- In Forbidden Lies, filmmaker Anna Broinowski investigates the case of Norma Khouri Bagain, a Jordanian women who wrote the best selling Forbidden Love, a supposedly nonfiction book about an 'honor killing' that allegedly took place in Amman. Forbidden Love book was interpreted by many Jordanians, including prominent women, as an misrepresentation of Islam. As the book's errors and impossibilities were pointed out, Khouri's story and reputation began to fall apart.
1 of the best documentary movies i have ever seen!!!
The Da Vinci code has been published as fiction, despite the fact some can say it is"faction". If Norma had done the same, she wouldn't be in this predicament. It would have just been a poorly written book filled with cliché writing and ignorant generalizations.
"Before someone finishes farting, the city finds out he's about to." This chick is off her rocker.
oh God,i can even see her almost hidden smile while she talks......she described jordan worse than saudi arabia.i cant believe ppl judge the whole nation because of few demented individuals.the fact is: the ppl on the west will always write and talk against the east and the ppl in the east will always write and talk against the west.sometimes i wonder if the devil is real, because we seem to bring it all to ourselves.
I really like the other woman talking I guess Rana(Sorry), she just asked the very right question to ask.
If she's really passionate about women rights she would fight against the "government" (as she calls it) inside her country not outside just to be famous.
there are associations who defend against honor killing she should have joined one of them and fight and not write a fake book about a 90% fake story
im just watching this and its kind of ridiculous how defensive shes getting.
Anyone else getting Casey Anthony vibes from Norma?
Rana is GREAT!!!!!! and why are u Recording as if your new to the country???? a tourist rightttt.............
