I can talk through them as I play these bit by bit.
I see so many people complaining about high elves being weak in multiplayer, long before launch. However, so far every battle I've seen them lose in has been poor army composition and bad micro/ strategy. I don't believe they are the best faction by any means, but in the right hands they can certainly hold their own. It seems that because they're not an easy faction to use, people instantly assume they're bad.
JarrenDrahn people were saying the same thing about Chaos from game 1 after they got aspiring champions but they were still very much due for buffs. The problem with the high elves is that their inability to fire whilst moving like the wood elves trivializes their skirmishing capability against factions that have an easy time swarming, their race trait martial prowess doesn't make a very significant impact since having it makes them slightly better than average, and losing it makes them worse than average (statline). This is especially important because getting charged usually makes them lose it.
IMO martial prowess should scale with fatigue, not health, then high elves would be doing just fine

And nothing I have seen justifies tge useless fanboyism over Lothern Sea Guard. HE NEED a cheap anti armor option. Because DE can counter Stegs fairly easily with Darkshards.
Ethan Shin They don't need fire while moving, you just need to ensure your infantry to skirmisher ratio is correct so you can defend them. That goes for any faction not just HE. I've noticed a lot of people take too many skirmshers or a small elite army, which you obviously can't defend.
As for martial prowess, if you lose 50% hp in the first charge you're doing something wrong. Braced spears only take about 10% damage against even heavy cavalry. Your elite units like swordmasters should not be taking the charge in the first place.
Anirban Bhattacharya I get what you mean. Archers can target down armoured monsters, it just takes longer. The repeater bolt thrower on single shot deals better damage than people think.
As for infantry, white lions trade well for their price and can do significant damage to armoured monsters. For a higher price phoenix guard destroy monsters.
If all else fails, there are always dragons and phoenixes with ap. Don't scoff at nobles either, they have ap, bonus vs large and charge defence.
+JarrenDrahn I think high elves need to use their magic well. Stuff like the nets can help contain monsters. Also high elves have tons of Dragon options

Im almost positive we'll see slamanders, and likely razordons as well, come with whatever the lizardman dlc pack is. Btw, you dont need the apostrophes there. Apostrophes are for indicating possession, not plurality.

Heir, it's pronounced s-OAR-us. Ya know, like dinosaur, as in 'lizard'. And hey, you pointed out the canonical connection between skinks and kroxigors right away. It's an image, and tabletop rule, I've always loved; a unit of skinks falling back towards a swampy pool, seemingly unable to stand against their attacks. And then just as the foe is sure they've got the little guys trapped, the water explodes as kroxigors charge straight through the unit of skinks to smash into their foes.

Stegadon shoots long range balista. Ancient Stegadon shoots many projectile of poison darts, and can fire while moving.

I've used some lizardmen artys too, those in campaign are crazy - the solar engine does immense dmg, and the ancient stegadon/stegadon have good range and great accuracy.

I played a battle earlier with Kroq-Gar and two scar vets all on Carnosaurs as a goon squad. They just mow through everything. They went up against a High elves

Carnosaurs don't fuck around, they shit on everything. Figuratively and literally, I imagine

The Saurus warriors have 17 Armor Piercing, that's not bad. Vs armored units, they wont win, but they will definitely hurt them.

I've been a tad underwhelmed when it comes to the variety of their units. Though they have a bunch of potential for regiments of renown in the future, so I'm content to wait and see.
Somehow when I saw that chariot in combat, I thought for a second they were on quad bikes.
Saurus warriors actually have lot of armorpiercing for non-dedicated armorpiercing unit, like 20 or so. So I wouldn't say they dont have armorpiercing :)

Nice battle and good talk. I personally see Saurus Warriors as a basic tier 2 infantry. Try to match them with any higher or special infantry and I think they will loose. So little disappointed they don't have more higher/better infantry. However I guess that's why they have those anti infantry monsters.

