The fact that people crying over a villain death is just show how perfect Riot make a silco as a villain, he is a perfect example on how you make a villain in a story, he's terrifying, evil but at the same time you can see why he is who he is and sympathize for him, in another story silco could be a hero.
The fact that they made you wanna hug, comfort and protect the psychotic mass-murderer might be even more impressive. The horrible tragedy that is Jinx cuts straight through my bones. That poor girl 😭
Jinx: "Where should i sit?" Lola: "Therapy" god, i know whole scene isn't funny at all but that just killed me. P.S. Thanks for your reaction, that was really amazing show and we all got bunch of emotions from this!!
Aside from the fact that the equivalent era their world is set in, doesn't have anything like that. In fact, what they would have would be torture facilities where people are locked up and abused indefinitely.
Yeah, people treat it like that’s the thing that connects them but for Vi, remembering her family gives her comfort. Jinx has been doing nothing but remembering for years and it torments her.
Ive seen some others too in compilations that say "its not the right thing to say" specially in that moment, both sides failed to understand Jinx real needs, they think using the importance of their bond would be enough to keep her safe, But you cant grasp the real importance to someone as broken as Jinx and how those calls affected her
@@aceboiart4891 can't say whether it is good or not. Probably, soon we will see Caitlin evil side as well, especially if her mum is dead. Her vengeance against the whole Undercity, hundreds of victims, by that time we will want her to die in this episode.
man, people baby jinx way too much. that was literally the reason she decided to kill silco to save vi. jinx is running from all the people in her life she loved as powder and distorting their faces and memories so as to not feel pain and stay in jinx mode, an efficient killing machine. but she NEEDS to feel that pain in order to accept everything that happened and everything she's done. jinx has quite literally kinapped vi and caitlin and is now threatening their lives, and vi is still trying to appeal to the part of her that feels love. it's painful as hell but it must be done, especially in such a high stakes scenario where lives are on the line. vi did the right thing and the only thing she could have done at that point, as someone who still loves her sister and still believes in her. it paid off because it saved their lives but it was tragic because jinx killed silco and that death and his memory will be engraved with far more power than he had when he was alive and trying to manipulate her into forgetting everything and everyone (he mightve had good intentions too, but that's what he did)
This show has a way of defying almost every expectation the audience has to, in turns, surprise us and devastate us depending on the episode. One of the best shows I've seen in years.
@@postafezes such a weird comparison....AOT has many seasons with around 80 episodes so far...this one has one season with just 9 episodes...we get it, you´re an AOT fanboy but that comparison was lame!

id even say gaslighting, since silco morally is the worst character in the show. not even going to how he works children at his factories or pushing folks into shimmer addiction - killing vander and making his foster daughter into a maniacal killing machine takes the cake. every step deeper into madness for powder was wrought by silco, leading to the cleft between the sisters and ultimately in S2 to jinxes death
@@joesmith1642 In similar vein of The Last of Us 1/2. "What will you do for love. What will you do for hate." Love and hate will blind you or open your eyes.
@BattleAngelFan someone gave an explanation that both Vi and Silco were arguing with the wrong type of statements. As they pointed out, Vi bringing up “family” was just further personifying her trauma, and not only did it widen the gap between them, it just further proved how much Vi never fully connected with Powder further than surface level. For Silco, it goes back to how he realizes Vander’s perspective, how truly important Jinx is to him that he’s willing to throw away everything, something that potentially could’ve benefited Zaun and work to some type of peace, for an adopted daughter that he clearly would’ve killed anyone for, even her sister. That “you’re perfect” line is, like you said is the worst thing he could’ve said, but he unconditionally and blindly loved her as his own, something like those parents who’d blindly defend their child in some tv show. Vi failed Powder by believing family would bring her back. Silco failed Jinx by making her believe there’s no reason to go back. Powder’s gone, and Jinx’s chaotic rampage that has caused her to lose everyone she loved will continue because that’s what she now believes as “perfect.” Again I’m just paraphrasing some Reddit post, probably explained better there lol
@BattleAngelFan 9 months late I know, but silco raised jinx to be able to survive in the cruel world that is Zayn, where you the strong take from the weak In the river baptism scene silco says 'jinx is perfect', showing he wants her to be jinx, to get rid of all of powder Vi only ever calls her powder, refusing to acknowledge that her sister has changed and is no longer the sweet little girl she knew Silco' final words of 'you're perfect' shows that he no longer cares if she is jinx, powder or something else, he loves her no matter what It shows a great development of what he used to see her as and what he thought was best for her to what she is now.
It's so amazing how you instantly knew Silco wasn't gonna give her up, a lot of other reactors doubted Silco until the very end. But if you follow their relationship throughout the show it's very clear he'd never give her up
Thank you! It's like they weren't paying attention to the fact that he would sacrifice anyone on the altar EXCEPT her. He nearly lost his entire organization just to protect her.
