It was featured on donut I believe
It was an ae85 with an engine swap and a bunch of other things to make it an almost perfect replica
Ae85 had a for 4AC carburettor and drum brakes .
Although as mine shows it is still ae86stamped because it's the chassis model.
True 86is what you would call gt-apex toureno or Levin that had JDM seats and some had different gages although they all have 16v 86kw motor.. I have the Na 100 me black Top.
As mine was a Australia spec sprinter ae85hatch with 4ac and drum brakes.. .
Now is a Levin with TRD 2way LSD 100kw Na blacktop. And understanding rebuild with turbo new paint.
By the way it's the same car no difference not a replica it is the same car.
only due country specifications did things change like in the USA they had a rear indercator put on the rear guard still is ae86 printed in chassis multiple times 👌 oh and tail lights changed config on different release due again to country legislation
Its an AE86 Trueno because only truenos are in an AE86 category.
@@S-RyosuccFC3Swrong, there were AE85's with the Trueno body.
The chassis codes for the AE85 and AE86 only described which trim level each RWD E80 Corolla was built as. The AE85 being made for economy while the AE86 being made for performance, with the exception of the North American SR5 but it was still marketed as sporty :P
@@fordgalaxie3695 ok
@@S-RyosuccFC3Sbruh ae85 é diferente de ae86 levin o ae85 não é só levin também existem os ae85 trueno fan boy de initial d
As one American cartoon says: Shut up and take my money! I love 86
It was futurama
@@Successful_Nation yeah
Nigga really just called futurama “one American cartoon”
The GR86 (modern AE86) was inspired by initial D. It's an amazing car and handles corners perfectly and drifts really nicely. You should test drive one some day, you might just fall in love with it- I upgraded to a honda coupe for the extra horse power because driving a manual in the city for work is not ideal for me considering the the constant daily traffic here lol
Yes I would pay that for a ae86 love the car it's my dream car
Same here but I would want to use it as my actual everyday car and that being that old of a car isn’t good as it has terrible acceleration and no airbags so honestly if you want one get either the gr86 or wait and see if Toyota sells the ae86 h2 which runs on hydrogen and is actually good for modern day use
@@notnowboi7795 my family has daily driven a 1976 saab 96 for years. So a newer Corolla with pretty good acceleration would actually be nice. I don't like modern cars they're too electronic, I want to feel what my car is doing (no abs, no ps, no tsc) and from experience are most 80-90 cars are way more reliable than modern once.
@@destiny2drang650”96 years” and yeah I understand what your saying but still it has no airbags which if you crash that could be even more fatal but if you want a older car try to get something around the 90s that has good acceleration and it’s some what sporty or just spend like 50k upgrading a ae86 and get a wheel that has fully working airbags and a good engine
@@notnowboi7795 its not 96 years the model is the 96, saab 96 made between 1960 and 1980. Also the ae86 has good acceleration and a good engine, the lack of airbags is just a minor inconvenience. I've been in pretty violent crashed without airbags. Most 90s cars here are fwd...
@@destiny2drang650 well still you should need something with airbags and as I said wait for the ae86 h2 or get the gr86
MITSUI has been getting decent priced ae86z for around 23k that’s not to bad for car you could beat the living shit out of it and it will still run no problem
For american it is small but for european it is medium-small and the tire are quite big ! 130hp was also quite a lot in the 80s but for american it is small and underpowered but 130hp is all you need in a -800kilo car
His hand was almost bigger than the tire
Thats just the angle bro
@@broccoli-kn9fk ok
But where tf is my tofu?! 😂
As a proud Initial D fan, I would do whatever it takes, even if I have to spend whatever I've got, to just get in that car.. I just can't believe that Initial D has ended and the new star, Kanata Katagiri has come, but still Takumi Fujiwara and Project D will always remain in my heart❤❤❤😭✨
"What is this car" its the entirety of eurobeat
That AE86 is sweet but that LS400 next to it is CLEAN, currently looking for an LS400 of my own and having no luck 😢 but it such a recognizable car
Weird as it sounds, I would absolutely love an AE85 if it DIDN'T have the Initial D livery - my nostalgia for the car is from NFS Underground 2, so I'd probably just paint mine orange
I’d would, if it’s legit. Iconic and a beautiful machine.
t h e g a s g a s c a r
This is the sr5 which is the equivalent to the ae85 in Japan. We also got the gts- twin cam which was the USA’s AE86
If i saw this one drive by speeding in my neighbourhood while playing gasgasgas i would not even be mad.
