The intricate design work inside the sound hole is from the centuries old European "Baroque Guitar" (c. 1600-1750). Google that for images. The "sharp angle" of the head stock looks quite similar to the centuries old, European "Lute".
When you're not only disinterested in doing anything to benefit the world, but you also want to waste a heap of time and perfectly good materials on top of it ...
That is in your head. Not mine. Not to like it is ok. But to bash the Mans integrity because you don't like it? Please don't hurt your dogs. Or your child.
Well, that went south quickly... I see Hamer, and I'm thinking: this is gonna be- Holey Sh*t, what's going on with that headstock? What's worse, it didn't sound very good, either.
Ritchie Blackmore will want one! lol. I want one! Sounds Fabulous! Make one with a Fender or flat headstock. I think most would want a flat headstock but longer to keep the string length. It will fit in a regular case! Just a bit longer.
The screws of the rosette are indeed ridiculous! Everything else is so artsy-fartsy high end, the rosette´s design is absolutely beautiful and then those four cheap cross-head screws, you only use for hoardings and other shit, two of them with washers, the others without. Mr. Hamer, maybe you need a new of those toffee-nosed horn-rimmed glasses, because you must clearly have overlooked this bloodcurdling faux pas. Jesus Christ, 400 y/o sitka spruce in a DIY-store look...
I'm afraid that applying that much string binding force at the nut will result in terrible pitch stability if a player decides to bend too many notes. I noticed he bent exactly "none". Also, why piss away 400 yr old wood by milling most of it into sawdust to create those contours. what exactly is the difference between that and using actual ivory for the fretboard. I guess if you can't diss the environment one way you do it another. I'm surprised he didn't use baby teeth for the bridge saddles.
This is nonsense. How will anyone be able to judge the sound of this guitar with all that gain? Distortion makes them all sound alike, which should be lesson number one. The guitar looks rather ridiculous, and it is being demonstrated by yet another person with no skill.
Expensive waste of wood. Wtf were they thinking? Disgusting hole. The head makes it not fit normal cases. Just wtf! This is what happens when you are rich and want to make a new product but don't have an inspired vision based on anything but being different. No thought into making an overall good guitar. The Rick neilson name dropping was annoying. Ohh octave chords...so original.. Hendrix never used those in every song he played...
I get that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but using wood from a 400 year old tree to build this highly experimental, single pickup nonsense is a waste. Every "unique feature" on this is purely masturbatory.
vihuela is the name you're looking for
never thought i get to see a design as this ... wawwwwwwwwww
One of the best things i've heard from HGGS
P.S. I didn´t want to lose a word about that "Hendrix cover" because it left me speechless...
That was a History lesson in Rock&Roll, And just an amazing video.Thanh You!!!!

Shawn might be thinking Hauser
Genuinely high end guitar. Love to use that rosette as an ashtray!
"How do you make that out of leather?"
"You work it just like leather, you know?"
Narrator: in fact he did not know
I can’t believe that the rose assembly is screwed in with Robertson screws! Totally ironic!

People say that the Gibson headstock angle is too steep, must be tuning issues with it

The only thing I think is missing is a pieszo pickup since it kinda looks like an acoustic

Man I gotta get a friedman everytime I hear one I get wide eyed
My next guitar will be a Telecaster

I think you were referring to a Hoyer guitar - they made scalloped tops for their jazz guitars
turn off the drive please...very massive!!!!!!!!

Amazing guitar, but the screws on the rosette!!😕
@Silver Back it's like he couldn't find better ones, so he used leftovers....