They just were too focused in the villain persona i guess, usually people think villiains are using everyone arround them or just pretend care about them, theres a lot of villiains that are loyal to their crew and has even a deeper fond that the protagonist themselves
Yeah... But tbh every song of the series is put perfect. So well done... But if you literally focus on the song "what could have been" and listen to the lyrics compared to Jinx you like start crying all over again. I personally did not first time listen to that songs lyrics because of the series. But if you do... It means so much... It just describes Jinx full story of why and how. Also that: I want you to loose like I loose when I play what could have been... Dude it basically means her thinking about what could have been is a loose since she could have a better live in every possible aspect... It's just so saddddddd
The song was written for the exact sequence of the scene by the Arcane score composer (of Mako), and Sting was invited to sing it. Both nailed it, but the composer did it first 🙂
Episode 3 is where you realize you like this show. Episode 6 is where you realize you are in love with this show. Episode 9 is where you realize you need more of this show.
To be honest I don't know if I want a second season. This episode wraps everything up in a nice little bow of tragedy. It's like watching a trainwreck - more and more cars piling up, the momentum undying. Just getting progressively worse as we see the Gemstones be utilized for weaponry - with the thumping march of war seemingly inevitable. And when you think it'll turn around and get better - a resolution, finally! The avenues of peace: Silco and the Council get shot down by Jinx.
It's episode 7 when i became so interested in Arcane, the Ekko vs Jinx was just so iconic for me. It's the last episode of the season that made me fall in love in this show, the "Sheesh, I'm not that crazy" scene (ur definitely that krazy jinx😂), Jinx asking Vi to love and accept her not as Powder but as Jinx, Silco dying, Powder fully embraced herself as Jinx then launching her ult to the council!
Silco has "Freedom at any cost" mentality even if it means death of many innocent people and Vander had "Peace at any cost" mentality, even while the topside was exploiting and poisoning them. But in his last moments, when he had to protect his daughter, Vander gave up on his pacifist principles and was ready to smash some skulls, the same way Silco gave up on his principles when he had to give up his daughter, and independence of Zoan was suddenly no longer a priority. "Ohh it all makes sense now brother
There is some similarities between the two, but a big diffeence is that one has the power to achieve his goal, the other one rely solely on scaring Piltover; knowing full well he can't defeat them.
I love that Silco always treats Jinx like normal. Always just talks to her calmly and respectfully in even tones, not reacting to her antics or mood swings like they are weird, just trusting that Jinx is smart and capable underneath it all. From the scenes in his office where she is swaying to and fro, jumping around the room, making random comments, he just keeps up his conversation. Contrast it to every other interaction Jinx has where people are super uneasy around her, or talk down to her. He puts his trust in her, shows her that he needs her. Even here, he was shooting at Vi to stop her from triggering Jinx's PTSD, and knew she was completely overwhelmed, and didn't sit there blaming her at all for reacting to protect her sister, he just tries to assuage her guilt and sadness. Like you said, she has always wanted someone to accept and love her for who she was, and Silco really did.
Also those other people kinda mocking Silco for "having Jinx take care of stuff" but like... that's what she always wanted. He believed in her whereas before she had been basically called a burden who ruins everything, got left behind too which she took really hard. But Silco is like "Nah, YOU are the one I trust to do this." Even after the timeskip she still has these insecure moments and Silco always answers in a confident encouraging manner. Gosh, I want S2 to have flashbacks scenes of her growing up with Silco T_T.
@@iicyfyiicyfy4568 It would be awesome to see him as a voice of reassurance to counter the manifestation of negativity in Mylo's apparition. That'd make a nice reflection of Vander appearing to Vi in the bar fight as well.
Proof of silco's trust of jinx: Episode 1, silco injects his own eye no issue Episode 5 (I think) just before jinx interrogates silco, he is struggling to inject his eye Silco is no longer able to do it alone, he is so used to jinx doing it for him now Would you trust just anyone, or even most of your family to inject your eye?!
Love how when Jinx tells Vi to kill Caitlyn. She says "make her go away". This is a refrence to when they where younger and played the game where they would come up with monsters that would fight each other. In the end of the game Vi would allways make a to scary monster and Powder would start crying. So Vi had to chase her own monster away. In Jinxs eyes Caitlyn is a monster (thats why in episode 7 she sees her with devil horns and a evil grin). So when she says "Make her go away please" It really hits very close to home for Vi. Btw love the reaction series. Will miss this weekly video. Guess we will be back when season 2 arrives. If you want to see more of arcane the season 2 announcment have been released on RUclips and there is a music video for the song Enemy with scenes that wasnt in the show. Have a good one!
