I dremeled my tang off, installed a 1913 pic rail rear end cap & easily installed this stock. It was fairly easy and fun, never did anything like that bought the tool and got to work. You can do it 👍🏽
The American Zenitco stock. There's definitely going to be aftermarket parts made for this but as of right now, this is the most modular AK stock on the market and is superior to the Magpul Zhukov stocks.

I have their similar mount that takes an AR buffer tube (already had the BA brace) backing a PSA Jakl upper(300blk). Very rigid, stays folded as you say. Jakl rear Pic rail is tall enough to offer three viable mounting positions. Taking the lowest position for the tube enabled me to mount the optics right down on the deck. Super tight setup and vertically minimalist. Went to 20rd mag just to continue the trend. Flattened optics, 20 rd mag, brace folded, it's just tiny. All keyed by the Midwest mount.
Hey look! It's the zenitco pt1 we have at home. For real though, it looks sturdy, and I'm kinda glad they make a non folding version for folks who live where that's a no go.

39 seconds in, I can see butt plate height adjustment, cheek riser height adjustment, QD slot, side folding, and LOP adjustment (unless that button is just for the side folding mechanism).

@Jo Quin First of all, a gas piston should be able to be installed by you. That's not hard to do. The KNS design is easy. Secondly, training is awesome but you should go with the set up you intend to use. I made a whole AK tailored around what I wanted to build, from the ground up. This is why I always tell people to build not buy

I've had mine since the first drop. It's decent. Comparing it to a real Zenit PT-1, it wobbles in same manner (up and down when extended), has a better telescoping release button (ZenitCo uses a goofy magnetic button that's been known to break), but the cheek riser screws aren't captive like on the PT-1. If you're adjusting the cheek riser in the field, it's easy to envisage losing those screws . The hinge mechanism is much better than the ZenitCo hinge, although most AKs don't have a picatinny rail from the factory.

I ain't heard any complaints from any other people about Midwest. Like to have AR made by them l settled for LWRC m6. IC. D.I. for $ 1100.

I want to know if the picatinny adapter fits in a milled receiver like the Arsenal Sam7r. I used a picatinny stock adapter for my Scar 16 to attach the A3 tactical stock as well as on my CZ Scorpion.

Got the stock and love it… now if someone would only make a 1913 adapter for fixed stock AKs that doesn’t require me to chop my rear tang on replace the whole freakin trunnion… if anyone knows of one I’m listening but I haven’t been able to find one.
I don’t understand the aversion to cutting the tang. It’s specially impossible to keep the tang and add a pic rail. The tang is longer than a picrail block

@@printingwithpeek4897 I’ll respectfully disagree. Everything Zenitco makes is forged and milled aluminum D16T, a close analog to our 7075. However of the Midwest Industries stocks are the same durability, they’ll be great.
@Connor Burnes ummm....no it's not forged and milled. Who ever told you that straight up lied to you. First of all, D16T is the combination of low grade 2000 series with a 5000 series aluminum. Anything that has magnesium as a primary alloyant cannot be forged because of oxidation reactions which cause Class D fires. I'm a welding engineer.

This thing folds way too easily. Not exactly ideal by any means. I own two of them and am very disappointed in how easy they fold from the deployed position.
