Was just at this race with my wife and kids. We were just past the hairpin on the front straightaway. Dixon was brilliant, and my older son was all about him today.
@@Duster2582 we were in grandstand 26, just ahead of the Port of Long Beach Green Port crossway. The Dixon/Newgarden cat & mouse chase was thrilling in the last bit of the race, but the all Honda podium was the cherry on top for me.
i had an emergency and ended up missing the entire last race up until the last 5 minutes or so :( still was dope to see the gt america race afterwards though
Pourchaire finishing 11th on what I think is his debut in Indy was cool to see. If he decides to go Indy instead of looking for a Formula seat, I think he's got a good future ahead.
Pourchaire is doing everything that Felipe Drugovich should be doing, fighting in as many categories as possible, he is in Super Formula, In Indy and also in ELMS

As an Aussie it infuriates me. A lot of it is down to the recently deceased Sir Colin Giltrap who Dixon dedicated this win to. He invests so heavily in young drivers and it pays off. We've got billionaires in Australia who don't look twice at motorsport except Ricciardos Dad.
Scott Dixon is probably the greatest living open wheel racer alive. Particularly impressive compared to say , Verstappen, or Hamilton in F1 because of the non-power steering and limitations on chassis/engine in indy. Just BRILLIANT.
One of the key things that makes IndyCar so good to watch and i think gives it an edge over F1 that a lot of people don't really appreciate is the cars are the same so it comes down to driver skill and strategy, I love F1 I've watched it since 1999 but I find IndyCar a far more enjoyable series to watch because of how close it is between everyone, you never know who's gonna win the next race

It's on a more level playing field but you still have the teams with more resources and staff with newer equipment and better suspension etc than the back markers.

I watched both over the weekend, I regretted wasting time watching the Chinese GP after watching Indycar. I like both but F1 is lacking soo far behind Indycar in entertainment factor.

I’m an Pato fan, but not going to make excuses for why he did so poorly. I just want to say one thing, he did exactly what Herta did and Pato got a drive through, they didn’t even look at Herta. This isn’t F1, whatever you do to one you really should do to the other. I would say the only difference in the replay is 5 at least attempted to avoid contact, but 26 just lifted him and kept pushing.

Highly recommend going to this race, general admission is well worth the cost, crazy scenes and a great race
While Verstappen is winning by at least 10 secs, Indycar always brings a thriller.