Thank you. Finally someone that gets it. It is why Jinx can murder enforcers with such callous ease. They are monsters to her, as imprinted on her mind so many years ago on that bridge. Her issue doesn't lie with Vi being with someone, it lies with her being with an *enforcer* . It is why she struggled with her name. It is why she makes Caitlyn wear her dress uniform to the dinner party. Silco made that deal with Marcus probably to keep them out of Zaun and away from her as much as possible, so to her he was keeping the monsters at bay. Her aquiring the hextech was a means to tip that balance so he wouldn't need a 'deal'. And part of that hate was cultivated by Vi, herself, which is why to Jinx it feels like she's changed, has lied, and has betrayed her. Imagine, if you will, someone who raised you to be devout suddenly becomes an atheist, or vice versa.
no they didn't the 'scar' is on both sides of fishbones, you just never see the right side of fishbones plus she had drawings of fishbones when she was powder, so the silco-fishbones correlation is just coincidence
@@KaiserDaChoom Its not unconfirmed Silco and his sea monsters didnt influence it. IF YOU WANT THE REAL REASON... its because Jinx in LoL has had a shark rocket launcher for 6 years.
When Vi is mentioning Milo Clagor Vander, she doesn’t know how much they haunt Jinx in her memories, but Silco does.. he goes berserk because he sees Jinx is suffering, like trying to stop Vi hurting Jinx.
that is kinda hypocritical when silco produced the whole situation where the crew and vander die in the first place he also used the 7 years timeskip to plant this whole self hatred and maniacal behavior in jinx and fostered it because it gave him power the reason he gets upset there would be more along the lines of fear, since there was a chance that Vi broke through there. silco simply wanted to counter that
Woa. That's powerful stuff. I love how there's such a deep divide between the Powder and Jinx personas and that gap widens over the course of the series. Till at the end, only one can truly exist, and tbh, Jinx 'surviving' seemed pretty much inevitable after her Shimmer treatment.
Instead of his usual "Jinx is perfect" in his final moments he tells her "You're perfect" Letting her know that she's perfect whether she chooses to be Jinx or Powder. Silco is the best kind of villain, absolutely evil and causes innocents to die but at the same time has depth, relatability, and redeeming qualities.
for me he did that to drive a last wedge between the sisters. Vi obv wants her to be powder, and silco had 7 years to witness how stark the effects of last words of ppl on jinx are
@@betelgeux6010 Hahahahahaha bro, you really need to rewatch the Show, WTF Why can't some people accept that even though Silco was a true villain, he had indeed loved Jinx as a daughter? Seems like you guys are not used to well-written villains, are you? lmao
One thing that Silco was right about was how Vi never really grasped who Powder became and how deep her scars were as she became Jinx. Instead of taking a step back to look, she pushed forward and dug at her wounds. And because of that, Vi didn’t consider or even notice how bringing up those names was sending her sister into a spiral
Yep, because that all Vi knows, and even she is starting to see the faults in her approach. Just like how she was screaming in frustration after she beat Sevika. She literally walked right through the front door of Silco's headquarters and expected that to work. Only to realize it was a waste of time. Vi only know how to charge head on and punch things. She never takes time to step back and look at things, and she never actually had a plan to save Powder. She really did just think she was going to punch Silco I'm the face and sweep her off her feet like he was Bowser and she was Princess Peach. And that's why it failed.
@@MALICEM12 just like Jinx, Vi its deeply scared for past events, she has her own set of traumas too, just cause Jinx are More prominent and extreme doesnt mean Vi has the tools to deal tiwh their conflict in the best way, It was pretty consistent that she tried and failed cause she didnt had the full picture of it
One interpretation of when vi said "Picture milo, clagger....." and the voices started appearing in jinxes head. Jinx revealed that, she hears all the voices, not only the 2 boys but vi and vander as well, its her trauma Vi was creating monsters for powder and it got too scary for her and vi didnt even realise it. EXACLTY Like the game they played as a baby. Only now it was silco trying to chase them away by stopping her and shooting her in the head
Of coarse. Silco could be the one who tries to get rid of the monsters in her head, but when Silco was now dead, she had no one to get rid of the monsters. But Maybe, in season 2, if there's gonna be a character that can be in love with her and care for her and understand her actions and sadness, he might be the next one who can save her from the monsters.
You kinda missed the point when Silco orders Jinx to "finish it off" by killing both Vi and Cait. Silco and Vi both created the monsters in Jinx' head. Stop infatuating Silco. You're just as impressionable as Powder/Jinx.
I loved that Silco in his final moments even after getting shot by Jinx he didn’t feel betrayed or hatred for her at all. But instead he says” Don’t cry, your perfect” that just made me start tearing up.
when silco is sitting at vanders fountain so many people dont understand the true amount of character development he realized in that moment that he had become vander himself
"You never left. I always heard you. Shadows in the streets, prickles on the back of my neck. Your voice. Pushing me. Picking me up, when all the colors were black."
I'm glad you two felt the the same pain when Silco died . He was an imperfect man who did terrible things to achieve a noble cause. Despite all of this, he was overal a good father
Outlast Fan Considering his own trauma and abandonment issues, I’d say he did a pretty decent job after watching the Therapist Reacts video on their relationship. The main thing he did wrong was enabling and spoiling her
@@unknownentity9468 Exactly. You don't enable someone with a psychosis. He made it worse. She was NOT perfect. She was broken and needed help instead of affirmation.
