fun fact!: the original color palette for currents was blue and pink, which would've gave it an even more candy-like look, but I couldnt make it work, but your comment was surprisingly on-point 0:

Interesting to know! Every now and then I just think little things and they'll end up as a point in the script. Not a very useful thing to point out but still interesting to me :D

One more little thing about quickracer's map: he now has the two most impressive transitions between completely different environments (the dive from desert to ice cave in Tostarena and the transition into the void on COTD - Into Another Realm).

Oh for sure, wonderfully executed. Although because I am familiar with odyssey I was kind of expecting it, so I may have glossed over that point :P

the flipside track is an og that def stands out tho... but yeah your point probably still stands :P

I don't play Zeepkist myself but I like to witness the positive and creative energy coming from its community. Also the fact that it appears to be pretty accepting is so cool.

For sure! The game has a lot of community engagement, even if it's on the small side. Not many people going out of their way to provide critical information like this, so I'm glad to be providing that for others :D

Yes it is, I’ve been playing this game for about a year now and most players are quite welcoming a willing to assist others.

yeah I'm sorry! The rush of doing this in a week made me forget a few things in some scripts, the "matter meter" probably the most offending one I missed :P
But I'm glad you're enjoying it!

no need to apologize!!!!! i get that theres only so much time in a week to make these and thats ok :D but for a weeks time WOW is this high quality editing

Guess it’s time for my comment!
A day after I submitted it, I made a quick update to the level, and I guess the review was written within that time.
    The things I changed were
    - the removal of that one slowster (It never did anything, and was just there to mark where you were supposed to go)
-added more directional signs, specifically to the ending part which I noticed people had trouble on.
The final change was made to the ‘shortcut’ to remove any question marks. Basically I’m working on a hard mode version of this track, and to keep the levels consistent, I kept in the new route, but made it impassible. Some I saw were confused on this, I further blocked up the entrance of the tunnel.
And as a final note, yes, the level is laggy; the goal was to create an art piece, and I think it was necessary to sacrifice playability to that end. However, I am also working on a Lite version, which aims to significantly reduce part count.
Fun fact, if you thought the current version was unoptimized, an older version of the map had 6500 parts. Yeesh
Anyways, hope you enjoyed, I had a blast making the map, and I hope to make more soon!

It is a very good-looking level for sure, and the changes you made have definitely made it better. And yes, sorry, I had only noticed the update after I had already written and recorded the review.

Thanks for the nice words on my map! A lot of work went into the map and i am verry pleased with the outcome. I feel like I am actually evolving as a builder these days which is a good thing. (Also the awesome goomba's are a bluprint from diabler)

Multi-path tracks are so hard to make and even harder when you try to fit it around specific theming.
      Such an impressive build!

Excellent video, so useful for all mappers.
I hope you'll have a map with booster RNG in a following episode as it'd be a nice occasion to talk about this aspect I struggled with so much as a mapper.
The summary in the intro comes and goes a bit too fast to be read without pausing the video.

    • @Linzi_
      @Linzi_  6 месяцев назад

      Glad you like it!
The intro wasn't really meant to be read, it's for the mappers that submitted to see that their level is included in the video, as the thumbnail design doesn't allow us to show all 6 maps there. So they'll open the video, see their map is in it, and either skip to their map with the timestamps or watch all the way through.

Do you use Metalteds mod for the camera movement?
I really enjoy them and the videos! Keep it up. zeepkist needs more content like this

No mod used! tbh I legit just couldn't find it so I am doing them all manually lol. I don't mind it honestly, they don't take very long to record all the shots I need.