Cool battle and very nice break down of the Dinos. I'm curious about how you think the Lizardmen should match up against the skaven. I've seen a couple of battles and the combination of good long range artillery and masses of cheap infantry seemed to give the Lizardmen a hard time since they could simply envelope the entire Linzardman army.
I'm already waiting for Mortal Empires and the mega campaign. Hope there will be Chaos Factions with daemons.

lizard men are op as balls, they clearly need Nerfed, Saurus warriors are just broken they can slaughter chaos warriors like they where nothing.
i always take carnosaurs. they murder. i use them the same way you roll with double gorebull but less for heroes and more for monsters.
could you talk about their artillery and cavalry? i won a lot of cavalry engagements with the cold ones. they are dirt cheap for cavalry and i have yet to lose an equal cavalry engagement with them
i wonder how the cold ones will stack up to boar boy big un's and knights of the realm

I think he brought that many Seaguard because they are stupid good in campaign. You can win on hard difficulty using 95% Seaguard.
That's an interesting notion.
I always thought people preferred spamming Spearmen/archers instead of Seaguards.
In multiplayer that is probably a better move, because you have a limited amount of money.
In the Single player though, you can generally rely on the fact that the AI is rarely going to be smart enough to really threaten your archers.
Not to mention when besieging factions, which happens a lot, having dedicated melee units is really useful.
You just auto-resolve those. For some reason the auto-resolve really favours archers and artillery, so you pretty much can't lose.
In Warhammer 1 an army of goblin rock lobbers actually does quite well.

Im very interested to see if the solar engine bastiladon is as great as it sounds (a luminark mounted on a ankylosaurus) or if its just weak artillery combined with a monster that cant compete with pure versions of the two.
Obviously this doesn't mean so much in multiplayer, but in campaign at least it's a brick shithouse. Mazdamundi starts with one in his initial army and it poops all over most everything else in the early game. Does pretty good artillery damage to blobs of units, causes the "blinded" debuff (which reduces missile accuracy and melee defense, if I recall correctly), and you can just storm it into the front lines of an enemy army like a battering ram when your troops get engaged if you're afraid of friendly fire... but all that could be irrelevant if it's not cost-effective in MP, and I haven't played any MP yet...

No, they aren't.
High armor main infantry, only ranged units they have are skirmishers, large selection of monsters. Skink -> marauder the skirmisher line is even in this tier and then theres saurus->chaos warrior and kroxigor-> champions. In contrast, the greenskins have fast cavalry, better artillery, real ranged units, lightly armored main infantry and only 3 monsters to choose from.

The Feral Bastiladon costs only 700? That doesn't seem cheesy at all
Yeah it seems to be a potantial problem in MP. It doesn't do that much damge but it doesn't need to. It's basicall a walking terror debuff that keeps quite a few of ypour opponent forces occupied and it's very hard to get rid off. If you play against Lizards you are basically forced to include counters for a 700 unit. At lower cost battles this is problematic.
Moritz Asbrand Tbh most of the big dinosaur units seem to be way too cheap for how strong they are in terms of damage & hitpoints. The only effective way for dealing with bastiladon, stegadon et al. seems to be focused armor-piercing missile damage. Even high-quality anti-large infantry (Phoenix guard, black guard of Naggarond) aren't very useful, they will trade effectively in a 1v1 scenario BUT they are slow & will take way too long to bring the dino down (and cost way too much), so it's really easy for the lizardman player to avoid them with a bit of half decent micro, or tie them down with infantry.
Horned ones can actually win against Dragon Princes

They give you ranged options that can also be used in melee, but cost more since they double as an artillery platform. I will try to show them all over the coming videos

What kind of computer do I need to run this on ultra or high settings
For the CPU and RAM, I'm running it on an FX-8350 and 8GB is probably sufficient although I have more. For the graphics card I have a Radeon 480. That gets me responsive gameplay at around 35fps with a few of the graphics settings lowered and anti-aliasing set to 4x rather than 8x. I game on a 2560x1440 screen. Plenty enjoyable and somewhere between High and Ultra. If you want actual Ultra, you'll need a better card or drop down to a 1080 screen. And if you want Ultra with good frame rates (e.g. 60fps or more), you'll need something significantly better than what I have. Sorry that I can't provide more information but I hope that helps you get a ballpark.