I'm glad you guys reacted to Arcane and enjoyed it overall (despite all the suffering that you went through. Yeah, sorry about that). As for the episode, it is one of the best closures we could have had knowing that everything ends so abruptly and yet they managed to give importance to all the characters (some more than others) but it feels like a satisfying ending to introduce season 2. Long-ass comment ahead. One of the things that I enjoyed the most was that Arcane is full of parallels between a lot of characters, messages and subtextual elements that I'd like to highlight, but this comment would be biblical in length, so the most meaningful part for me was just before the whole rocket scene, exactly when Jinx sits on the chair. That image has a brutal narrative weight that defines Jinx's character as such, as what she is and how that cannot change. There are only four spoken lines, but the blocking, the shots, the cuts, Sting's song coming in slowly, make this one of my favorite sequences from Arcane. It is not only about Jinx accepting herself as she is because Silco motivated her to do so, but also literally reaffirming her identity as a jinx, since once again because of her, a part of her family dies and everything leads to an explosion that interrupts an imminent peace. That's something she will have to learn how to live with and maybe that's why she left Vi, because she brings "bad luck" and may fear that her sister ends up like Vander, Silco and the others but also maybe Jinx can't fully accept Vi despite yearning for her all those years they were separated. A big part of the series of the series was about Vi trying to find the sister she left behind, only to be blinded by that guilt when she abandoned her and didn't realize that in the present that Powder no longer exists, and yet Vi ( with a little selfishness) fights to get her back even if it hurts her younger sister reminding her trauma. And what I find particularly tragic is how they diverted attention to make believe that everything was about Vi trying to find and maybe accept Jinx as she is now, however, Jinx's perspective was never explored in depth trying to accept Vi as she is now, because in fact, as Jinx herself says, she changed too. That was a subtle turn of events that makes their relationship even more complicated. In the end Jinx made her decision. This was an episode about taking decisions, about letting go things like abandoning the ambition of saving oneself for the greater good (Viktor and the hexcore), wanting peace after experiencing the horrors of war (Jayce), rejecting our origins for a better future (Mel), giving up a lifelong dream for a loved one (Silco) and accepting oneself for who we are with all the bad that it implies (Jinx). I'm pleasantly surprised that Arcane was better than it should have been and it wasn't just a series with pretty visuals and catchy music but it had so much more to offer emotionally. I'm pretty sure season 2 won't dissapoint since we may have some hints of what's gonna happen because of the game's lore. Ladies, it was a pleasure to have rewatched this series with you.
yeah- no matter how often I watch this scene where Sting's song is playing and Jinx is about to shoot of fishbones and remembers Silco's line from ep3 coming full circle while crying out a violet(!) stream of shimmer, it gives me chills EVERY time ! That's how good and well directed this is. This show, especially as a first season, is already one of my favorite shows of all time. Absolutely brilliant. And I love how they visualized the results from trauma in this show without trying to make it fun or a cool character unlike many other shows do to make their characters likable.
@@redroseibarahime8755 Absolutely! This is what happens when the actual artists are given the freedom to do what they think is best to do an exceptional work instead of following the regular model of production thinking in profits and being restricted creatively by the heads of the companies involved. That's why this series stands out of other popular ones, at least for me. Riot and Fortiche knew what they had in their hands and the passion with which they made Arcane can be seen in every frame.
The way so many reactors have had a breakdown over Silco's death, the character we were all cheering to die by the end of Act I, just shows how amazing the character arcs are in this show. So many shows have 2-dimensional villains, but not Arcane. Everyone is very human, capable of growth, mistakes, and even a degree of compassion. It's such a pleasure not to be insulted by a show. Arcane has raised the hell out of the bar, and I hope other shows take notes and bring their game up.
The most villainous thing about this series is not allowing us to be happy when Silco died. I was bawling my eyes out. He loved Jinx so much he was willing to give up his dream for her.
In Silco’s confession to Vander 12:08, the background score is titled “is there anything so *endearing* as a daughter?” Jinx - and the audience - hear it as “undoing”. Jinx sets out on the path that leads to Silco’s death from a misunderstanding. Great reaction series, I enjoyed every episode with you, as you truly found the humanity in every character.
The worst is that she really is a Jinx. Just as the council was about to vote for peace, she literally NUKES them and ruins an otherwise good situation. She is a Jinx and she can't help it. She is a victim of circumstance. She says it in episode 3 when she was Powder, "I only wanted to help."
Maybe I’m dense but I never noticed that she’s actually a jinx to Silco’s team too. At least every mission that we see her on, she either fails (doesn’t protect the Shimmer because she thought she saw Vi) or is currently operating independently (the bomb on Progress Day). She literally jinxed everybody she tried to help, and vice versa…
But peace was never an option, was it? Silco did not intend in giving her up, so the terms of the peace were broken even before the vote happened. IN FACT, I have this crazy theory that the peace between Piltover and Zaun might happen THANKS to Jinx's few last action. Silco is out of play, and is strongly implied that Sevika might run things from now on. Sevika, who CERTAINLY doesn't have love for Jinx. Is someone could dissociate COMPLETELY from Jinx's actions, and even offer complete aid and alliace to Piltover in capturing her, it just might be Sevika. This theory might make more sense in my head rather that how I explained it, but the situation might be practically perfect to GARANTEE peace between Piltover and Zaun... and the CREATION of Zaun by extention as an independent nation, THANKS to Jinx making herself EVERYONE's (both topside and undercity) public enemy n. 1.
