I always see horrible things on the news...so much hate...so much suffering, pain, fighting...It makes me lose faith in humanity and compassion.
People in my life have also hurt me and made me feel empty and distrustful of others...

I thought why I got this notification when I watched this already. So they reupload this. The grandpa who tore his handkerchief is sweet. The grandma who treats her like her own granddaughter is sweet too. Other people who are not only help her and encourage her and advice her are sweet. this happened to me once, i was really upset that time for having a nosebleed in the middle of busy train station, but some people actually noticed and ran to me... they gave me tissues, mineral water, and even a middle-aged man (maybe the same age as my dad.) took the same train and accompany me to my stop, i'm so touched to find kind people 😢😭

I really didn't think this was going to do much to me, but I'm in tears. These strangers not only helped her by getting tissues, but they gave advice and reminded her that she could do it if she worked hard. They all seemed so lovingly stern. Just once I'd love to receive this.

I feel like a lot of foreigners get the wrong idea of how Korean ppl are due to all the stories they hear about racism and all the beauty standards. But honestly it’s videos like this that show how heartwarming ppl can be. Many foreigners in Korea have said that although they’ve had racist experiences they’ve fallen in love with the country. Korean ppl know what they’re country was built on. They realize the struggles of needing to ace all these exams in order to not be looked down upon. They realize the harshness of their standards with the way you look and the color of your skin. But that doesn’t take away the fact that they’re also lovely ppl. They’re humans just like the rest of us. They care for their own ppl because they all relate to each other. I hope ppl who have dreams of going to Korea don’t get discouraged because of all these stories they hear. And to the ppl taking exams , don’t over work yourselves. Stay healthy and remember that ppl love you and they won’t look at you differently because u didn’t pass one test. Always stay positive and do good things.

Actually, when asked for help, many people do. But one time, my mom suddenly collapsed in public when I was little. It was a very warm day and she had black spots covering her eyes. So I was screaming, I didn't know what to do. And all people did was stand around us in a circle and watch. And I see that very often, I never forgot it. People actually just standing and watching, trying not to get involved. It's quite sad.🤦

Koreans are good example of kindness. The man 0:58 really touched my heart when he tore his handkerchief for the Girl. Actually, few people are ready to go into the pits for the sake of others..and those few people are found in Korea.

Am I the only one who cried because they were so encouraging and my parents aren't like that? I'm Asian.. So I know they showed their love indirectly but from time to time when I'm extra stressed, it would be nice for someone to be that encouraging in the house.

Generally we do but I believe that life is same in everywhere.
We are from the Confucianism society and respecting elderly people is essential in our social norm. However, some of them are taking an advantage and we are often told that Koreans are rude as well.
However, we are living in highly safe environment and tend to help and care people if they are in need.

Schooling system in korea well asia in general is rlly rlly hard there’s so many competitions .... I remember these students from korea came to my school ( in nyc ) as an exchange thing and I actually made couple of friends and one of them i texted for a while told me how lucky i was going to school here in America and how its more chill less competition like we take SATs u fail u take it again but college entrance exams when u fail its like ur entire future just crumbles to the ground like u could take it twice but its like shameful and embarrassing to take it again

To be honest In my country of you ask for help... everyone ignore's you. No matter how serious the the problem is....it breaks my heart, there are only a few people In my country, who helps people in need.
And btw those people are so kind and that girl is a great actor.

Korea is well known for having REALLLLY hardcore kids who want to get good grades to the point they go to school and an after school academy to learn. So i love how the older women gave her tips and cheered her up

CDY014 there's a video of a foreigner in a wheelchair asking for help to be pushed. Take a look and see for yourself. Imo you will get the help if your in need regardless but knowing some Korean would be really helpful in that situation

To use the subway in Seoul, you pass your transport card when you enter, and the fare is charged when you exit, so you need to scan it again. I was trying to exit but my card wasn't working even tho I had enough credit (I had like 30.000 won and the trip was just 1.500 won or so), so I was "trapped" inside the subway station and there wasn't any staff members to help me.
This ahjussi came to me and with a smile, he paid with his own card so that I could exit. I said "thank you" 10000 times in Korean and bowed, but he was like "no, it's okay" and he tried to stop me from bowing to him. I was so touched that I almost cried.
Korean people are very friendly, even if you don't speak their language, they always try to help.
