In season 1 when Vi and Jayce attack one of Silco's places, Jayce accidentally kills a kid while fighting, that makes him give up on the idea of war and decide to offer Silco the peace. The woman that attacks Jayce this episode was the mother of that kid.
I think it's worth mentioning that all of this was established in Season 1, it's not a speculation. This woman (Renni) is not a new character. In the last episode of Season 1 she asks Silco: "You gonna do anything about that piece of shit that murdered my boy?"
@feo_san we all know she's not new and that this isn't speculation, even them that don't remember pretty well, so this clarification is enough for them
honestly the fact people are missing this makes me realize theres no point in tv and movies and stuff anymore. people are just too dumb and unobservant to tell a good story anymore
@MattMajcan I think here it's more of a problem of people watching season 1 years ago and then thinking it's fine to watch season 2 without re-watching or anything, bc it's obvious like that you'll forget this kind of stuff. In Lola and Milena's case, they wanted to but just didn't get to organize properly before season 2 came out and after so much wait they just wanted to watch it.
@@jrlombardi5251right?? Like its not like a year ago even. It's been what. 2 or 3 years? Unless you have rewatched it. Like many of us have, you msy be a little lost with a few minor characters
The one who saved Caitlyn's crew was Ambessa Medarda (Mel's mother), she was wearing a battle mask, don't confuse her with Sevika, the right hand of Silco 🤓☝
I recently watched Arcane and it became one of my favorite series, i went immediately to watch your reactions of season one 😂 Your commentary and analysis are really great, hope you enjoy this season
That Heavy is The Crown moment when Caitlin accepts her leadership of her House and puts together her strike team with Vi is so cool but all I want to do is cry coz fuck... @27:42 I am with you Lola, after this episode I just wanted to sit and digest that, too much happened there.
My all time go to reactors!! My fav show coupled with my fav reactors, it doesn't get any better than this!!! Obviously you held them back so it didn't get spoiled which i appreciate, Merry Christmas to you both and a happy new year. Keep up the good work love you both to bits
I'm so excited to watch you guys watch season 2. Your s1 reactions were my introduction to your wonderful channel. Buckle up, it's a wild ride. Oh and definitely bring some tissues. :)
I wish people would recap or rewatch s1 before doing s2 its such a detail oriented show and it doesnt hand hold all of them. So many reactors just dont chem barreness remmi.
As much as I love Arcane showing both sides and this one being exclusively on the Piltover side most people forget what they did to Zaun. I am glad the girls are bringing this up. Yes Jinx committed terrorism but let's not forget that Topside created Jinx, so while I feel their pain... They are not completely blameless victims here.
Jinx has killed people that had nothing to do with her suffering. Jinx's suffering doesn't absolve her of her crimes. Plenty of Jinx's victims could very well be blameless. Being from Piltover doesn't make a person evil and deserving of the terrorism Jinx committed.
in my view this show is very simple.. piltover is an oppressive oligarchical society much like western society exists today, sitting in their ivory towers, exploiting others, enjoying feeling superior. in season 2 we see it become overtly fascist with a full blown resistance movement. the very first scene of season 1 shows what piltover thinks of coexisting with others. yeah jinx committed terrorism because terrorism was commited against her and the entire undercity. theres this saying, that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. piltover were the bad guys from minute 1, the fact people dont recognize it is very scary to me. Silco was right all along. there are so many parellels between zaun/piltover and whats going on in the mid east right now.
Arcane teases to be about the opression and Zaun-Piltover conflict but it never comits. That conflict is only a setting, the show is mainly about the relationships between the characters
There's a theory that says that maybe Mel was the one that saved herself and Jayce. When season 1 is about to end and the council about to blow up, we see that golden metal piece Mel wears as part of her clothes, the one in the back specifically, shine, before she turns around to the window right before the explosion. Then the first frame of this episode, of the entire season, is that same golden piece shinning. Mel looks pretty tired even when it doesn't look like she hit her head and then as Lola said there's that comment Jayce made about how he didn't even get a scratch, at that moment it kinda looks like Mel is thinking about saying something but she doesn't. I agree Milena is right when she says that's just life and could have happened in reality, so if this theory isn't true and they simply were lucky I would be fine with it, the hints I just mentioned still have logical explanations without it being some magical thing that protected them, but this show is too detailed and I don't think they would give hints like this to do nothing with it, I think that's why people believes in this theory. I have also heard from gamers that the golden piece does kinda look like something from the game that protects/works like a shield or something, not sure about that tho. We'll know when act 3 comes out ig.
During the top-down shot of the council chamber in this episode, you can see an almost perfect undamaged circle on the floor centered around Jayce's seat.
this season is... different it is all over the place i didnt like it the art style and overall production is peak but everything else was lost somewhere between this and season 1 I do hope, you both will enjoy this and have fun, despite the flaws
Caitlyn never said she was trying to kill people loyal to Silco. Caitlyn also never caused the suffering in the undercity. Why should she just ignore her pain and grief? Jinx doesn't need to be stopped even though she has murdered innocent people? How does that make any sense? Jinx gets a free pass to murder people just because she had a hard life? Vi grew up in prison, suffering just as much, if not more, at the hands of enforcers and she didn't turn into a murdering psychopath.
This is pathetic. Vi did everything she could to save Jinx. Caitlyn chooses not to kill Jinx even when she had the opportunity to. Jinx then proceeds to murder Caitlyn's mother, and people are upset that Vi and Caitlyn feel the way they do about her. Pathetic.
@@mten10th67 feel like you’re fixating on jinx too much when the argument is truly abt the bigger picture. Despite being a fan favorite ppl know jinx is off the rails. Vi did her best in saving her and obviously cait would want revenge on her mom’s killer. But sayin the government of piltover bred the framework that allowed ppl like jinx to exist isn’t meant to undermine her crimes. It’s meant to give understanding to the people in power who made those decisions. It may feel like a lack of accountability for the undercity but in the end the ppl of zaun are like peasants who react based off the actions of ppl in power. These ppl literally adapted to toxic air due to their situation. Their goal posts are in completely different stages
Don't let people make you think Arcane s2 isn't greatly written btw. A lot of people are frustrated but overall everything's just as excellent. See this as the few lows are even lower but the great moments are stupidly life-changing in their greatness
