Tesla's stock is stuck in a debilitating downtrend and looks just attractive for a long-term investment once the short-term volatility and smoke settle. Right now i'd appreciate suggestions short-term opportunities that could fetch $50k or less..
Don't be in a hurry to get back in. The market needs several days of strong performance to signal that the downturn might be over; It's a time to be largely, if not entirely, in cash
I’m closing in on retirement, and I have benefitted much from using a financial advisor. I didn’t really start early, so I knew the compound interest of index fund investing would not work for me. Funny how I pulled in over 80% profit than some of my peers who have been investing for many years. Maybe you should consider this too
I've been considering getting one, but haven't been proactive about it. Can you recommend your advisor? I could really use some assistance.
"Kristin Amber Landis" is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment.
I looked up her name online and found her page. I emailed and made an appointment to talk with her. Thanks for the tip
Acquiring a stock is easy, but buying the right stock without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $160K for some time now, but my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
Investors should be cautious about their exposure and be wary of new buys, especially during inflation. Such high yields in this recession are only possible under the supervision of a professional or trusted advisor.
@@abdulhakimmahe1539 Since risk is at an all-time high right now, perhaps you should be a little more patient and return when it has decreased. Alternatively, you can consult a trained financial expert for strategy.
@@MarieSmith-xe8bl I have been considering going the same route, could you share more info please on the advisor that guides you.
@@JosephBrannigan-df3gn The decision on when to pick an Adviser is a very personal one. I take guidance from ‘Victoria Carmen Santaella‘ to meet my growth goals and avoid mistakes, she's well-qualified and her page can be easily found on the net.
@@MarieSmith-xe8bl Thank you for the lead. I searched for her, and I sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
Everyone at this panel being surprised it didn't run down a pedestrian, when we have years of video, in which it has never been dangerous to pedestrians, is mind-blowing.
Well, you have Dan O'Dowd running multiple full page ads about how Teslas will run over pedestrians and until just recently Tesla saying almost nothing except on X posts. It's maybe not totally surprising? The CNBC hosts have to cover 1000's of companies. They are not investigative journalists.
Tesla will probably launch an actual Robotaxi service before these guys even realize FSD works at all.
When? Barron: It's now, now, il's now.
Larry, same here. I have invested Baron fund since 2020 and Ron is the reason I’m long term Tesla investor.
Investing in tesla's future is a no-brainer
I suggest buying the new tesla innovation shares at this point as they are relatively cheap and are sure to yield long-term profits
Herbert is a machine!
@bpo6955
A good one
Yep, a real tool.
Outstanding discussion. Thank you both!
Control media, and their bad attempt at analysis is hard to watch....
Thank you Mr Herbert!
Ron is a great storyteller. It’s hilarious how skeptical the panel is.
😂😂
Hey Larry I'm an old fart Larry too. I was born in 45. I never invested before I started listening to you guys and your group. I am totally penny ante because I have small means but I only invest what I can afford to lose. So far after three months I am a thousand dollars down but wouldn't hesitate to invest more if I had any extra money.
Never too late bro. I’ve been watching this stock for a good 6 years now. It’s down for now but I’m actually happy bcz I want to buy more. I believe firmly 2 years from now we will start to get get rewarded for our faith in the company.
Don't sell your shares
It will yield profits in the long term. You should buy the latest Tesla innovation shares
I like Baron's Partners fund - it is the only way I have found to invest in SpaceX.
How to invest with this fund?
@@EamonnMurphy-cc1dtBPTRX, that is one of Baron’s flagship fund.
I suggest buying the new tesla innovation shares at this point as they are relatively cheap and are sure to yield profits long-term
@@EamonnMurphy-cc1dt The symbol is BPTRX. Available on the usual trading platforms.
I wish Tesla stock will skyrocket as Ron Baron predicts just so Ross Berger will STFU.
Could not agree with you more.
Rosalie Karen Berger?
Double cheese Berger. 🍔
Ok, we know it's Ross Gerber, and while I disagree with Ross, I'm not too hard on him. He recognized Tesla's potential early on, and has made many of his clients rich. But he's still a traditional fund manager, and as such, has fair critiques of Elon: communicate on strategy, advertise, be charming (instead of blunt), be focused (spend less time on X).
That said, Ron Baron is charming, reassuring, and a patient teacher. Ron, not Ross, for the win.
Lost Gerbil
I fully agree Ross is allowed to give feedback. But there is a line when feedback turns into actively bashing a company. Tesla should have better marketing, service and maybe fix the charge port when the battery goes to zero. But these are growing pains. Elon on X, he's not perfect, but I'll give the man a pass, he basically works everyday
All we need to do is wait a year or two.I hope I am still alive, now 89. heavily invested in Tesla.I would like to own a model Y, but I only pay cash. Young people dont understand and are to focused on instant gratification. when you invest in Tesla you are invested in Elon, the most electiic person in our lifetime. Our Leonardo Da Vinci!
Well said. Hope you get your MY soon!
Ron avoided the time frame question because he’s heard plenty of inside guesses and targets. It will be some location at the beginning of next year, if not this year imo
Or because, as Elon has famously demonstrated, predicting the arrival of FSD is a fool's errand ;p
But we can thank Waymo for doing all the legwork for Tesla, because we can now say that it's good enough to be a robotaxi if it's as good as Waymo and I think we can safely say that Tesla is as good as Waymo in the areas Waymo operates in, which means it is good enough to be a robotaxi in, definitely not all, but many cities TODAY. Now, that might be on the condition they have a remote takeover setup, but, if that's necessary, it should be relatively easy for Tesla to accomplish.
Great video. I wish those media baffons would of just shut up and listened to Ron Baron, we might of learned even more.
Terrific show - Ron Baron and Larry Goldberg together - can't be beat!!! Thanks, Herbet!
