Intermarche have handled Girmay’s situation so well after a tough couple of years and they’re starting to see the benefits. It’s also good for Girmay that some of his teammates, Taaramäe for one I seem to remember, have been to stay with him in Eritrea for altitude training. The team as a whole really seem to be embracing the opportunity which is fantastic
Yes .. I know bini too well .. he will stay with intermarche, he wants family rather than a big team with a lot money but not happy , bini knows exactly wa he wants , he is very cleaver and smart 🇪🇷🇪🇷💚💚💚
Fluff up of the day Biniam Girmay picked up by INTERMARCHÉ - WANTY in 2001 at one year old!!
He was cycling in the womb!
Ffs 🤦🏻♀️ 😂
Fact he joined Intermarché in 2021. Not 2001, but there were Eritrean cyclists that raced in Europe with a development team called Marco polo cycling club.
They signed him on his 1st birthday

Intermarche and Bini are good for each other.❤🎉
And he will stay with intermarche.. he prefers small family than .. and intermarche gave him that 💚💚💚🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷💃💃💃
I hope you will continue this series at the Vuelta!!!
Your comments on Biniam was perfect, got an information to his future.
🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🌷🌷❤️❤️🌹🌹🌷🌷❤️❤️🌹🌹
Your analysis of Biniam is excellent, and your background research is impressive. Biniam’s greatness shines through regardless of the circumstances, and winning three Tour de France stages is no fluke. It’s a fantastic day for him, his family, his teammates, and his country, Eritrea.
Eritrea has a strong chance to get to the Olympics podium or even get the gold with Biniam and co. Watch out for a couple young riders from Lidl and Astana as well. One of them just became the champion of Eritrea a month ago. Great sight incoming!
First of i want to give you three a gigantic hug from a fan in germany. I just found your Channel in time for the tour and i enjoy it so much after every stage. All three of you are giving me the classik bar with friends feeling and i love the atmosphere of the group. Please keep doing those daily stage videos and pls also for vuelta (and maybe a little germany tour spezial). I love it so much how the tour connects all of us and thank you so much.
I know who Emily was rooting for today. That shirt is fantastic!!
Okay, Tony is officially hilarious. ... I was watching out of the wrong eye! LMAO
Wow thank you keep up the explanation of this insightful observation 🤩❤
Eritrean Biniam girmay is an honest and friendly person and to his power and ability can testify the eyes of all of us 🤩🤩

Bini clarified to his country media that the 1 million per year contract is incorrect. he said he wish to have that contract though.
The bike was fractured in 5 places, top tube, down tube, seat tube and both seat stays all snapped. When I saw the photo I thought the had done some sort of job on it to make sure they would not have him ride it again but then there was a photo of him in the ditch with the bike clearly in two pieces with just the hoses holding it together. Very scary crash.
You could argue that the frame took the brunt of the impact similar to crumple zones on a car. A stiffer AL frame might have ended up with a different result and possibly even worse injuries. Pure speculation though.
The lady has a point on the relegation! Hats off for her!
She was blaming Ghirmay for the mistakes of Jasper the horrible . She is way off the mark of having a point .
Good work, and thanks for picking up the Women's Guiro as well. Good work Niamh! :)
Was that a van Aert shirt? 😂 Lovely
Most insane rider has to be Dan Martin coming 6 overall in 2017 with 2 fractured vertebraes after Richie Porte crashed into him on stage 9 that year.
talking about continuing with injuries. Do you guys remember Lawson Craddock crashing on a 1st stage of 2018 Tour de France, fracturing his scapula? He finished the whole tour(!), gathering some solid money for charity.
Girmay went from the UCI team to Delko a French conti team, won quite a bit on the French circuit, before intermarche brought him to the world tour level.
I said it in 2022 when he won Gent Wevelgem… this guy is going to win the World Championships in Kigali in 2025!
Thank you for believing in our bini 💚💚💚🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷💃💃💃
You guys are superb and honest presenting cycling issues I love it. I wish I knew you earlier.
I will be following you from now on.

