As an Aston Martin fan (I/AM member) it's interesting, haha. I know my friend would've been happy seeing Lando Norris on the podium. This is the first F1 race I've watched since losing one of my closest friends unexpectedly that I have known for decades. He loved Formula 1 and his team was McLaren. He's the one who told me that Fernando Alonso signed with Aston Martin. Because of him I liked to see McLaren do well, but I think I want to see them do well now even more than ever. Of course I will still support Aston Martin, their my team and I'm proud to be their fan and I want them to win the constructors every year of course, but I want to see McLaren finish second…I don’t know…maybe I even wanna see McLaren win it this year. It's gonna be hard to watch F1 and not be thinking of him. It just won’t be the same anymore. He was young and left us too soon. I’m not a religious person at all but I know he’s looking down and cheering on McLaren.

To be fair Bottas messed up too in the Merc but at least he didn't ruin anyone elses race because of his incompetence. Bottas spinning was a genuine mistake trying to warm the tires, these things happen. Stroll as Riccardo said later was looking ahead to the right at the cars ahead and NOT in front of him. That's why he hits him with such speed. Should be banned for that. Or at least 6 penalty points or something really harsh because that's a mentality problem. Stroll has a lot of bad habits like this, turning in on cars overtaking him is another one.

Just shows he is driving a rocket and F1 has become as boring AF upfront. Was Max amazing driving for years for Toro Rosso, of course not. This shows how much now-a-days it is the car and not the driver

That save from Alonso was the best part of this highlight. Now I sit here and wait for WEC 6hrs of Imola to start

Alonso predicted his position during the qualifying. Excellent read from his experience

F1 is so great to watch, they are talking about the battle for last place. Verstap won the race on the first turn. I wish that F1 wasnt so boring.

Well done to Hülk for scoring a point. Took the top spot behind the top four teams and Alonso.

unironically most underrated f1 driver on the grid (has been for more than a decade tbh)

@@edyslavico3761 exactly. Still surprised a french passport was all that was needed for Renault to drop someone who'd been loyal and the man spearheading their on track results since their return. Bit of a sense of irony they fell off since then, their big name driver left them and they were stuck begging their arch rivals RB to give them a driver.