I would just chuckle for once and agree with a crazy person doing crazy stuff.
Left hand drive that tells me this is a factory AE85 Corolla GTS more than likely with trueno body parts and badges, but 85/86 are two sides of the SAME E80 CHASSIS AE85 means it has the smaller engine configuration and AE86 Means it has the larger engine configuration, the Corolla is my specialty I am personally after an E100 after owning an AE102 Corolla DX now I am somewhat after an AE101 with the smaller 1.4L 4AFE engine over the larger 1.7L 7AFE engine simply because the 4AFE comes with a manual transmission stock and i can easily swap in a 7AFE or even a 4AGE 20v blacktop from an AE111 Corolla Levin
Yes the hood paint looks pristine
yes. take my money
Gt corolla is very beautiful, in finland we have only levin coupes and not many trueno’s
If I want a cool NA drift car I'll swap in a sti 6 speed to my 3.0r outback and remove the forward gears, 240hp revs to 7k and is so clean
With out a doubt yes
Carbon fibre in the headlight 💀
It opens
That weight distribution gotta be perfect brother

All corollas of the years between 1983-1987 in the USA have ae86 on the chassis. But the vin is different because of the different car identification systems. But they all have the Ae86 chassis if rwd, even the sedans.
In Japan, the ae86 is for truenos and levins with the 130hp (1.6 16v tvis engine)
In the North America, this engine is the same but less powered because of the différent efi system.
That's why toyota called it ae88 on the vin number.
It's the american ae86 in fact but just for american market.
if it was real ae86 then yes worth the 30k, newer cars never feel as fun as this
Ae86 trueno and great car for drifting
86, popping headlights
Wow I'm impressed as an 86owner and driver over 20years it's Aqaba not everybody can drive or is suited to.
This is because of its short wheel base.
And the reason that became the Togay specialist. Not the track King 👌
Take my money 😂😂😂😂😂
There are no USDM ae85s, the USDM equivalent is the Corolla SR5 which has the SOHC 4AC but still has the AE86 chassis stamp
And the USDM GTS was AE88, wasn't it?
@@musewolfman indeed
I would definitely pay 30k for one, I love the AE86 Trueno
I love how he says WatanaBees
Im not like against on the way he says it because we all say it different
Is just very a lil funny how he said it
30 grand? I'd spend my ehole life savings on that😍
As long as Real JDM!
Even tho it's quite bad (My opinion) But... It's just iconic and I lof drifting
30 grand?? Are you kidding? For a car from the 80s??? HELL YEAH I LOVE THE TRUENO
86 lights
I have a question: in which country were the ae86 distributed with the steering wheel on the left and that type of retractable lights?
Japan and most if not all European countries i think
@@imnotfujiwaranever see one in europe, I don't belive they were ever imported in this configuratuon to europe
@@Jackal9405 I'm an idiot lol, they are now sometimes but they weren't during production
Mannnnnnnnnnn I love Sprinter’s
Bro, if an AE86 were 30k in my country I would have absolutely buy it.
But it's like 60k in my country, double the price.
$30k is a bit much for sight unseen. Though, I never imagined a Integra Type-R would go for $100k
It’s not worth it for either car… They’re great but what made them great wasn’t just their performance it was their performance in comparison to their price, the equation doesn’t work when these cost the same as a used 911 that hasn’t been crashed into a wall 6 six times while drifting…
You both are so ignorant. You can't find Cars like this, a "used porsche" is a dime a dozen. It's not about performance you idiot. It's about rarity, hence supply and demand. There are a million porches, there are less than 1000 of these cars
@@griffins750 the ae86 still look better than new Porsche !
@@puebespuebes8589 First of all looks are subjective, second of all if looks are the primary reason you're buying a car then you have a fundamental misunderstanding as to why these cars became popular in the first place (and I'm not just talking about initial D).
