Running one of these with a Magpull CTR stock on a BRN180 carbine. Very solid and looks more conventional than other picatinny folding stocks and allows use of a broader range of options.
Using this with my Kns adapter . Nordic components upper 16 in no movement solid hold and Geissele SSP trigger and bolt catch from Kriss defiance with mags sweet setup.
That was what I thought exactly when I watched that part. Scales are cheap and I like to weigh all of my accessories just because I can. There can be a huge variation in weight in things like grips as a good example.A few ounces here and a few more extra there add up after a bit, especially if you are going to be lugging the weapon around.
Well, good news, then. Between the 1913 adapter, the pivot & its fastening scheme, and the full carbine tube behind, pull length starts out about 2.5 inches longer (or more). The "or more": I have this in the buffer tube variation. The socket for the buffer tube is pretty shallow and half the threads stick out. With the stock on & threads showing, this thing is pretty long fully slid forward. Not happy. So I sawed off buffer tube threads until it bottomed in the socket while barely being able to climb the shallowing threads. Very successful. In fact, to get the stock to click in the fully forward position, I had to trim a little material off the stock. I have a 75+" wingspan, and yet I doubt you really want 3 more inches. But if you do, then the good news is you are going to get it whether you want it or not.
GREAT VIDEO! My question Sir Is there a pistol brace that would work with this? Would this work with a PSA JAKL pistol in 300 blackout ?? Many thanks and PLEASE stay healthy and safe out there!
There are several stocks by magpul that use leaf springs and contact points to reduce wobble. This crappy adapter makes those expensive stocks unbelievably sloppy
Just receivd my folding Alpha. Cant for the life of me get it to fold like yours is. Verified orientation and same exact mounting setup as you. Any ideas?
@joebrown8873 so you suggest I go out and smack my only rifle against a dummy in helmet to find out? You could've been a smaller ass and just told me an answer to my question if you knew anything about it.
Looks cool, but does nothing an empty buffer tube doesn't do cheaper and lighter. The extra QD is in a useless place if you want to use the 1st half of stock adjustment......... and you WILL. Between the 1913 adapter, the pivot, and the tube/beam mounting, your starting position for the stock is wayyy back of standard AR. No one mentions this, but you get it all together and you see how far it is from the front edge of the stock to the back edge of the buffer loop of the lower. WOW, how did all this happen?
How so? This product is geared towards platforms that don't require a buffer tube but still wants an M4 style butt stock. This is not meant for traditional DI guns.
If you buy the correct gun or the correct attachment (for an AK) there is no modifying needed. He literally just bolted it to his BRN-180 without modifying anything.
That music in the start of the video is awesome.
Reminds me of my family cabin in Tennessee I grew up going to we had to sell it during COVID but yes it’s great and nostalgic

they also make one of these that retains the buffer tube and has a cap you can screw off at the end so you can use it as storage.

The non-folding is exactly what I was looking for.
Looks great
Agreed! But Caleb needs to fire up that iron. That shirt is unacceptable.
i like that you say you didnt weight it, but its super for a lightweight build.
just admit weighs more than a buffer tube

Very nice
Nice Rocket Launcher 🚀
Great job, for my long arms I would like to see one about 3 inches longer for a fold up but that's just me

$174 is a lot for this attachment but what do I know...
Love the rocket launcher just chillin in the background. Nice touch. 😚🤌🏼
Midwest makes a 1913 rear trunnion block for the AK without cutting the rear tang
Is that an AT4 in your safe, or are you just excited to be there!
the hinge is so heavy i really regret buying this product

Thats cool and all but where am I gonna put my combat skittles😢?
So if you where to order a mp5 and do a short barrel rifle. This would work
I bought the AR18 replica stock. This is nice too i guess.
Does it fit the Ruger PC carbine 9mm with adjustable stock?
the folding mechanism need improvement. I have 2 folding stocks from them an both do not fully closed which cause wobble.

Does it lock in the folded position?
No, but it does stay locked in the unfolded position. To unlock, just pick up on the butt stock and fold it to the left or right.

Does anyone know if this will fold flat on a Galil Ace with a pic rail adapter?
How will the rifle perform as a whole being used as a club to strike an enemy? I have doubts that ar15 will break in half.
You’ll never find out since I’m assuming you never leave your couch…

hope the lockup actually works. unlike their other Alpha stock...
MI has been using the same lock mech. for at least 10 years because it works and it's solid. Can you provide some context?
Sba braces kinda rattle on it. Any tips? Asking for a friend.....
brace lmfaoooo
JMAC customs has something similar
That's sick. Can I have one?
I just got one in the mail 10 min ago. And my dumbass can't figure out how to fold it.

Couldn't help to notice - is that a bazooka in your safe behind you? RPG launcher? Yikes.
It’s actually just a hair-gel applier. He painted it to look cooler.
AT-4
You speak as if the ATF is listening 😅
1913 stocks are cringe.
Exactly, don't know why they didn't just use 4.5mm and fixed tang
@@EdwardSnortin Because it’s meant to fit more than just AKs.
@@EdwardSnortin That dosn't fit my BRN180 and Sig though...
Permanently modifying your firearm just to install a stock, what a joke. Love Midwest but this is a big misstep

@derekhead7068 they lock up nice, but don't lie you modified the bolts when you bolted it on.... jk
