BJJ Turtle Master vs Seven Opponents - Unbeliavable!

  • Опубликовано: 24 апр 2023
  • BJJ Turtle Specialist Raould Audhoe, brown belt under Priit Mihkelson put to the test something he had been perfecting for a long time, namely: to submit every opponent in a BJJ tournament without losing a single point - FROM THE TURTLE!
"Yes, I know it's unconventional because the Turtle position is typically seen as very defensive. But that's precisely why nobody expected it to be so lethal!
Wanna learn how to master the turtle like Raoul? Visit www.grapplinginstructionals.com for more info! www.grapplinginstructionals.c...
I want to make it clear that I'm sharing this not to brag, but to show you that the Turtle in BJJ is a a highly effective guard that will keep you safe and dangerous while people are trying to take your back! But don't just take my word for it - watch this video to see for yourself what it looks like to play a modern BJJ turtle.
As you could see, I TURNED my back inviting my opponents to engage (I did not GIVE away my back) At first they become surprised, thinking that this will be an easy one. However, as time passes and the confusion due to not being able to establish any hooks, score any points or attempt any chokes keeps increasing, they will OVERCOMPENSATE! Yes, the unfamiliarity of playing top BJJ Turtle against someone who is a specialist in using dynamic movements from Turtle can be overwhelming, so much so that they completely forget about their own vulnerabilities ending in their demise. This is NOT a coincidence - It's reality!"

The norm is everyone wants to dominate, smash and submit and win right. But when you have people doing things differently like this people start to get irritated or frustrated because they never think the unexpected. This defensive bjj style indeed works, it’s not perfect but it works. You’re shutting down a lot of attempts like attacks, passes ect. It’s a game of ultimate patience and timing. Instead of falling into the opponent’s game you easily make them fall into your game. Now obviously in competition it’s different and it requires a lot of game planning and training and time to test it in the competition scene vs in class training and rolling. But I love this style of BJJ because if you can’t beat em, make em work for it😆. Why rush for things when you can make the rush come to you with ease. It’s a psychological game and it works.

That’s awesome, I totally agree with you. You’ve really hit the nail on the head. And it’s exciting to see that this technique is constantly evolving. Not sure if you’ve heard, but Turtle 2.0 was recently released. The creator, known for submitting numerous opponents, has shifted to a much more aggressive, offensive stance. He’s utilizing the Turtle position to seamlessly transition into double legs, almost like a wrestler. It’s fascinating and definitely amps up the excitement. This isn’t the passive approach of the original Turtle; it’s an offensive Turtle game. If you’re curious, you should definitely check it out on grapplinginstructionals.com. It’s a fresh take on the Turtle strategy. Much more offensive

because people cant wrestle these days. turtle is so simple to breakdown, they arent using head pressure to assist in seperating arms, or hunting unorthodox submissions from here, D'arce all day and when that fails chase the back, then transition to brutish wrestling top open a gap and then back to technical sub attacks. these guys want to win a positional battle when he has already given up such a vulnerable position.
They should just hunt sepration of limbs and the neck, and when those fail, backout reset and apply good pressure to wear him down.
neat system but definitely not effective at a high level.

I'm rather tall, and rarely attack the back when facing a turtle opponent because i slide over the top easily. I usually align directly behind them and wedge my feet in-between their feet, and spread their legs like a chicken wing. They will ALWAYS choose to collapse to a side and i can take top side control or top half and pass from there. Anyone know of any counters to this? or how to stop it? It's been super effective for me and as someone who likes to turtle out of passes, my team mates are aware of this tactic and starting to use it against me as well.

Got a question - this is very interesting to me because I love techniques that most people are not experienced with. Taking a person to a place where you are very experienced , and they are not , is an great strategy . So I want to get good at Pritt’s techniques. My only issue is that I am not nearly as flexible as you, and not good at inverting. My question is - how much flexibility does your transition from turtle to Leglocks take? Is it more of just a forward roll? Or does it take a lot of flexibility ? I am willing to stretch and get more flexible, but that will take several months, and I want to start working on these techniques now. Also, can you show me a link to your instructional ?

      Regarding the “bad gameplan” comment:
Getting mounted is also a “bad gameplan”. Regardless .... sometimes it happens.
      Therefore people train mount defense/escapes.
      See the logic:
Everybody trains offence…. then tries to pull that offence off in competition. Somehow that is ok.
I train a lot of defence (ie: turtle) and wanted prove that I could pull it off in competition.
The only course of action that I had was to pull turtle in comp, to prove that I can indeed pull it off.
