Excellent demo. I just picked up the Ikon. Substantially fantastic! The 45 sounds great, as well. The more subtle tones starting 'round 2:48 are beautiful. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Was very interested in this pedal already, but what a fantastic demo! Love the The Who/AC/DC mashups featuring some of their best known tracks. Genius.
Yes, but I know a guy who uses a Rockett 45 and a tele and 68 Deluxe....and this is what he sounds like on stage. Amazing. He tells me it's all about getting the right mids.
thearoom still have that morning glory?? I’m curious. The morning glory is my current desert island overdrive but I’m missing my OCD for its transparency. Couldn’t part with the morning glory though personally
I been waiting for a good review of this... So thanks Andy!... Always top draw!... Tbh I've been so impressed with my 'archer' i think im gonna grab one of these as soon as possible!....
Oops... Beg pardon Mikey!... I get so used to seeing Andy do these... I follow Mike on his channel..still not used to him being here!... Forgive me!... Im still getting one of these bad boys!... ;-)
Sounds really great! I notice on that you have the treble knob (mostly) dialed low throughout. Is the pedal very bright? I know their "The Dude" pedal is a little bit overly bright and harsh. I'm wondering if this one has the same problem.
John Hegarty - I'd owned the Animal for about 2 years when I got my .45 Cal. The .45 Cal is more amp-like in response, has less gain (but still plenty), and a slightly looser breakup. It's fantastic "always on" pedal that colours the tone beautiful regardless of if you are using it as an OD pedal. The Animal has a very tight gain, and is a little more modern sounding. I sold the Animal and all of my other OD pedals. I use the .45 for everything.
two different pedals with different intented functions. Archer for a clean boost... this for a nice overdrive sound (you can also use this to boost your signal, but the tone will be altered more than with the archer). If I were in the market for a nice overdrive, this would be a choice. If I already have an overdrive pedal or a 2-channel amp and wanted to boost the signal for more volume/saturation without altering the tone... then archer.
Excellent demo.

Holy shit, this demo actually sounds slightly different to all of mikes other overdrive demos
Think the guy from J Rockett knows Pete used Hiwatts and a Super-fuzz at Leeds?
Great, please do a comparison with the .45 Caliber and the new Majestic pedal! Cheers!
Stunning sound! 😮 love it!
This guy makes all pedals sound the same. His playing is so calculated and smooth,

Love this pedal. It retired my morning glory for now....but I won't get rid of the glory..just in case..

Has anyone tried both the .45 Caliber and the Animal? Are they very similar?

OK, had to ask: this or an Archer??
