The battle resulted in the almost complete destruction of the Von Carsetin 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Armies and the death of their commander, Isabella Von Carlstein. Yeah some things are so much worse in my opinion. Things have been dumbed down so much all in favour of streamlining the game for better AI and quicker and easier to learn for new commers and casuals. But with it they deleted a lot of depth in the their newer games that shouldn't have to disappear even if you want to cater to way more casual audiences. Beside I don't see that much of an improvement in tactical insight for AI armies if at all they became dumber in tactical perspective. Never retreating holding the walls forever whatever the situation never sallying out. I mean these where all things that happened in Rome I and Med II true enough they were still easily tricked and failed in their attempts. As they would retreat once shot but often return of get stuck be indecisive and be smart enough to sally out in the siege but then change their mind. Or you would know they might do it and so set a killing zone or on the campaign map do the sally out exploit. Further the armies are harder to beat in Warhammer then in the older titles but this is mostly because of them getting way more cheats and only fleeing once the army loss penalty is inflicted as on higher difficulties a lot of units are unbreakable. And unlike older titles the battle map wide state of the battle is the most deciding factor on the units moral rather than there position and losses. Meaning winning a battle with genius manoeuvring or one amazing move. Dividing and conquering,... all of this is less effective and it combined with all the dumbing down and smaller maps, one wall sieges and... Makes for really arcady battles and campaign which will look even way more arcady in an historical title. And most importantly there Rush tactic they use since Atilla or Rome where they play through their own strengths (AI is quite unbeatable in Micro and oversight and match ups) combined with mostly melee advantages and the battle maps being small and uninteresting. (For example all those tiny handmade maps in WH are so much more boring than the generated maps in Rome now 16 years ago. That really immersed you into the campaign as there was a clear and actual correlation between the campaign and battles.) So the AI feels more competent as it is harder than ever before but tactically they are dumber. They play through their strength but fail to evaluate every battle they seem hardcoded (if that is the right use of the word) to just hold the walls indefinite. Or just rush, sit to get shot indefinitely and so failing to have proper thread detection on the base of the entire army. Rather than just unit match ups. Any way I know it must be hard and I can't even start to imagine how hard it is to make a code that has the AI understand and adapt to what the player is using. And only have 1/10 of the oversight of how the battle movements are actually effecting the overall outcome. But for my feel they haven't improved tactically over more than a decade and a half and they have limited my options to play so much more and more. And WH 2 is now a real good game one of my favourites and it is so good because of the setting and most importantly because of all the depth that has been built in because of the years of development and faction or race unique features. With all the variation makes you wonder how much better it could be even with just a bit more depth to War diplomacy, growth, settlement buildings, AI cheats, campaign and battle correlation,... and so many other things that have been in older titles and fans still request. And that is without the wish for better AI even though actual Human lv AI might not be enjoyable for most.
Well that was a rather long ramble about things I miss in WH2 and wish would be implemented. And I don't really understand why they are not there in any form whatsoever. But well that's how it goes and I guess there is hope in quite some topics but it just hurts and seems stupid to see a feature well implement in one of there older games. And it being a good feature but have it cut out to never return even if it seems likely it would be easily or an nice addition to the system used in the newer titles.
@@kingmarre9130 Yeah maybe but the battles in that game where a bit to slow for me eventhough it's still hundreds of times faster then real life, so maybe they where a bit to big. But I rather have Napoleon size maps then Warhammer size maps every day of the weak especially considering how fast battles are in WH, I myself was thinking more of Rome I and Med II which had "slightly"smaller maps. But Napoleon being the only real gunpowder focused game together with Empire meant it fitted the title but it maybe prolonged the battles a little. Then again it was truly epic and it's been quite some time since I really played so yeah maybe Napoleon map size are just the best in general. Any case make it larger then it is now and make it correlate with the campaign map especially reinforcement locations.
The only time I control large army with Skaven is when I have an artillery division attached to my main army, so we'll have like ten plagueclaw catapults and their eight Doomwheels to harass and slow the enemy while the Plagueclaw slows them. Meanwhile Ikit Claw is stacked with Ratling Guns and Warplocks. Love it. Ratling guns MELT lords. It's hilarious. It's rare they have anywhere close to the missile resistance required to survive. Obviously Warplocks practically instakill lords with one barrage if you have more than four. It's just one barrage of " Get off the battlefield. "

Napoleon Total War had the best map sizes
Legend has 2 skills, fighting battles and making up funny video titles
I WAS HERE WHEN HISTORY WAS MADE LOL
It feels like every other video could be solved by another video you once sent us. Which is basically just withdrawal from the fight.
Rewatching this, it looks like a tower defense type of game