Let’s hear the good news Herbert and Larry!!!
great idea to show the whole video! great content guys!!
Thanks Herbert!
Excited to watch this!
Herbert, thank you for your relentless energy and insights. As to Larry G... what can one say? He's the best. Great job, as always.
Larry is an excellent guest!!!🎉
I love my 2014 PHEV Ford C-Max Energi, best vehicle I've ever owned; and at 67 I've owned many. A plug-in hybrid can be an excellent way to segue from ICE to BEV. Am planning to buy a model Y latter this year.
Innocence? More like incompetence.
Gerber has gone crazy.
I agree with Ross that having family on the board is a bad idea.
@@michelangelobuonarroti916 I heard that Kimball helps calm Elon down when necessary.
Lost Gerbil
Gerber is starting to act scarier than the dude in the movie "American Psycho"😂
Gerber wanted to be on the board of Tesla but they did not want him, so he has been complaining ever since
Always enjoy what Larry has to say and loved what he said at the end about Ron being the investor Warren wishes he was.. DEAD hahaha! Herbert thank you for this insane week of content, killing it!
Comparing Tesla FSD with waymo and Cruz is an insult to Tesla.
Thanks Larry for having said what most people would avoid, about Warren Buffet, which I feel the exact same way. For if WB was so exceptional, by not having invested in a big way in Tesla, kind of tarnish his image, in view of the fact that he preferred to invest in the Chinese BYD which will never be able to get close to Tesla Extraordinary growth in cutting edge technologies.
Is that an oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, antifreeze, or gas stain? Fan belt or fuel pump, fuel injector or hydraulic line problem? - but I used to be able to understand and fix everything in my car... oooh kay alrighty then. But it takes so long to charge and find a charge station.. you can't summon another car?
Tesla owners charge at home almost all the time. But we also have the Superchargers that charge fairly quickly... quick enough to make it hard to make a bathroom stop and grab some food. I recently drove NC to Maine and back for the eclipse in my Model 3. No problems and it was an easy trip.
They already have approval in Florida, check it out.
I would suggest you look at Ron Baron’s funds’ performance. I just did and a majority of their funds’ 5 & 10 year performance underperformed their relevant index funds and/or the S&P 500. Another data point: Recently-departed long-time exec Drew Baglino just sold $180 million in Tesla stock, making me wonder (as an investor in TSLA) what does he know (or think) that we do not? I suppose he could be starting a new company, but if the upside for the stock is so strong and immediate…?
Phenomenal. 🥂
Ron Baron was the first external investor I dealt with intensively 6 years ago to protect my invested capital while I immersed myself with my entire assets in the Tesla share. I am from Munich Germany
It is frustrating people say they will never buy an EV even though they haven't sat in one.
Just wndering if baron's focused growth was the best way to get a position in spacex? Any thoughts? Thoughts...not financial advice. .lol
❤ Dankie Oom Larry ❤
Herbert, I haven't heard anyone pick up on this yet, but during the earnings call, the section Elon talked about FSD he said the following, and I quote "...in the future, gasoline cars that are not autonomous will be like riding a horse and using a flip phone...".
I wonder if this could mean he is considering allowing a company like Ford to license the tech in their gas cars (obviously not for Ford inclusion in robotaxi but rather for safe individual use and with an agreement to phase out gasoline). Wow, am I the only one that heard this? That would certainly save Fords ass.
All we need to know about Tesla is the motivation mission and application of first principles reiterative reintegration Software, by whatever name it's called it follows functional teaching and learning.
There is only one market where Hybrids might still make sense. The military.
If you can make a hybrid that can be electric for most of the trips in normal operations, but.
It can use multiple fuels, such as veg oil or even bunker and solids such as wax.
And it can have an add on module to gasify wood or coal.
This can potentially de-risk and simplify logistics while being cheaper during normal non war times.
your thinking does have some logic but , with respect, no. a semi tractor trailer carrying a large rollout solar panel can charge anything out in the field unlimited numbers of time for as long as you need to anywhere in the world whenever you want to. furthermore they are working on tiny nuclear reactors that can be stuck in a truck trailer. all of these are much simpler and more direct than creating trains of fuel tankers or creating new technologies for burning wood and whatnot. you are overthinking it.
when you say simplifying logistics your examples are actually complicating it more.
combustion engines require constant maintenance constant lubrication and if they break down somewhere out in the field where does this leave the logistics equation during, say wartime when factories are not running or when highways are bombed out? electric motors are so simple even 100 year old ones still work. please bear these facts in mind.
cheers.
@@deantoth I am not talking about conventional hybrids with tiny batteries.
I also misspoke, by simplifying I mean making it more robust.
The generator included in the hybrid can be a micro turbine or even more advanced tech.
It is a backup not the main power source. The reason you have it is to extend range in unusual circumstances.
Or to allow for scavenging power if things go fubar.
Your solar panel truck or mini nukes can be the main and preferred power source and should be.
The majority of most military fuel budget is during peace time operations. In that case the vehicles will definitely be operated as EV's. The reason why the military has not made the shift is that they need more range and they are wary of the potential vulnerabilities of renewables/nukes.
As for the maintenance. I am not military myself but I suspect that the amount of time they spend on maintaining systems that they hope they will never need is substantial.
Keep in mind my idea is in no way about saving money, although I strongly suspect it will. Its about making a more robust ground transport logistics.
You can also combine it with armor. For tanks you can have wax tanks as secondary armor. Melt it to burn if you run out of juice.
That said, it is just an idea. I am not totally convinced myself. Its just that I have already thought of all your objections and they do not seem to be showstoppers.
"People get entrenched". Yep!

