It's really really inspiring content. Thank you, Val. Now I have a technique to teach writing to my students. They will be like this technique. Thank you
I have always wanted to improve teaching writing. Many thanks for inspiring me. Certainly my students will love the five finger writing. It looks like a game.
Thank you to the greatest teacher who explain this topic in such an easy way! You give lectures indeed! Please dont worry about you missed "the"!!!!! Take care!
I love this concept! I would start the Hamburger with the bread on the bottom; then add the meat and cheese; then the condiments; followed by the toppings i.e. lettuce, pickles and tomatoes, finally topped with a delicious sesame seed top bun. 😊 And from that image, I would have my child write paragraphs written like that, a 5 finger “deluxe”hamburger. The concept is fantastic! I even have my grandson writing me a paragraph on making me a hamburger sandwich !❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Val. Great exercise, but I'd change the positions in a hamburger: as we make a real hamburger and start from the bottom and then the last thing is the top, then it's better I think! Thank you so much for your videos! You are a great teacher!👍👍👍👍👍❤
I love every one of your videos! I'm a new teacher and your lessons, tips and recommendations have help me a lot. Thanks, you're an excellent teacher and an inspiration! I'm looking forward to be at least a little that good.
OMG, thank you so much for this comment, Yeveria! I am so happy my videos help!! Teaching is never easy. I know it like no one else. You may feel frustrated, lost, challenged, and judged at times but it is the most rewarding experience in the world because you are sharing what you know and lighting the way for future generations. Students learn more from who you are than from what you teach, so you are affecting many lives. Keep going, dear Yeveria!
@@Teacher-Val Thanks for your reply, teacher Val. Yes, these first days teaching have been very challenging. I had no idea of how to teach the children. But thinks to your videos I'm doing it now, and students seem to enjoy a lot the lessons. Thanks again. And keep up the good work. :)
@@Teacher-Val I'm teaching third grade. But this is the first time they learn English at school. In my country they start taking English in 3rd grade, which I think is wrong, but there's nothing we can do. The other problem is we are given a curriculum and we have to teach topics and contents too advanced for their level of English. And I only have one lesson each week. There's so much to teach them and so little time. They don't have much time to practice. It's frustrating if I think too much about all the obstacles. But I just try to include in every lesson the basics they need to learn first, like phonics, colors, etc. I had many ideas watching your videos. Thanks teacher, Val!
@@Teacher-Val I'm also teaching 8th graders, and tomorrow I'll have a practice lesson and I was looking for a fun way to make the students practice, and I just saw your Kaboom Game, it's perfect! Thank you, teacher 😀!
@@Teacher-Val the question was, (how to teach writing)?!! Tried to know what exactly in the writing skill , by asking what part of writing essays, paragraphs , or emails ...... She repeated the question again 😭😂

hello teacher Val, I'm so inspired by your work! is there by any chance a course that you offer? or an email I can contact you through. Much appreciated.
Hello Nour! You can write me at valerijusc@hotmail.com. My email address is on my channel's home page. Click the "about" tab and scroll down to the button that says “view email address”.
Teach phonics. Introduce letters and sounds, then teach them two-letter combinations like "ch", "sh", "oo," etc. After that, you can teach them to blend different sounds in a word together.

Yes, students in China are EFL learners. There is a common confusion between TESOL, CELTA, TEFL, and TESL. TESOL means Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from a North American perspective. CELTA means Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults developed by Cambridge University. Teaching methods are based on a British perspective. TEFL means Teaching English as a Foreign Language (or teaching English in a non-native English speaking country, e.g., teaching English in China to Chinese speakers). TESL means Teaching English as a Second Language (or teaching English in a native English speaking country, e.g., teaching English in the US to Spanish speakers)

No, not really. Sorry!
So i have to write fisrt and then they'll have to copy that?
Yes, you can ask your students to copy your example because they can use it as a template in the future.
I'm new at teaching (like really new). Can i ask question? From what age we should use this method?
It's not the age but the proficiency level that matters. I would recommend starting paragraph writing at the A2 level (CEFR).
Excellent !

No, it's not. A paragraph consists of a few sentences that express the same thought or idea. A composition is made up of a few paragraphs.
