i think the reason why chloe had little fumbles in black swan is because she had to do that dance right after forgetting her solo and crying backstage so she was likely shaky and nervous after all the stress.

Poor Chloe looked and danced like she was so defeated in the last clip. I don’t blame Maddie though, this was all on Abby. Abby didn’t want Maddie close to anyone but herself
Finally somebody who feels for chloe but doesn't just blame it on maddie.
Yeah Abby's relationship with Maddie was so toxic Abby would try to make Maddie feel that everyone was out to get her and was jealous of her when in reality the moms were angry at Abby's abuse. All the girls were victims.

I’m so hoping that Chloe & Maddie rekindle their friendship when Chloe moves to LA full time. Regardless of their mothers drama, they had such a great connection as kids. It would be amazing to see them PARTNER again instead of compete against each other.
I'm with you on the confessions dance, you can feel her hurt towards maddie there
I'm just realizing that maybe the reason the "maddie face" is so strong in Confessions is because maddie's feelings aren't genuine in that dance like they are in the others. She's pretending to be hurt and betrayed... this dance is so drama filled but it was very obvious was very obvious during this episode that maddie just wanted to dance with her friend and things go back to normal. Everybody talks about how you can feel Chloe's hurt, but I think you can feel Maddie's too and she's trying very very hard to mask it
Agreed. You’re probably high on the empathy scale as well so you can feel peoples true emotions regardless of what they are trying to project .
I felt so sorry for Chloe being put in this duet. Abby set it up that the story for the show was that Chloe hadn't been honest and had something to confess, when it was kinda the opposite.
Cucfan l think the whole situation hurt Chloe deeply because she felt like she couldn't trust Maddie anymore. And then for Abby to turn the situation upside down to blame it on Chloe, it was just too much. You can tell she really didn't want to do this dance.
Chloe would have done a lot better if Christi had just chilled out and not made an issue out of every lost Chloe had. She had an excuse for every loss and of course it was NEVER something Chloe did/did not do. Always someone else's fault. That didnt help with Chloe's confidence either. Christi (the mother)had more to do with her confidence than Abby could possibly have done. Thats true with all mothers whether the child is a spelling bee or dance contestant.
Right Abby is a sick woman to try to manipulate little kids

They should have definitely had more duets in seasons 2 & 3 before they lost their magic together :(. And I think seeing something other than pretty lyrical would have been cool too. If only Abby had put them in more duets together instead of against each other they probably wouldn’t have lost their special connection in season 4... it’s really sad to see tbh

I loved Maddie and Chloe’s duets. You could tell that they were close ( most of the time)
Ps I felt so bad when Abby put in that other duet. You could really tell she was hurt but I feel like Maddie was so dedicated to Abby that Maddie might thought it was right or didn’t think about it.
At that point also, the girls were still young enough that Maddie hadn’t found her voice yet, so she felt like she couldn’t protest against the duet.
Inside of Me is my favorite duet as well.
I think it's around 10 minutes in where you talk about how people were tuning in every week to see these girl's improvements, and you'd be correct. Everyone that i know and online would talk about how we wished the show would have had more of a dance focus. And these girls definitely inspired me to take dance classes when i was in my mid-20s watching Dance Moms. Broke me out of my comfort zone. Never realized how much i loved dance until this show. They're troopers for putting up with everything that they did and hope they are taking care of themselves now ❤ great video and i also enjoyed reading your comments in this and other videos 💕

It’s so sad to see the beautiful friendship that they had at the beginning be ruined by Abby and the moms. They were so close and that all went away unfortunately

Also 9n dance Moms it jist got to the point where I feel like Chloe took SO much crud from Abby and even Melissa and Maddie, that they constantly wanted Maddie as number one and anytime Chloe would out due Maddie on anything, she would basically get punished for it, and I just think at some point she was determined NOT to win because it was less pressure then just to let Maddie stay number one. It makes me so very sad. I was not a dancer as a child, but I did get to a point of feeling defeated because of other people getting so upset if I had any kind of glory for anything. I rebeled pretty bad, so that is probably why I relate to Chloe, tho she didnt rebel thank God haha. She just does her own thing.

@Sabrina Reynolds WOW you are spot on! Very intuitive! I really think it got to the point where Chloe was afraid to shine. A prime example of that is her dance videos after she left, l think they blew Maddie away! I'm just really glad that somebody could actually read what was going on and not be afraid to say it! If Chloe wasn't at least as good as Maddie if not better, she couldn't mirror her in their duets. Thanks for your comment, it was very insightful. ❤

I loved this video, thanks for sharing! I always thought that Maddie and Chloe had a magical connection that Maddie didn't have with anyone else. The other duets were great , don't get me wrong, l just think Chloe and Maddie's chemistry was unparalleled. They definitely sparkled together! ✨✨
Honestly I feel that Chloe always had to hide it when she was excited about winning something or betting others because she was worried about people’s feelings. Maddie on the other hand could celebrate and everyone else just had to except it. When Chloe won the Ballet competition she said she tried not to show how excited she was but Maddy was allowed to cry because she didn’t win then but the others aren’t. The same when McKenzie beat Maddie. Maddie cried because her sister beat her
YES I AGREE! I'm EXACTLY THE SAME WAY!!! Whenever it was 'Cast List' day I always just silently went and read the list and celebrated to my self. If I got the lead role I would call my friends back home in my home town, but other than that, I didn't even feel comfortable talking about it to my FRIENDS because everyone made you feel SO bad if you were the 'Winner' or the 'Lead'. I feel like I never got to celebrate any of my successess because I was afraid of hurting anyone else's feeelings. I don't think it's necessarily anything anyone did to Chloe, it's just her nature as a person. Some people are naturally braggy and robust and some are sensitive of how it will effect others.
maddie didn’t cry because she didn’t win, it was edited she cried because she was like 9 and wanted to organize her makeup and her mom yelled at her, she got a ballet scholarship too
The everlasting friend duet was going to be done in season 1 ep 3 bc you can see Maddie and Chloe’s outs
I honestly think that these just show how amazing Chloe actually was! She was just as great as Maddie if not better when you think about how Maddie was being homeschooled dancing all day everyday and Chloe was still at the same level

The 1st duet Chloe actually said in her book that her and Maddie choreographed themselves I believe the day before.