I would not overvalue the share increase after the earnings call. We are just now nearly back to where the shares were in February.

The guy commentator is clueless. Lidar and Radar? I don't have lidar or radar in my head! I drive fine with 2 meat eyes!
Not so sure about that last part; the reason we need robotaxi is that most humans think they drive fine and then cause an accident ;p
not sure if eyes are "meat"

These journalists should go have an FSD test drive.
They'd be dramatic AF.
I think Larry’s last statement regarding Warren Buffett he means Warren didn’t invest in Tesla and not his overall achievement as an investor. Warren was great in value investing but not tech.
If Warren Buffett had invested the same amount in Tesla as BYD when he had the chance he'd be up over $21B, now his car company will have to license FSD from Tesla, because Warren Buffett has an attitude problem, like most Wallstreet types.
I think Ron Baron was the reason that Elon performed so well on the earnings call. He probably taught Elon how to communicate with the analysts when he visited CA in the past few days.
Tesla totally demonstrated the Rideshare app for Ron B!
Delaware lost its position. Once this precedent is set, what company would remain, much less set up there.

These CNBC interviewers clearly don't get it I love how they interject and interrupt him when he's about to make a key point and then steer the conversation off to some irrelevant antiquated BS. Totally clueless
They think about a qtr, he thinks about years. They will all miss the dramtic up swing when it happens. They will spend the rest of their life saying "I could have bought Tesla at $170"
I might have missed the party🎉 at sub145 but I'll still get to eat cake🎂 in 5 years time.
Why is the stock going up? Because after many years of Elon stating that FSD will be fully functional this year, it finally seems to be really going to happen.
Don't leave us hanging Herbert. What is going to make Tesla go up? 😁
People buying the stock, duh ;p

The CNBC crew are so rude the way they interrupt and ask questions.
I am so pissed at them all, so false, ignorant , and undoubtedly extremely corrupt. I never watch them, so boring and definitely uneducated.
My favorite part was when Ron clarified that he was not poor
Tesla's bottom could be in but it could still retest the bottom short term before skyrocketing. I wish that gap the stock just made gets filled to make a better base and allow me to top off my position.

Doesn't Ron have to say that? Slight bias when you own that many shares.
How freakin' clueless are these CNBC people? The one guy thinks that WAYMO is comparable?
Larry definitely needs to go out into the sun more ;-)
Wow. I cannot help wondering if any of these analysts have EVER planted their butts in a Tesla and experienced a ride controlled by FSD. To be fair, it would be best if they did so in a recent instance of version 12, however, WHY are they obviously NOT doing the least bit of direct, personal research? There's no excuse, TODAY, and that will only get worse from now on. Viewers will realize, at some point, that these so-called 'analysts' have been lazy and maybe even deliberately ignorant. That day will mark the beginning of a very bad time for these analysts, their jobs, and their networks.
Carriage with steam engine is what they are
Tesla needs to see that those media people get a ride in a FSD Tesla. Let them ride as a passenger for a period of time and then let them get behind the wheel. Do that and a lot of this cr*p could be nipped in the bud.
Great idea. Money well spent.
Evening guys
The media need to keep their jobs
Becky needs to be quiet
If Tesla shareholders in a large majority along with the board decide to pay Elon an astronomical sum, it is their right. But considering a multi billion dollar payout while you're firing 14000 employees doesnt seem quite right. It goes along with a trend where we've allowed CEOs to make salaries that dwarf the GDP of some countries. And Elon is a genius who has an insane work ethic. Does that mean he should be paid billions upon billions while he fires huge numbers of employees?
I don't know why we should convince anybody about what will happen? If everyone is investing in AI and you have tested v12, it's a 1+1 task to solve. People think it's likely tesla is going bankrupt 😂
