Just seeing this vid. For 2 years ago it still looks good. Great job the steak looks delicious I can almost smell and taste it. My mouth was watering. Wow
I have a massive Foreman grill and that thing is a beast and super easy to clean. We eat steak on most Sundays and spring for the grass fed beef. Can def tell the diff in taste between quality meat and cheaper cuts!
HEY MIKE, that was a awesome cook my friend , I would have never bet that you would have got the grill marks that you did on that steak, on a electric grill, and those steaks were cooked to perfection, and I wish I could have been your taste tester. LOL AWESOME JOB MY FRIEND. GOD BLESS YOU MIKE. !!!!!
hello can I use both sides of the grill? Can I close it on that steak? Why didnt you use it like that what was your reason? 🙂Was it because of the different thickness of the meat? Cause I only see advantages to cook them from both sides at the same time, maybe cook them one by one cause they should be juicier that way, cause pores on both sides would shrink at the same time and keep its juice. But thanks for the video👍.
Well that was very creative Mike. Agree with the multiple flip method. The single flip method has been discredited quite a while ago now as being the only correct way to cook a steak. I like that beef-base seasoning as well and I’ve never heard of that before. Now I have that method tucked away in my brain LOL!
Thanks for sharing I have the same Delonghi grill and I'm going to try this tonight. The manual suggests cooking steak with the flat griddle plates in the contact grill setting with the sear button option at the beginning. Have you ever tried that?
You know it's so good, that you end up wanting to lick the carving board. Brilliant steak, new info on multi flipping. Will definitely try next time, also the hot pan thing too. No oiling it first, just the steak? Nice!👏👏👍
Season the meat in a plastic bag over night, just put the meat and the marinade in a plastic bag and knead it + let it soak over night. Then watch this video.
Thanks for the awesome video. One question off topic or maybe you could do a video how do you clean a cutting board after all that blood in fat is on there. I have a wooden cutting board but don't like to use it because of the cleanup. Thank you for that video again
Wow you would have no idea those were done indoors!! I have never heard of using beef base in the seasoning...that sounds genius:) These steaks are beautiful !! Perfect :)
Mel, next time you get a grocery store steak and want to take it up a notch, try this. It really takes it to the next level! Thank you for checking it out.
Can we grill the steak up and down at the same time, by closing the upper grill above the upper side of the steak (if the grill has that option) ? or better to grill it on a flat grill side after the other?
The brand isn't important. To make a rub you could use any beef stock powder, or crumble a couple of stock cubes and make a paste of those with a little, and I mean a LITTLE, oil. You're not dissolving the powder into the oil, you're using the oil to moisten the powder. Add a bit of cayenne, or whatever other spice you like. Go nuts! For grilled chicken, swap it out for chicken stock powder or cubes.
@@WeekendWarriorBBQ Thanks i have been needing one of these for steaks and whatnaught. I haven't quite figured out how to cook "Whatnaughts" but I'll get there. Thanks again.
If you are adding beef flavor to your steak, you are buying the wrong steak. Spend the extra cash and buy 100% grass fed and grass finished it's totally worth it
You could but I like to wrap a piece of bacon around the fillet, grill for about 2 minutes per side and then finish it in a 450 degree oven for about 8 minutes or until they are medium rare. The oven will cook the bacon perfectly
This is how i do my steaks mate :D Oh if you are going to use your fingers to put on the paste be sure to clean your hands, not saying this guy didn't but to avoid getting sick always wash your hands :) loved the video mate
If your steaks don’t have a lot of flavor, you’re shopping at the wrong place. Any good USDA steak only need salt and pepper. If it needs more than that it’s a poor quality steak. Best cuts in my opinion are NY Strip, Ribeye, Sirloin, tenderloin or filet mignon, of course & porterhouse if you want to go big.

Hooley dooley! That beef base rub has my jaws tingling and my mouth salivating. Can't wait. I'm doing that to my hamburger tonight.
Thank you, you have convinced me to buy an electric grill after 7 years of struggling :D

Hey, Gary! Its a simple way to "beef up" an inexpensive steak. You'll like it.

DeLonghi Grill is a very good gadget. It work even with big chunks.
Awesome. Thanks, trying tonight

Thank you, Mona! Yeah, get that grill pan super hot and nothing will stick.
I gotta try this tomorrow for my birthday.

