I would defeat Thanos by going back in time and stopping everyone from dying on Titan. By doing this, he would have never had the idea to wipe out half the population on Titan and on other planets.

Thanos with all the Infinity Stones is by far the most powerful character in the MCU!
There would be no way to truly defeat him with those all in his possession!

I would have defeated Thanos on the planet he fought Dr.Strange, Iron Man, Spider Man, and The GOTG. By opening a portal, and having spiderman pull his arm with the gauntlet on it through closing the portal and severing his arm. Letting loose the Infinity Gauntlet.
Edit: Forgot to say Kill Thanos since he is in a mind trap, unable to move or anything. Now that the gauntlet is removed. He must be significantly weaker (ALTHOUGH HE IS STILL A BEAST) But stick a poker in his throat, or heart, or remove his head. Boom the King is dead.