@@alphamorion4314 I don't think the council is going to be wiped out. I think the conflict between Piltover and Zaun is going to expand to Noxus and the wider Runeterra, with the guy who killed Mel's brother coming after them.
@@alphamorion4314 I see where you're coming from, but I think you should take into account Piltover's feelings as well. Because even if the council was willing to still have peace after that, they would appear as vulnerable/weak to the public. Separating Jinx from the rest of Zaun may not be possible.
@@Sinewmire Oh I think a large portion of the council is for sure gone. There are only two people I'm positive survive that explosion, everyone else is dead unless they completely depart from League Lore.

Truly one of the best ending episodes of all the shows I ever watched. The music, the visuals, Silco's final words and "what could have been" in the end. My God
I know you'll never see this but I've watched dozens of reactions to the arcane final now and yours is still the most emotionally satisfying. Especially when Silco dies.
Definitely a top 10 show after they made silco's death emotional. Never thought it'd hit but every scene with him up until the end was significant the va did an incredible job
"When all the colors were black..." That flash of Caitlyn's face @18:14, Vi's fear that it could be her so great it was real for a split second... just genius.
I have to say, one of the reasons I truly love this channel is that by far you two are the best when it comes to character empathy and emotional intelligence. And this goes for all the shows you react to. You both have a unique way of truly connecting with the characters in a deep meaningful way. And the emotional maturity with which you consider the greater picture of each character's mind and motives is impressive. Bravo ladies for always keeping us engaged and entertained.
I was going to leave this big long comment explaining the intricacies of Silco, how his love for Jinx changed him and all that, but I dont even have to. You both got it spot on. You completely understood that whole complex situation. I am genuinely impressed because I have watched a LOT of Reactors watch this show and no one has broken it down so concisely or understood it nearly as well.
Silco is the best villain we have seen in a long time. And I'm really surprised its from League of Legends, cause this character does not exist in the games, yet he gave so much complexity depth in the Vi-Jinx duo.
keep in mind throughout the show Silco said "Jinx is perfect" but his last words were "You're Perfect", I think that makes it more meaningful & sincere.
This show is 11/10 on everything really.. Characters development, characters presentation, scenography, animations.., writing, i cannot . everything that i can't find something bad about Arcane. And if you played League of legends.. this hits really hard, jinx, Vi.. are perfect. I don't think jinx or vi will ever die ( I hope..), they are now part of the world xD. we need to complete the story arc of .. I do not want to spoiler xd
So... that was an experience. It was great watching your reactions. I remember how happy I was that S2 of Arcane was announced to be entering in production a couple of days after the final episode, because we didn't know about S2.
This ending is soo good Vi failing Jinx’s questions. The revealing of fishbones with the red moon and her using her ultimate super mega death rocket. I was screaming while crying. I can’t wait for season 2!
Thank you so much for all your reactions, I love how you two are both really insightful and yet still really empathic, a rare combo found in people. I hope you two are doing alright with all that's going on in your country right now. Stay Awesome. And no matter what happens, don't cry. You're perfect.
So my computer wallpapers cycle through a variety of screenshots from Arcane every so often, and the moment when your reaction video came to the moment that Jinx sat in the Jinx chair, my left screen wallpaper changed to that exact scene, like almost at the exact same time . . . weird. Great reaction series by the way! Loved watching your journey through this amazing show!
"The Monster You Created" has a dual meaning here that's straight up brilliant. Its obviously Jinx; being a product of what Vi and Silco did to make her who she is. But it's also the Undercity being what Piltover created. I absolutely love the tragedy of the council finally deciding to do the right thing, but it coming far too late. I also recommend listening to the full version of that song. Its even more emotional and amazing.
i was sobbing so hard too when silco died and he said jinx is perfect. i liked silco and i knew he truly did love jinx and would never give her up for anything it’s so sad :( anyways loved ur guys reactions for all the episodes
Super small detail that I love in this episode: during the council room scene Jayce gave up his seat for Victor to sit down in. He chooses to stand _rather_ then use the other vacant seat in the room, the seat that Heimerdinger has left behind. Without a word the show is able to convey Jayce’s thoughtfulness towards his friend AND his respect for his past mentor. Masterful.
To be honest I think that's reaching. Victor didn't sit in Heimer's old seat because he wasn't a conciler. These types of official bodies get pretty uptight about who can use the chairs at the main table.
Also Silco telling Jinx "you're perfect" was validation to her. Jinx killed him yet showed nothing but love in his dying breath. That right there is what set Jinx to do what she did sine imo Vi didn't show that same love to her when the moment was at it's toughest.