is nobody going to talk about Emily's WVA shirt?😂
Your coverage of the tour is fantastic
It took two years but Emily has finally said something offensive "I wasn't alive in the 80s"😂❤
Jasper is never gonna get away from his nickname. 🤣🤣
And he only got lucky cause of his leadout train was on point.
With africa on topic, Rwanda is gonna host 2025 world champs, Followed Tour of Rwanda at 2022 and it was magnificent. It’s sad there was barely any coverage in 2023 but 2025 world champs would be definitely awesome. 😍
By God’s grace am coming for the 2025 to support ma Eritrean 🇪🇷 superstars in Rwanda
Is that going to be one of the UCI's 'Super Worlds' with track and most of the other disciplines included as well, or exclusively/solely the Road Worlds??
Would Rowanda be up to building a UCI spec indoor track if it is everything??
@@LS1conehead2027 in France is the next ‘super’ worlds
@@kipcc3918 bini beat Remco in Rwanda , that’s when intermarche signed him ..
Once an image is on the internet, there’s no control over it. So, I can understand why Specialized and others want such images taken down.
Hey, ANY crunchy carbon bike would've shattered the same, or in a similar manner.
That crash, impact and tumble was so fierce that possibly even a metal material frame might have cracked at the top tube/head tube juncture, but yeah, unlikely.
I think there’s a difference between an image being ‘on the internet’ and ‘on a sponsored riders social media for ever more’.
Love this podcast, King Bini ‼️🇪🇷
12:29 A simple statement MANY have a problem saying. Thanks Emily. There are black potential rider in other parts of the world.
Where , mention one except from Eritrea ?
@@natn738 'potential'
@@savagepro9060 Personally, I think that the ONLY reason that a mass of successful black riders has not happened sooner, or much, much more frequently is the absolutely UNGODLY co$t of equipment, gear, and competent coaches.
It is NOT an 'easily accessible' sport by any means even though for road at least, there are no fees to using the road itself.
Maybe Bini's story WILL inspire many others to have a go at our sport, and also bring in many other sponsors, mentors, and benefactors to promote and support those efforts!
Albeit on the track (road racing was in it's infancy anyway way back then), so many either forget, or never knew that one of the earliest World Champions (and a dominant force in the sport otherwise) was a black athlete; i.e.; Mr. Marshall 'Major' Taylor.
Davis Phinney and Connie Carpenter were so impressed by his accomplishments (especially considering the hurdles he faced with racism and bias/bigotry which was even worse yet at that time), that they gave their son Mr. Taylor's surname as a first name. 😉
This is a great series. Well done!
Thank you for you honest discussion ❤❤❤❤

I think you should consider Mapei's victory counting toward Quick Step as the "new" Quick Step was based on that team and Lefevere was already working there as well as Quick Step being a sponsor
Jasper Disaster was back to his dirty game today 😩
Dear god please tell me where I can buy this wva shirt
Chris Halls probs got data on where when what time and the composition of material involved at the inception of the very first bicycle.
Can't be the Scott guy taking digs at spez
Emily... @9:43... "he was picked up by Intermarché-Wanty in 2001"... Hmm... wasn't Bini just 1 year old in 2001??? 🤣🤣🤣 I think you meant 2021.. FLUFF UP!! LOL.. Since you're doing such a fantastic job as the Producer, I think we can let this one slide. Btw, loving this "Pro Show TdF" format. I always come here for the juicy detail right after watching the "last 5km" highlight from Eurosport. Keep up the great work!!
UAE should still attempt to pick up Gimay. Pogacar + Gimay would be deadly. And I'm sure he will get plenty of opportunities to win.

5:49 the bike cracked in four places! Not 3!! 4!!! Ahhh!!!!
Well said lady you nailed it fantastic insight about Biniam 🎉girmay❤and Eritrea but Jamey seems angry hater but who cares bini is writing history

As a brazilian guy, it was pretty exciting to see Tota (Ana Vitória Magalhães) in the breakway. I'm also having a lot of fun seeing all comentators failing really hard trying to pronounce her name 😂

If UAE needed a sprinter they would not have let Jasper Philipsen go.
Bini is excellent but has no place in the current UAE team
UAE offered 3x than wa he is getting but he declined for good reasons .. he is happy here .. Jasper is on something else
9:44 He was picked up in 2001? So Intermaché Wanty invested very very early in his career
Yah , he was one year old.
At the intermediate sprint, jasper did it again. He rammed Bini into the barriers!
No, the barriers were out of position - watch it again. Stop piling on Jasper just for the sake of it
HARDER HARDER
@@gabrielmazza7923 He still deviated. Someone made a very helpful diagram

