@@aboynamedjamil fair enough😂 what do you mean? Any big cons? My biggest now is just the fact that the 20mm lens is a tough focal length for taking photos (I want something pocket size I can always carry around and take photos with to bring the joy back to photography)
I didn't really use it for photos. I was really looking for something pocketable to vlog with when I'm out shooting photos. The camera that I find the most joy shooting with is the A7C paired with the 35mm 2.8 from Samyang. The biggest con for me was that the autofocus didn't deliver like I know Sony to be. Also it was a little TOO dumbed down to be enjoyable for me.
Thank you so much making a video on this, Im a new creator and felt like i wasted my money on this camera because the focus was so off compared to my filming on my iphone.
Thanks for the video. I have a Canon T2i and a 50mm lens F1.8 and I'm searching a more modern camera to shoot my videos. When I set my Canon to F2.0 I have a really cool bokeh effect, a great blurred background. I don't see it in any SV1F videos on RUclips, even with it set to F2.0. I'm not a video guy. Why this happen? Thank you
Good video. Its this model camera good for starting a cooking channel ? The other models you mentioned are better that`s why they cost several hundred dollars more. This one looks like a good starter.
@@aboynamedjamil oh ok. Why would an iPhone be better to use than the ZV1-F for cooking ? Do they also have the defocus option as well ,? Also which model iphone ? 0
My problen is HOW TO KEEP THE BACKGROUND IN FOCUS while I'm moving about. I don't have to stay in focus-I'm making painting demos, and I need the focus to stay on the painting, NOT on my hand. Can you help? I have a Sony ZV1.
Hey. A couple ideas come to mind: 1. Turn off the eye autofocus 2. The camera might be set to prioritize face. Switch that off also. 3. Lastly, use the touch feature to focus on the background. Once the background is in focus, switch the camera to manual focus. The camera won't change focus at all then. Hope this helps.
I'm having an issue where the right side of the screen is out of focus. It doesn't matter if I set it to Auto Focus or manual focus; center or wide focus; only the very right side of the image is slightly blurry and out of focus. I have no idea how to fix this. Any suggestions?
If anybody could give me some advice. I’m thinking of buying this camera for my son and he’s going to use it to film his college basketball games. we were using an older Sony and the auto focus cannot keep up with all of the focal points in a basketball game at all. So it was recommended that we shoot and manual and lock the manual focus. So my question is, can we go to manual focus to manually set the focus on an image, and then lock it so we have a standard focus image in 4K video? Is there a way to lock it? Or, do we just leave it in manual and it just stays locked in general because it’s manual? My other question is if we shoot in 4K video with this camera is there a time limit for the Clips? This older Sony we are using keeps the clips at 12 minutes. Is there a time limit in the 4K clips for ZV1? Thank you so much to whomever can help me with these two questions.
This is not a good camera for the needs that you described. The sensor is too small and it will never be able to keep up focus on college basketball. Hope this helps.
Bummer. This was not my issue. It was toggled on. I'm making videos and it's going blurry every 20 to 30 seconds briefly. Really feels unprofessional with me making RUclips's about movies.
The other solution that I've been giving to others, especially if you're using it on a tripod, is just to set your focus and switch to manual focus if you don't plan to move about too much.
@@aboynamedjamil I suppose I'll do that until I sell the camera and get one that doesn't mess around like this. Do you have any suggestions for one in the $500 range?
The problem is the small sensor and I think that any camera in that price range is gonna have a sensor that small. So there is really nothing that I would recommend.
@@aboynamedjamil okay thank you. What's your favorite camera in the more expensive range? Although I will say that I didn't have this problem with my Canon in the same price range. But it had an inability to have external sound plugged in.
when i try to turn subject recognition in af on, it says 'This operation or setting not available as follows product SC set" and turning it on is disabled for some reason, do you know how to fix this? (i film in 4k)
Had the same problem. Go to the shooting tab in settings, scroll down to shooting option, and then turn product sc off. That allows you to turn on subject recognition.
I was struggling to get my ZV-1F to focus. This was a game changer! Thank you so much for making this video!
Thank you! I was about to throw the camera away.😆
me too lol
THANK YOU!!! I use mine as a second camera. Had some video I couldn't use and was beginning to think I couldn't trust the focus on my camera. Fixed!!
Oh good! I'm so glad this is helping people out. ✌🏾
Thank you! I was very frustrated as to why it was not focused correctly. Much appreciated!

@notyouraveragegijoe I realized very quickly that it didn't do anything for me that I couldn't do on my mobile. So I gave it away. 😊🤷🏾♂️
