This is what's missing from modern Hollywood. Actors and producers with a genuine passion for the project. This season could fall flat on its face and the fans will still love it because of the shear joy radiating from this team.

Ive never seen actors or a fandom that are just genuinely happy and supports their main franchise as One Piece. Cant blame them, this series inspires people, very diverse, has one of the greatest worldbuilding and mastered the art of foreshadowing.
Those people are enjoying this bro because it is a one piece anime, it reduces the stress of everyone

Hey Netflix, I am a 62yr old grandmother and I loved this show, I knew nothing about, went in blind and can’t wait for season 2. Also, my 27yr old son has watched every episode of the anime (it’s his favorite) and even he was blown away with it and the amazing work you did on this. The set pieces were beautiful and vibrant, please don’t mess it up 😂

I think it's so crazy even grannies and grandpas can also enjoy this show. One Piece live action is something special.
Let's be honest, from here on now, the production level for upcoming arcs will be harder and harder. But hope the show keeps on its success. One Piece is real.

@@DinoCam1795Nah they’re probably just gonna make a snowy set inside a huge warehouse, it’s too expensive and cumbersome to just fly everyone to a different country again. And for chopper they’re likely gonna mixed CGI, Puppeteering and prosthetics. Not sure how they’re gonna do Chopper’s brain point/hybrid form.
@@polpogiorno1115 ? Flying everyone to another country costs them nothing in the grand total. They spent 130 million on season 1. Them spending a few hundred grand to fly everyone over for an episode is not their main concern in any way.

These cast members are just so fun to watch whether I’m watching the actual show behind the scenes or the interview and games Netflix posts on RUclips I enjoy all of it. They all just seem like a happy family and I’m here for that reason

I’ve never seen the manga series but this Netflix show was definitely a highlight for me. I loved the character chemistry and I loved how Monkey would get overly excited about things. Iconic.
Monkey is his last name and Luffy is his first name (Thats how they do it in Japan). Just saying this because there are some sensitive people out there that will attack you just because you got the name-calling wrong😅😅😅

Truly. I had no interest in OP before this show. I had given the anime a shot years ago but I always assumed it wasn't going to be something I liked. Then i watched the Netflix adaptation and immediately fell in love with it, and I've seen 500 episodes of the anime in the span of 3 months
@@hannahw7023 you completed Half Piece lol. Just beware that the pacing after 500+ will get slower due to the anime catching up on the manga. But trust me that the story's magnitude gets wider and better

Coming from all over to reunite the Straw Hat crew. It's a little early for post time skip Sabaody vibes, but I'm here for. These five have broken the curse of live action anime, have been sung the praises of the Japanese voice cast and Oda himself, and made our favorite pirates their own character without losing one bit of the character Oda created. I love their passion and commitment they gave in season 1, so I have no doubt they will bring some of the best moments of the early Grand Line some true justice. Can't wait to meet Laboon, Vivi, Chopper, and Robin this season.

I think what really had it feeling right is Oda said he'd only let them do the show if he could have fin ssy on some decisions. You need the creator there to say "absolutely not" when something completely off brand tries to be done

It is amazing how the live action has captured the magic from the anime but it is shinning its own light. The spirit of One Piece is untouched and fans can see and feel it. That's what makes a live action successful. People that love the source material and are able to adapt the energy from the anime to a different medium.

Really got me into and invested in learning more about the One Piece franchise
I just love the adventure and family aspect of Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirate Crew
And Season 2 is going to take it up a notch!
So many fan favorite characters & one of the best villains in the series will be showing up next season.
I really hope they start working on season 3 as soon as they start the final filming for season 2 and do not wait until season 2 has been released. I know it'll be a lot of crunch for EVERYONE involved, including Oda, but we NEED to get this project being completed before some of the actors change too much (visually and mentally) or "leave" us for good.

Honestly, when I heard that season 1 was coming out, I didn't think it would be a success. However, the live-action series was much better than expected and the actors were fantastic. The acting and chemistry of the actors who seemed to be sticking out of the original cartoon were great, and I can't imagine any other than these actors, "The Straw Hat Pirates." I'm so happy that of them are back in season 2. I can't wait for their second adventure!! Let's go to the grand line!!!

I agree. We probably gonna have more episodes with a bigger budget. Most of the issues will be solved in S2. I predict people will love Choppers adaptation and popularity on Netflix will skyrocket. A week after release Netflix will confirm S3 - S6 will be in start production a month later.
