I lost over $70k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. Longer videos surrounding Tesla are usually deeper dives. Those take longer. How could deeper dives not be worth your time if you are an investor?
@@MyPapagio sometimes they are repetitive and not as information-dense. This one was superb! Most of Herbert’s are great. Some videos by other people are one guy talking for 2 hours. But some viewers have all day to watch videos, so that’s fine for them.

Why I bought TSLA.
2 huge new factories just opened or about finished that will each produce orders of magnitude additional profits. Debt was highly manageable and quarterly profit that could pay it off. And made vehicles that don’t pollute just by starting up.
Why I hold
MegaPacks and AutoBidder. FSD. The Charging network is the standard for the future. Bots, bots, bots everywhere. And other industries that will change the world.
When to sell
Never. It’s a legacy play that my great great grandkids will benefit from. If they are not greedy or short sighted like most traders are today.

Comparing Tesla as an auto company is like analyzing Apple as a phone company. You would never place Apple in the same category with Verizon, AT&t and T-Mobile. And you certainly wouldn't place it in the old "Ma Bell" category. Apple is a tech company that uses their iPhone as an anchor to sell their other services. Tesla is exactly the same and will grow the services business over time. The services will include charging, home energy storage and distribution, software and streaming services, etc.
Most flights are managed by autopilot, but we feel assured by seeing pilots in the front seat.
Reality is, though, the majority of plane crashes are due to pilot error!
Most tragic crashes are averted by good pilots and in many of those cases, AP is incapable of flying it. _( If you have to ask: start with Quantas 32's catastrophic events which rendered the AP useless due to the aerodynamic loads and end with Capt. Sully's landing on the Hudson. I can think of a dozen more off the top of my head.)_

Assuming the cost curve of batteries continues and that EV adoption continues, then yes. These Assumptions are highly likely. ICE will become more expensive however
I feel investors should focus on under-the-radar stocks, considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises plummeting stocks that were once revered. I don't know where to go here out of devastation.
The safest approach I feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown.

Not going directly to the Unboxed model and instead utilizing existing assembly lines means less Capex to get to more models. Less Capex spend means higher fcf. So even for the short term, WS dcf models will take sp in a better place for the short term

So true Alex! "People on the spectrum have a hard time lying" I am there too and I understand, and I understand Elon when he says something definite. Yes, he is often late, expecting too much from his teams, but he does not lie. If he says Robo is coming then it is. If he says it will be possibly the most important breakthrough in human history, then he will be right.
On the topic of humans wanting to always be in control on the road... with the amazing trend of younger people not wanting to drive or even getting a driver's license... and instead opting for Uber - Lyft - mom or a Cab, I don't see any problem for autonomous moving to the mainstream quickly.
I don't think it's a question of not wanting to drive, it's a question of cost. I gave my son driving lessons but he never got his license because car insurance was insanely expensive. It was less expensive to take an occasional Uber.
The energy storage business was hardly discussed, which I think will be a major contributor, but a very good discussion otherwise!!
Even some ppl who are decently educated on tesla fsd are still skeptical of robotaxis because of rare edge cases. In my mind, integration with Grok will address that issue where Grok will communicate with the passenger in extreme edge cases and give a few options on what to do, or hand off control to support person wearing a VR device that renders the situation in 3D

good video. I agree. I stopped listening to those who are repeating the FUD. First you need a little critical thinking to be able to recognize FUD and then you can practice to ignore it. Often you'll see someone who seem sincere in their doubts but unfortunately something like that can only be resolved in their own head. No one should be able to sway them either way... they need to figure it out themselves, we all do. Agree with Alex.

I don’t think anyone else in US can make cars like Tesla right now so why not sell that? Ford can become a “Target” or Walmart for custom “store brands” made by Tesla.

Missing the near-certainty that practically everyone will instantly see the light with Actually Smart Summon (ASS), then be totally sold on Tesla's E/AVs when Banish is released. At that point, practically everyone will be eager to understand and utilize FSD (unsupervised and/or supervised as well).

The difference between Tesla allow existing vehicles in the fleet to be robotaxi capable vs. not being able to is a substantial change in market valuation. That question is currently up for debate whether the existing fleet has the hardware capable to be robotaxis.

What is important now ist the increase of ai capacity which is a magic solution for all problems.