Skoda. Is a great car on wrc9. I know it's off the wall different the bike related. Just had to😂
Their Fabia IS the dominant Rally 2 car currently on the REAL, actual WRC circuit, which is much more impressive than any game. 😉🏁
That shirt 👌
crazy idea: create bands or lines around the last 500m where the sprinters need to engage and stay there... could be a solution..
Emily is probably wearing the best shirt ever 🎉
Sorry guys, if your are more than a year old and still not in a professional racing team, your cycling career is over
If Intermarché picked up Bini when he was a one-year old. Intermarché robbed the cradle, took the wheels and the baby!
How is james? Miss him on the show
After you made such a commendable effort to get Vingegaard's name pronounciation right, might I suggest "Hors catégorie" next? Hors is pronounced similarly to ore as in iron ore with the r rolled a little less. :)
If I were MVDP, fk that, I'd just go for the win!
STILL CAN'T HEAR YOU, CRY HARDER 😂
He cant
Exactly what I said on GCN,
Stage 9 Troyes Gravel. Oiled Chains
Full of Dust Acted Like a Cutting Paste, Most of the Teams Would of Thrown those Bikes and parts in the bin, or sent them back for testing and inspection for analysis to the respective manufacturers.
They won't get used again on any part of the tour.
S-Works frames snapping in half is nothing new. There are pictures of them all over the internet. My buddy had it happen to him. Scary stuff.
Emily: @ 9:09 - Bini was born in 2000,
Emily @ 9:45 - Bini was picked up by Intermarche Wanty in 2001.
How many one year olds get picked up by a pro team? That has to be a record! 😂
Let me start with Toni , you been hating so much in bini , your reviews is based on likening Jasper A.K.A cry baby and bully . So you saw bini blocking on the rider behind him but you didn’t bloody see disaster nearly pushed bini in to the barriers in the intermediate sprint ? Wow .. unbelievable .. if it wasn’t for Emily and the other guy , they both over powered you that you had to shut your big mouth .. you cried when Jasper want .. am happy for you but based on you liking the cry baby you shouldn’t filliping lie ,
Emilia and your clique thank you for your honest review ,
I know bini personally , can’t tell you why the reason he didn’t join UAE but you kinda guest right .. will give you a hint 😅
UAE offered not only once but they came up a good deal when he said no , they put the offer higherrr and the 3rd time wayyy more but with bini ain’t about the money , he’s very clever and thinks for the future .. so my question to you is , do you think they will give him the leader of the team position ? Would they allow him to go to Eritrea 🇪🇷 as he does with Intermarché? Don’t forget intermarche not only a club to him but a family, they treated him wiv so much love and respect, he wanted a small team where he can learn and you know…
I believe he will stay with intermarche. And we are keeping the green 💚💚💚💃💃💃💃🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷😂😂😂😮
What do you mean unlike biniam ,if you are a friend of philipsen have a look back what he did to bini or to other riders his idiot ego can cause a massive crash, been doing for almost 2-3 years in a row, don't blame bini unless you are banchi of Ra🤡🤡🤡
I see tony the way he talked about grimy it’s not good enough
Has he saw intermediate sprint by jasper!
Bini is the winner .philip jasper not learn from past mistake
The day before today, Bini! Today, Bini! Tomorrow, Bini! ( East to West Bini is the best)
Only someone with toxic tendencies and fragile masculinity would defend Jasper and that man has red flag written all over him
the bikes are designed to break in those places.
Tony always looks like there's no where else he wants to be!
Bini congratulation ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
You guys are way too lenient on Phillipsen. The guy is consistently wild and reckless. The stage he got relegated, he probably would have won if he hadn't taken the time to run Van Aert into the side barriers. You keep saying "sprinting is dangerous". Maybe it would be less dangerous if Phillipsen wasn't knocking people around at 65kph like a very high speed cue ball.
Love king Bini 🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷
I disagree the Time Alpe d'Huez bike is amazing and very sturdy but just slightly heavier but stiff as you know what LOL
Nobody cares about 400-500 grams more. Well not me anyway, the thing rides like a dream.
Binyam Grmay is the future king of all Tor 🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷
Jasper supposed to be questioned by the TDF about his interference in the intermediate he blocked Ghirmay but you simply brushed it off and blame Ghirmay . I found your comment about blocking hideously biased and one sided . Jasper could have won many stages but he can’t ride in straight line .
Vlasov shouldn't have been allowed back on a bike until a proper concussion assessment was made by a race doctor. It's also disturbing that he did get checked by a doctor while he was on the bike and he wasn't pulled off the bike at that time.
Lastly, this is purely Tuesday night quarterbacking from "not a doctor". 😂 🧑⚕️
I’m assuming the course doctor never saw the crash, so he wouldn’t have known there was a possible head injury. Also, there are other reasons that would have vomiting as a symptom, such as an adrenaline response. I would think it’s the team’s responsibility to stop him and do a proper physical evaluation, but for some reason they didn’t. I’m guessing they haven’t been preparing for such a situation.
I get nauseous just from banging my hand with something. I've only had concussion a couple of times, and vomited both times.
@@petesjk After Gino Mader died, the UCI supposedly put in place more concussion protocols. But yea, there is always "should" occur vs. what actually occurs in the heat of the moment.
@@mortigard In any case, Vlasov fell through the holes in everyone’s risk management, which needs to be addressed. The cyclists union, the teams, the UCI and the race organizers need to figure something out, because that was just dangerous.
Makes you wonder… big crash completely destroyed a very expansive bike.
Who, in their right mind will buy a bike that will be scrapped, albeit less dramatically from any serious impact. A sub 1000gr carbon frame is a gamble. You have to take yourself pretty seriously as a cyclist to justify such none sense.
The pros do not care (as long as they themselves are not seriously injured in said crash), since they are just handed a new one.
But yeah, you would have to be a seriously successful dentist/hedge fund manager to be able to replace that $7K-$10K+ crunchy carbon frame (and any destroyed components as well) as an unsponsored amateur, or just a 'rolling Rolex' rider.
Your boy blocked Girmay and you're not going to mention it here? So sad.
It is 1 Million- 4 years
He is worth A LOT more than that!!
But I get that they are not a juggernaut, wealthy and powerful team like the big 3 or 4, and maybe not even as much as the 'middle' 5-10 teams. ☹
Just imagine what Bini could do if he had a crazy lead out train helping him out and then an absolute MOTOR like MVDP to drop him off 100 meters from the line!! 😱
Any way I found out you speak about his age than his accomplishments we have birthday certificate in Eritrea 🇪🇷 just the same as you I can see jealousy in here if you want to know his age just tell to bring their certificate ok
