Super cool to see that there's a steam deck preset for a game that came out well before the steam deck is honestly amazing and makes me super happy to see. I would definitely consider getting the Witcher 3 knowing that they went through the trouble to optimize for our little handheld
Thanks for watching. Yeah CDPR get a lot of stick but it is really handy having the preset. More games are getting a preset and hopefully that trend will continue.
My laptop was able to handle Witcher 3 at 720p30 maximum settings. And the Deck is significantly superior to my laptop. The Witcher 3 is one of the few properly optimized games on PC The next gen update, I can only do 30fps at minimum possible settings and it looks worse than lowest settings on the original, to no surprise But for the Deck, the Next Gen seems to run better than old. Lowest possible settings couldn't even get 60fps. Now it has a preset that targets and holds 60fps. I wouldn't trade quality and immersion for a measly 60fps tho. I'm a "Quality over Quantity" type
Hi, thanks for watching. Yes I did update to that version for my PC. Although I did not choose to use the next gen version for Steam Deck, i'm not wholly sure that it's possible to revert back. I will look into it.