Nice easy to follow video, Whats the music in the background?
Great easy video! Thank you
why don't you close the grill and cook on both sides, is that only for panninis closing both sides? If so, i'm getting george forman grill instead
I had the same question but I don't want to mess it up, I'll do it the same way he did.
Watching you eat the steak is so yummy!
What's the power (number of watts) of your electric grill?
Thanks for the awesome video. One question off topic or maybe you could do a video how do you clean a cutting board after all that blood in fat is on there. I have a wooden cutting board but don't like to use it because of the cleanup. Thank you for that video again
Thank you for your video... It would have been better if you mentioned what grill you are using as I am trying to find one to buy...
This one is made by Delonghi. It is a very nice indoor grill.
@@WeekendWarriorBBQ Thank you so much, especially for such a quick response.

How long should I keep it for well done?
I just finished eating dinner but am hungry for steak after watching this! 🥩🤤
🥩 = strong medicine 😁.
Nice Job. Production of this video was well-Done, too.
Thanks for the awesome video , my 🥩STEAKS🥩 were just perfect 👌
Could you use beef bouillon instead? Or no.
You should check out Kenyon Grills, they have the best electric grill!
What type of grill are you using?
Great looking steaks Mike ...cooked perfectly
Hi, can you tell me what kind of seasoning did you put in those steaks ?...Thanks , please I really want to know...
Beef base powder +grapeseed oil
Beautiful sear marks on those steaks Mike ! I was waiting on my invite for supper ! Excellent job Sir !
Thank you, Kent!
Thanks man..good looking steak
That’s well done
I just bought a bella electric griddles. It says steaks on that too. I am just learning how to cook. Tired of microwave stuff.
Have you tried this with chicken breast/chicken base?
Definitely need to try this next time I get steaks.
I haven’t tried that but it would probably be pretty good.
looks great. why didn't you cook both sides at the same time with the griddle closed?
This way I dont have to wash two griddle plates.
@@WeekendWarriorBBQ :-) LOL
😁
Man nice medium rare Mike! Never used an indoor grill but I'm in.
Charley, thank you! The electric grill or cast iron grill pan is meant for 🥩
What grill is that. I'd like to get one of those?
Hi, Ray. Its a DeLonghi
Can we grill the steak up and down at the same time, by closing the upper grill above the upper side of the steak (if the grill has that option) ? or better to grill it on a flat grill side after the other?
You can but I prefer to flip it just like a normal grill. I always feel like closing the other side on-top of it squeezes out too much juice.
@@WeekendWarriorBBQ Only if you press too hard I guess?
Nice looking stake 🤤 What brand is this electric grill?
Hi Mohamed. The grill is made by a company called DeLonghi.
@@WeekendWarriorBBQ awesome thanks so much 🙏🏼
what brand/model is the indoor electric grill?
Here you go: amzn.to/3QKPSvY
Mine turned out perfect ... I used sirloin though.
Those steaks are PERFECT!!!!!!! An Extra "BIG" thumbs up :-) ROCK ON!!!!!!!
Mega Fred! I am honored! Thank you!
What’s the grill brand?
Hey Mike what brand electric grill is that?
Hey Joseph! Its a DeLonghi. Incredible indoor grill.
Does it taste like a gas or charcoal grill?
Does the steak need to be brought to room temperature before cooking or is it okay to cook it straight from the fridge? Great video btw 😎👍
You dont need it to be room temperature but I like to take it out of the fridge about 20 minutes before I cook them.
Can i do it without beef base and using just salt and pepper?
Yes you can.
What grill are you using?
It is made by DeLonghi
Nice stak. Nice griddle :)
WHAT KIND OF GRIDDLE OR NAME OF IT> LOVE WHAT IT DOES TO THE STEAKS!
Beautiful looking steaks! 🍀

I think its beef base powder + grapeseed oil. Mix

Do you recommend this method w/ filet mignon?

Somebody's been watching Marco Pierre White. 😁
If your shop bought steaks have no flavour, don’t buy them..
That's raw, blood eating
Did you lose all your spoons? Gross using your fingers to mix and spread. 🫤
