The first bands I ever saw was at the Silverdome, in 1980 and it was Central Michigan's band. And I thought, man it would be nice to see the Michigan Band .The next time I came back to a Lions game, BOOM, there was the Michigan Marching Band, the BLOCK M, and HAIL TO THE VICTORS, and I was all excited, and couldn't share it with anybody! That was the first time I sang THE VICTORS WITH THE BAND! And let me tell you, IT WAS HARD for any band to sound good in that dome, but they did!

Definitely '84. Soul & Inspiration was one of my favorite songs we ever did!

It was the 84/5 season. I think the 83 Lions game was the Monday Night Football game where the MMB played Russian Christmas Music and blew the roof off the Silverdome.
