese, we mainly make sounds with the tongue while, in English, they do with breath and lips. Without knowing this difference, it should be more difficult to speak English. Your tips are my lifesaver. Arigao from 🇯🇵🛩️🇺🇸
Omg, this is so helpful. This simple and clear explanation made me see these linking patterns and easily adapt to sound more natural. Completely game changing! Thank you
The way you teach is excellent !!!! your lessons really make me feel comfortable in pronouncing the words like native speakers. so, thanks alot dear Keenyn.
Hi, thank you for not being callous, I feel so grateful to find you, I've been having a desire of learning English ,it's over now I'm gonna sound like native,I love absolutely❤
Teacher Miss Keenyn, you're the best spoken American English teacher I have seen on RUclips so far, and I benefit a lot. Thanks a lot. Watching videos of such a professional and pretty teacher like you is a really enjoying😀🌷.
Thank you for the Great Channel.. I've been tought that when a word ends with the same first letter of the next word, I drop the second similar letter from the second word. Which is true please? Thank you again.
You wouldn'y want to drop the sound, especially if it's a stop consonants. The phrase "bad day" would not become "ba day" or "bad ay." This is why I talk about holding the stop then releasing it into the next word. It's not disappearing, it's just joining the two words. With a continuous sound you just want to keep the airflow going. "Was so" becomes "wassso" not "wa so." I hope this makes some sense! 😊
Excellent expressions with proficient teacher are being conveyed to the Students. She is great teacher with tremendous knowledge. I wish her more successful
I must say you look gorgeous😍. I think your work is identical to Rachel's English with some plus points as in you are bit slow which helps intermediate like us to understand better.. In simple word more inclusive and holistic..Love you..
Your lessons are just amazing, as becuse of you, I've started to love the American accent since i have been used to talk with the British accent.. I have one suggestion if you don't mind, what do you think about creating a group on WhatsApp or viber which is aiming to improve the writing and speaking skills between you and your followers, and it should be administrated by you of course.. Thank you for your kind words Miqdam Abdullah! So glad you are enjoying the lessons! 😊🤗💕 I think it is a wonderful suggestion, and I hope to start a group like this when my first online course publishes in order to give extra help and support to my students!
Your lessons would be more helpful if you added some kind of short from movies, ads, news, or random videos people upload to the interned speaking at a normal speed so we can perceive what you are teaching. For example you take a clip and after they finish speaking, you proceed to explain the linking words they used. Your lessons are great though.

I have a question , in the example with that , the th in with is voiced , right ?
The voicing actually falls away with this combination ad the final TH in with is voiceless in conversational American English pronunciation...