What does everyone think about the current state of Dark Elves?
I really hate that Darkshards are so OP. It promotes a defensive style that is not what DE are all about in lore and tabletop. Dark Elves are supposed to be aggressive glass cannons. I like having different options for tactics but Darkshards with shields are so unbelievably overpowered while their melee infantry are not particularly good. So all you have to do is put some dreadspears up in front of some Darkshards with shields and you're golden. Also Dark Elf cavalry sucks. Dark riders aren't worth it and the only good one is the cold one knights.
Basically my opinion is that the current state of Dark Elves is that it promotes a style of play that is more like the Dwarfs. Like I said DE are meant to be very fast, very aggressive glass cannon. Not an army that sits back and uses their op as fuck archers to slaughter the enemy.
Their non spear infantry needs to be seriously buffed or at least give us Black Arc Corsairs with shields as an option.

High elf units are some of the weirdest units I have ever seen. Lothern Sea guard are really garbage, all of the HE archers don't have armor piercing, Dragon Princes don't have armor piercing or anti-large, Tyrion is (in my opinion) quite possibly the worst legendary lord yet.
I have a distinct feeling that the HIgh elves are going to get some unit packs coming soon with Sisters of Avelorn, Shadow warriors, Lion chariots, and maybe a non-garbage legendary melee lord that can mount a flying mount (Imric of Caledor).
TheShinyMetapod Tyrion Avatar if Khaine is the only true powerful version of him I agree. But then you get Eternity King lulz. Tyrion tho really shines in a militia army. Strictly campaign wise he is very good. But mp? Leave him at home. And you're right. The Everqueen is a must and I feel every race pack will be adding tat least two to three LLs for each race- Hellebron, Darkblade, Everqueen, Alith Anar, Imrik, Gor-Rok, Tehenhuain, Skyre AND Eshin/Moulder with Stormfiends and Jezzails

+TheShinyMetapod Sea Guard are beast in campaign...questionable at best in multiplayer. They do have eagle claw bolt throwers that pierce armor and are good vs monsters and infantry. Don't underestimate drain princes. Their attack, charge, and defense is absurd. They blasted through horned ones in my test.
Agree overall though. High Elves may be the minnow right now. Though their dragons can be good too.
On foot, Tyrion beat all the other lords in game, including Kroc Gar and Malekith. Problem is that while they get dinosaurs and dragons, Tyrion gets a horse. And he dont have armor piercing so he takes a while to chew though armor.
On Tabletop Tyrion had mental stats. He hit as hard as a star dragon and was faster than anyone else. and considering how armor piercing on TT was directly tied to how hard you hit, he should have armor piercing in this game.
Well the problem with Dragon Princes is that they're literally just Chaos Knights with Lances but with physical resist and fire resist. No one uses Chaos knights because cav that don't have AP and/or anti-large are really freaking worthless.
Look a Warhammer 1:
Blood knights, Demihalberds, Grail knights, Royal Pegasus Knights (flying, but still shock cav), Orc Boar boy big uns. People brought these ALL the time because they could either dish out reliable damage to either cav (anti-large) or armored infantry (armor piercing). Having neither cripples your cavalry options.

High elves are good, they're not like patch 1 chaos level terrible. They can hang with the other factions, but they are definitely the weakest and hardest to use.

The high elves are good, they just need more units. I was baffled when I saw most of their roster is fucking dragons and Phoenix rather than a variety of archers and foot soldiers
Lothern Sea Guard seems rather overrated. I mean, I can totally see the value of a skirmish unit that can fight in melee when the need arises, but it has too few unit models to fully replace spearmen, and less range than archers while costing twice as much as either unit. Really don't see why people keep bringing them.

They are okay to cover the end of a line of archers, but the price isn't always worth it.
High elves stand no chance against lizard men unless the lizard player sucks, they're OP as hell.
I think it's probably still too early to say for sure whether or not any faction is OP, players are still working out the appropriate compositions and strategies and the meta hasn't yet fallen into place, but between the Lizardmen and the High Elves, I'd say the advantage is solidly in favor of the Lizardmen, since the elves rely heavily on their long-range skirmishers, and most of the best Lizardman units are fast, armored, and have missile resistance... so as a faction, they seem to be the "rock" to High Elves' "scissors"