Vi loved Powder, but she didn't love Jinx, and Vi didn't understand that she could never go back to being just Powder. She thought becoming Jinx was something forced on her by Silco -- she thought that with Silco gone, everything could reset.
@@dearthofdoohickeys4703 yep, there a lot of things repeated or inverted between the end of act 1 and the end of act 3. It's also Interesting to remember that during the baptism Silco said "Jinx is perfect" as though he is talking about some concept of her and not her as she was. But by the end he said "you're perfect", showing that she has fully progressed into Jinx and was no longer Powder.
Silco is far from being a good father, but he was certainly the one Jinx needed. He raised her as if she were his daughter and was willing to let go of his dream as long as she was safe.
@@BorrisTheBulletDodger just loving your kid and wanting to protect her doesn't make you a good father though. He manipulated and lied to her multiple times.
Yeah he was not the father she needed at all. Silco had never moved past his own trauma and he pushed his poor coping mechanisms on his daughter erroneously believing they helped. Silco is complex, and he did truly love jinx, but he wasn’t a healthy father figure.
I think one of my favorite things that Arcane did was how they handled their "climax" finale. I feel like a lot of movies and shows force the climax to be this big spectacle fight scene to try to outdo everything they've shown up until that point, but instead Arcane gives us their characters sitting at a dinner table. And yet the result is so intense that it holds every ounce of your attention until the credits roll. The climax lies entirely within the characters and their emotions. M A S T E R P I E C E.
It's been a joy to watch you girls react to this series. I don't really watch react channels but, I binged Arcane in one night, It hit me so deep emotionally. I had to watch you react to it so I could feel the emotions again through the 2 of you. Im a guy in my early 30's but, i cried 3 times watching this show. Thank you for making these videos
This is such an important detail that I think a lot of reactors missed and I'm really glad you realized it: the past is incredibly haunting and tormenting for Jinx. And Silco was going to shoot Vi because Vi kept bringing it up and he knew that it was hurting Jinx very badly.
if you think he would just shoot Vi because of this detail, who lost part of the story was you jajajja he wanted to finish her since the moment he found out she was alive...
@@rogerluiz2479 Yes, clearly Silco wanted Vi dead. But in the moment here, he tells Vi to stop when she brings up their old family because he knows how much it hurts Jinx. So him feeling the need to kill her in this moment isn’t because he feels like she’s a threat to him or his empire, it’s because he feels she is a threat to both Jinx’s mental state and also his relationship with her.
@@rogerluiz2479 The fact that he had multiple reasons to want Vi dead doesn't change op's point lol. Silco didn't grab the gun or try to leave the chair until Jinx was having her episode.

Hate that this journey is over but I have been waiting for this reaction. Buckle up, we're going bye-bye. "Don't cry, you're perfect" ALSO: Jinx's Mad Tea Party was the only way to end this thing. Brilliant.
Silence is the perfect reaction to that montage. Watching everything collapse, watching everyone lose. Caitlyn's cry for her mother guts me every time.
I think what distracts a bit from the tragedy of Arcane is the sheer artistic mastery of it. I'm constantly so enamoured by this series and how it presents its characters so effectively that it's difficult to just be sad. Like. I cried a lot and I was distraught at the season finale, but I'm incredibly grateful at having had the opportunity to experience this series.
Also, the reason peace was impossible, was because Silco wouldn’t give them Jynx, but the only reason Jayce even knew that name was because Vi gave him that name.
Powder is, from the first episode to the last, a jinx. She accidentally killed Vander, her foster father, to protect her big sister, her ultimate obsession, and she unintentionally killed Silco, her second foster father, to protect her big sister, AGAIN. Which is why believes she can't be with Vi, imo, in addition to feeling some resentment towards her.
thank you so much for reacting to the show! the moment i first saw it i was sure you'd absolutely love it despite or (judging from your track record) maybe because of the painful, sad and tragic scenes it has. It's definitely become one of my all time favourite shows and there is so much to gain from re-watching. Fortiche and Riot did an outstanding job at creating this masterpiece. Afaik they're aiming for a 2023 release and i wouldn't be surprised if its around the same time again, probably later rather than earlier. It's definitely gonna be tough following up a show that's this good but the writers and animators have my trust to make it great. Btw. the 6 years production time that gets thrown around is mostly not actual production. They started the project 6 years ago working on a pilot episode, but it took a lot of time to pitch the show and get the funding while the writers who hadn't written any show before were trained and researched how to pull that off, which might be a reason why it feels so fresh despite the topics not being all that groundbreaking. The execution is just perfect and they didn't take any noticeable shortcuts. The actual production time was more like 3 years also impacted by the pandemic and they had to figure out a lot of pre-production stuff first, like artstyle, characters, transforming the scattered and inconsistent LoL lore into a coherent story
I mean, silco was kinda right when he said Vi couldn't accept who Jinx was. She sits there causing her agony, triggering her and invoking those demons that torment her, and Jinx was *begging* her to stop. Literally curling up in a ball, pitifully pleading for her sister to stop making more monsters appear. And Vi saw that and just kept on going, kept saying more names even as she watched how it hurt Jinx, she was dead set on the thought that she was saying good things to bring 'Powder' back. She did not accept who Jinx was, and was literally torturing her sister, actively ignoring her pleas. Meanwhile Silco tells Vi to shut up. He tells Jinx not to listen. He was instantly vindicated, what he said was coming to pass right in front of his eyes, Vi betraying Jinx once again, and so he finally pulled the gun on her to protect his daughter, to stop Vi from hurting Jinx any further.