I wish they were still working together, in everything. But In the beggining I still think it really was Chloe that helped Maddie so much to imporove, and I wish Maddie would acknowledge that. I love all the girls, but Chloe has been my fav and is still my fav all through dance Moms and even now tho she hasnt pursued dance fulltime, I absolutely adore her!
As far as ideas, Id like to hear your comments about the team anytime another coach did the coreography, like when Abby was. in jail, or Chloe's coach after she left dance Moms...Id love to hear your comments on different dance coaching styles and studios, things like that...But really everything you put out is entertaining, so Im not worried, what do YOU want to do next? Haha.
I totally agree! I think Maddie looked up to Chloe to learn how to improve her technique! You can tell Maddie is very observant and challenges herself and learns from those around her. I say this based off of her comments she made with Sophia Lucia came to the studio. I think the whole 'bringing in someone better' tactic Abby used was NOT because it works for every kid, but because she saw it was working for MADDIE and Maddie was the gasoline behind the engine of that show to the mainstream audience after a while!
To be honest, what I would like to do the MOST on my channel is just talk about REAL life, not necessarily even anything to do with Dance, just life in general. But those videos don't do well on my channel so they will probably be few and far between lol

They always danced the best together because they danced up to what one did better than the other. Maddie would give herself more of a pause between movements and Chloe use more fluidity. I wish they had given them duets more often on the show. They would have improved even faster!

I’m a huge fan! i think Chloe might’ve been worked up after her black swan because it was the same competition that she had just forgotten her solo and it was nationals which could’ve been a factor as to why she fumbled with her footing a little. That being said... I would really love it if you could react to Eliana Walmsley and Jason Maybaum on DWTS jr’s!!! 💕💞❤️💜

The thing is with Maddie she rushes her dances for some reason. She was called out about it with the Joffrey audition they said she doesn't live in the moment she rushes through all her steps and I noticed that a lot of her dances especially to do at it's like the second partner has it worse because they have to keep up with her time because Abby never saw a issue with anything Maddie did at that time. Great dancers but where held back a lot due to teachers and the show
That’s was literally when she was 8 years old. Kids can only dance with so much maturity and fluidity. She improved when she got older.

When maddie and Chloe used to dance they were so in sync they seemed like sisters. It’s so sad that they lost that.

I thought Chloe was the most beautiful dancer, moved very graceful, Maddie was "athletic".....
yeah, I think they have totally different body types and styles of movement. Up until about season 5, Maddie danced very loose and free, and Chloe danced very controlled and precise. Chloe continued to dance very precise and placed right until she left the team, I feel that Maddie's style changed to be a lot more controlled after she started taking ballet seriously and started getting a bit taller. But for me, what I appreciate about the 2 dancers is Chloe's vulnerability on stage, and Maddie's raw theatrical acting.

These duets were all beautiful but did you realise that some of the duets have a similar choreography? If you compare the full version of “inside of me” and “we’re alright” (11:53 to 12:10)

I feel like Mackenzie and Chloe could potentially have a good duet together, but they specialize in different types of dance so that alone might throw the dance off.

Chloe in the confessions dance looks completely not connected to the dance or music... her face was just almost emotionless and kind of like going through the motions... she just wears her heart on her sleeve and it’s so apparent in this dance... I think Maddie is more just a performer.. the kind of person that will perform the hell out of a dance no matter how she feels... they’re just very different in that context... still beautiful dancers... just very very different kids. It’s sad that the show and their moms basically ruined their friendship.. hopefully that has changed and can give us one more duet at some point lol 🤞🏻

That confessions number was after Maddie lied to Chloe about Two Sapphires, and Abby made a big deal about his this story was Chloe confessing to Maddie how she had lied and wasn't there for her. Abby Lee Miller was so awful to Chloe. I love Christi, but I wanted her to shut up so many times so Chloe could be stretched to her potential.
I love their duets. I feel bad that Abbey ruined their friendship. What is the difference between contemporary and lyrical? This last one i believe was after Maddie lying to Chloe
in 2019 the difference is that the term "Lyrical" has kind of been abandoned in the Professional dance world as a genre. Anything that is Lyrical is therefore just grouped into the genre of 'Contemporary' . That being said, the difference used to be that a Lyrical piece was a modern/ballet influenced dance that was choreographed in representation to the lyrics (As opposed to more tradtionally, in Ballet, where we choreograph to the music, using the same defined vocabulary of steps to chose from) and a 'Contemporary' piece had no real rules and was a new genre that fused physical acting and movement with the art of dance. Now they are all just lumped together in one big genre that we call 'Contemporary' . I hope that made sense and wasn't too confusing lol

ohh in terms of Dancing I have to say Two Sapphires would score better, but Inside of Me has much more sentimental value to me because it was the point in my life when I was falling in love with dance.