@@puebespuebes8589 @puebespuebes8589 For the record I'm not trying to bash you or anything if you like the car because of the way it looks thats cool, but there is more to a car than just its looks and its 0-60 time, things that you can't fully understand unless you experience them first hand or see someone expereience it first hand and have them describe it to you, that being the actually driving exerience of a car, where everything from suspension to chassis to build quality. The engine, the transmission, the shifter, as well as visibility. All of these thing play a role in making a car what it, and in making a particular car's driving experience more or less enjoyable than another car, and yes looks are part of that, but just a part, nothing more nothing less... In my initial comment I didn't mention this because to be frank, most people don't care. They're so obsessed with 0-60s, JDM vs not JDM, what looks good vs what doesn't, that they fail to see the bigger picture, all of these can a small impact on what driving a car feels like, but its just that, small, only a piece of a greater whole. People become so obsessed with what *they* think is important that they fail to see the bigger picture...
As much as they’re iconic I wouldn’t spend $30,000 on a new Corolla letalone a 100hp 80s Corolla I’d much rather an rx7 from the same era
This makes me want to post videos of my 86
I am maybe a mustang fan but as an Initial D fan I would buy that exact 86
Is that the one they usually have sitting in front of the fujiwara tofu shop in el monte?
I think this one might be Vincent’s 86 from Fujiwara Tofu Cafe in SoCal

I remember the meaning of the Japanese words mean "Something in Japanese " and it was fitted with the BEAMS engine
For that we need to see the bottom of it, if you understand what I mean.

AE86❤❤ MY DREAM CARR
i remember watching "option" video in the early 2000s where a guy was building a initial d clone and i remember people on the episode giving the guy mad trash talk for spending so much on the platform and pretty much being made fun of.. man were they wrong.
No way the actual car plate used in initial D😮
Ima slap those watanabes on the devil a then I’m cooking every character in initial d
That xar is built better than the new cars and looks better
LEFT HAND DRIVE 86 FOR 30K IS AN AMAZING DEAL WTFF
yes, if i did.
本物の頭文字D AE86だったとは知りませんでした
Takumi Fujiwara:wtf?
Id use the money for a gr86 tbh
MY HACHI ROKU TURNED INTO AN 85
The avg cost is about 50 k so it's a steal for 30 k
ABSOLUTELY
My car in the future be like
Only if the owner switches the tofu decal to the driver side since it's a left hand drive!
When these brand new sold for 14k now sell for sometimes over 20k. No i wouldnt.
It is neither. This my friend is a Corolla gts, the American version of the original ae86. Apparently this car should be modified
It’s an AE85 actually, which the (hachi Roku (Toyota apex) has the same body features but the only difference is the Hachi Roku have SOHC engine and the AE85 have SOHC engine
And it’s still possible to find a Hachi Roku ( Toyota apex trueno) but because our trashy system in our roads in US (and I say trashy because it sucks not being able to drive a Hachi Roku in America and that will be considered illegal)
I would trade my soul for it 🤩
you didn’t even show the wheelbase when you were comparing it with the lexus lol. wheelbase is the distance between the front and back wheels/axles
damn fr? had no idea.
Brother I'm at least 15k deep into a 240sx and its just now getting close to be ready for a swap.
Of course
Its a trueno meaning its mostlikely a 86
Even the license plate has the same number just like in the anime.
Anime car❌
Drift king✅
I would sell my kidney for that car😅
take my money
Lol it says “Fujiwara Tofu Tea Shop”
In my country they have toufa shop also
Good looking Corolla GTS
It’s a swapped SR5.
corolla gts is different, that's a trueno sprinter gt-apex
Corolla sr5
$30k? That's cheap for ae86 in my opinion. Ae86 can cost up to $60k here, maybe because the tax and all those things and ironically the salary here are much lower than the salary there
I can hear it dun dun dun dun dun duh duh dee doo doo da
(Rage yo dream)
i love the ae86 and i would really love to have one but 30k is a bit overpriced, still would take it if i had the chance
Yeah alex, I think my previous comment on how I spent 3.6k on a part was a good indicator of my answer
I think it's AE86, bc 85 doesn't have left hand drive
Take my money
If i had the money id say shut up and take my money
*WITH SUPRA CELICA WHEELS.*
The way i identify an 86 or an 85 is the headlights
Oh look like this 🤔 Gas gas gas gas Gas gas gas gas Gas gas gas gas
30k on an AE86, hmmmmmm.
I was originally planning on buying for 50k so absolutely
30 grand??!!!