Yeah, people treat it like that’s the thing that connects them but for Vi, remembering her family gives her comfort. Jinx has been doing nothing but remembering for years and it torments her.
Ive seen some others too in compilations that say "its not the right thing to say" specially in that moment, both sides failed to understand Jinx real needs, they think using the importance of their bond would be enough to keep her safe, But you cant grasp the real importance to someone as broken as Jinx and how those calls affected her

man, people baby jinx way too much. that was literally the reason she decided to kill silco to save vi. jinx is running from all the people in her life she loved as powder and distorting their faces and memories so as to not feel pain and stay in jinx mode, an efficient killing machine. but she NEEDS to feel that pain in order to accept everything that happened and everything she's done. jinx has quite literally kinapped vi and caitlin and is now threatening their lives, and vi is still trying to appeal to the part of her that feels love. it's painful as hell but it must be done, especially in such a high stakes scenario where lives are on the line. vi did the right thing and the only thing she could have done at that point, as someone who still loves her sister and still believes in her. it paid off because it saved their lives but it was tragic because jinx killed silco and that death and his memory will be engraved with far more power than he had when he was alive and trying to manipulate her into forgetting everything and everyone (he mightve had good intentions too, but that's what he did)

Jinx is perfect. And now i'm sad.
@BattleAngelFan i would agree you are right. But still, i felt bad for her.
Powder’s gone, and Jinx’s chaotic rampage that has caused her to lose everyone she loved will continue because that’s what she now believes as “perfect.”
Again I’m just paraphrasing some Reddit post, probably explained better there lol
@BattleAngelFan your looking through your own moral compass to silco she is perfect
@BattleAngelFan 9 months late I know, but silco raised jinx to be able to survive in the cruel world that is Zayn, where you the strong take from the weak
In the river baptism scene silco says 'jinx is perfect', showing he wants her to be jinx, to get rid of all of powder
Vi only ever calls her powder, refusing to acknowledge that her sister has changed and is no longer the sweet little girl she knew
Silco' final words of 'you're perfect' shows that he no longer cares if she is jinx, powder or something else, he loves her no matter what
It shows a great development of what he used to see her as and what he thought was best for her to what she is now.
The ending song sums of the show perfectly.... "What could have been..."
the way how "what could have been" starts playing in the scene, it was just too perfect. Gets me every time 😭

@@gerardlacroix6015 The difference between Silco and Eren is that Silco is smart...
Silco is all about progress except silco has to make more sacrifice than topside

Proof of silco's trust of jinx:
Episode 1, silco injects his own eye no issue
Episode 5 (I think) just before jinx interrogates silco, he is struggling to inject his eye
Silco is no longer able to do it alone, he is so used to jinx doing it for him now
Would you trust just anyone, or even most of your family to inject your eye?!

Cait is an enforcer that is what that crazy sisters wanted to kill not have fun with. :)

The backlash of this decision would be huge, and other kingdoms like Noxus might get involved, since such event was probably never seen before - a violent direct attack to the council. Separating Jinx from the rest of Zaun may not be possible.
@@Sinewmire Oh I think a large portion of the council is for sure gone. There are only two people I'm positive survive that explosion, everyone else is dead unless they completely depart from League Lore.
I think this is one of the best reactions I have seen from Arcane ever, and I've seen plenty.
"I'm confident no-one dies here"
:S
Ya they need start killing off LoL champs in future seasons .. then no1 will know who dies and who doesnt
@@carbuneskinny5797 tbh, even though I knew Caitlyn was a champion, the tension when Jinx says “ I made her a snack” made me genuinely afraid
The scream Jinx gives after
"I support Counselor Talis' proposal for peace..."
So viseral. Gutteral. Rarely does and english VA go THAT hard
That and the "[inaudible]" with slow mo Caitlyn crying out to her mom, flashing on her at the council, then the missile... Powerful as fuck.
@@gerardlacroix6015 yup. The way it overlaps with caitlyns face is gut wrenching. But the scream from Jinx is probably my single favorite voice acting snippet of the entire show. Its one of the realest screams ive heard in a show. Not execessivly drawn out or over done. Just sadness. Frustration. Anger. Self hate. Hate towards piltover. Everything
Jinx’s VA is amazing, every scream on the show feels heartbreaking
@@luiszambranocaro6937 true. But that one specifically hit different
@@luiszambranocaro6937 And I think she was like 10 when they recorded the show.... When she talks to Vi, that's my favourite part.
There's only one word that describes each episode and the season as a whole:. Masterpiece.
I swear Lola has the best one liners, she really said jinx should sit in therapy lmaooo. She aint wrong tho.
She couldve chosen to speak any falsehood or lie she wanted and instead hit us with the hydrogen bomb of truth bombs
No she doesn't need therapy, she needed to be in jail
Therapy is overrated. All Jinx needed was to touch some grass.
@@mmor7380 jinx is mentally ill, most of the times she doesn't know what she's doing and clearly her trauma made her become like this
I love how jinx's ultimate is a sea creature, only right cuz silco was known for loving sea creatures I'm pretty sure
21:00 love you Lola, you are the first person that i see that actually cares for jinx and see that those words of Vi are hurting her.
Truly one of the best ending episodes of all the shows I ever watched. The music, the visuals, Silco's final words and "what could have been" in the end. My God
So, about a season 2 reaction? Just binged these reactions, can't wait for what you have to say for S2!
- "Не плачь, ты прекрасна"
Это фраза просто заставила меня плакать. Силко не очень хороший человек, но вот отец он отличный.
I know you'll never see this but I've watched dozens of reactions to the arcane final now and yours is still the most emotionally satisfying. Especially when Silco dies.
Time to come back, ladies! Season two!
jinx : where should i sit
lola : in therapy
im dead 💀 18:43
Genuine reactors are so rare on RUclips, but you girls are some of the best!
When the villain's death makes you cry, you know is a good serie/movie
Definitely a top 10 show after they made silco's death emotional. Never thought it'd hit but every scene with him up until the end was significant the va did an incredible job
Have there ever been such tears shed for the death of a villain?
Top to bottom, start to finish, there has never been an animated series like this.
"When all the colors were black..."
That flash of Caitlyn's face @18:14, Vi's fear that it could be her so great it was real for a split second... just genius.
Silco: "don't cry"
The audience: and then I didn't!
Jayce gave Silco everything he wanted, he only had to give up everything he needed.
Well said.
He shouldn’t need his daughter that’s too much to ask for he doesn’t need her he wanted her to himself. There should always be boundaries 🙂
@@artfaist he doesn't need his daughter. He needed to know that she was safe. Like any father.
That is incredible writing and story telling when you cry for the villain in the story.
Every time I a reaction to Silco's final words I just feel like there is someone in the background screaming "EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!"
Such a fantastic reaction and discussion at the end! I agree with everything you said in your commentary, you guys are the best!
Silco telling Jinx she’s perfect is the mirror-opposite of Vi telling Poweder she’s a jinx
Now that’s good writing.
He was the father she wanted, but not the one he needed. Both are broken individuals, tormented by lost and betrayal.
You can not be more wrong. He was an horrible person but an amazing father. I recomend you to watch Gorgia Dow's analysis on Silco and Jinx.
He was the best father a person in his circumstances could possibly be at least.
@@rogerluiz2479 It's why he wanted to shoot her in this instance.
Discovered you girls with Breaking Bad reactions, i instantly felt you were the real deal. This was another great journey spent with two persons which appreciate good pieces of media. I’m worldwide #1 Lola stan.
Yall remember when they said "Stay away from her" in episode 3? And now here we are, crying over his death bc we know what he meant to Powder. And for the fact he accepted and validated Jinx.
Yeah. I still cry everytime I watch that scene
Hate that this journey is over but I have been waiting for this reaction. Buckle up, we're going bye-bye. "Don't cry, you're perfect"
ALSO: Jinx's Mad Tea Party was the only way to end this thing. Brilliant.
"Is there anything so undoing as a daughter?"

Most pure reactions I’ve seen out of all the Arcane reactors!
Absolutely love your channel!
You have a new fan with me .. I subscribed straight away
I just found this show and I'm in love with it. Just great storytelling
Lola's reaction to when Jinx pointed the gun was me. I was like "there is no way".
Silence is the perfect reaction to that montage. Watching everything collapse, watching everyone lose. Caitlyn's cry for her mother guts me every time.
Girls, This is one of the best reactions to the last episode and mirrors my reaction to Silco's death.
Arcane is the only show that gave me legitimate depression after watching it for the first time. What a groundbreaking, emotional masterpiece.
World : 10/10
Story : 10/10
Music : 11/10
Visual : 11/10
Animation : 11/10
Characters : 11/10
Arcane is a masterpiece.
Beware cause the vi white knights will argue against this Fact!!
That's like feeding heroin to an addict just because it makes them feel good, instead of taking them off of it, which feels excruciating for a short period. Her new persona is a crutch, just like any drug.
@@thoroughlyrustled6186wanting to stop vi from triggering jinx’s ptsd is not at all like giving heroin to an addict. you don’t have to trigger someone into having an episode in order to help them overcome an emotional crutch.
That's a very good observation, Silco is literally the only one who accepted Jinx for who she was and loved her unconditionally.
ARCANE IS A FUCKING MASTERPIECE! NO WONDER WHY IT SURPASSED SQUID GAME BUT STILL ARCANE IS A TOP NOTCHer
