    You can cheese sieges very easily with Warpfire Throwers without getting shot through the gates. Plop them down at an angle in front of a gate that's been broken down and send in a hero to stand under the gate. If the hero is far enough in, they'll aggro a unit standing close to the gate, run the hero back out and the enemy unit will follow. When outside, they'll get barbecued by the Warpfire Throwers. Rinse and repeat. Once the enemy runs out of units to send at you, you can waltz in and toast the rest of the units by shooting up on the wall or you can shoot the ones in the town square.

    The armies are not optimized costwise, I would have put Ikkit in command of the more expensive Rattling/Jezzails/arty stack (-50% upkeep) and the let the warpthrowers to the warphoarders (-12% x3), so instead of 1300+3900 it would have been approx 2000+2000, thats +1000 gold if my math is correct

    This is also an insanely efficient army to run in campaign since you can take over Tobaro, raise it to rank 3 with food, and instantly start making warpfire throwers on turn 3. You can get this doomstack before you get to turn 10.

    I have started play through with Clan skryre. My battle set up is 6 ratling guns 4 warnock jezzails, 2 plagueclaw catapults,1 doom-flayer, 4 skaves, 2 skavenslaves sling(maybe be going to adjust this abit) general unit ikit claw. I back this up with 2 armies of 1 general 7 skavenslave spears, 5 skavenslaves, 7 skavenslave slings. Total cost of all three armies is about 3000 gold 3 food 8000 units stronger.The idea behind this uses your elite units and generals with magic attackes to cause the most damage and uses the massive weight of cannon foder units to hold the enemy units in place. Tried this against wood elves that tried to invade me and wiped them all out it one battle. Just like to say great content I see you put alot of hard work into it.

    Hey legend, I actually found a trick out about triggering the army. They only trigger when you either damage a single entity for some amount (don't know at how much damage) or when you take out models. I have used entire burning heads on dwarves, but if you damage 1/3 of 2 units but don't kill a single entity, they won't come at you. With aoe spells like flock of doom this actually means you can get several free casts before they come at you.
    When I think about it, the most effwctive spell to try this with is pit of shades, since they take away roughly half the hp of a single entity of every greatsword model hit by the spell. Cast it once 0 kills, cast it a 2nd time 60 or so models down, with the rest also low health.

    • @sympunny8636
      @sympunny8636 3 года назад +2

      I can do some of the main ones.
      Chaos, shaggoth doomstack, they're excellent single entities with good speed and resistances and good aoe attack.
      Norsca War Mammoth doomstack...see shaggoth entry.
      High elves, sisters of avelorn with a handmaiden, two bolt throwers (for sieges) and a light wizard (for net of amyntok). You can also go star dragon doomstack.
      Skaven, weapon's team doomstack, so rattling guns, waplock jezzails, plague priests (for vermintide to slow them down), plague wind mortars and plagueclaw catapults (particularly useful in sieges). The plague spell is also useful in those. A warlock engineer to buff the ranged and add increased mobility is useful. You can add in a packmaster if you want for the free rat summons, he's a decent fight on the brood horror.
      Lizardmen, stegadon doomstack with a life slann. He heals the stegadons and casts dwellers below on blobs, while the stegadons shoot anything important from range and then charge in (particularly armour piercing units, or anti-large are good to focus).
      Vampire Coast, Necrofex doomstack, pretty similar to the stegadon one, but with summons and a gunnery wight to buff/refill ammo.
      Vampire counts, skeleton spam with wind of death. Research the tech that makes skeletons free, then spam them, blob up and wind of death the enemy blob. Make sure to take out any artillery first.
      Empire, handgunners helstorm rocket batteries, and warrior priests (to tank). A fire mage and/or a light mage for net of amyntok/flamestorm.
      Beastmen, minotaurs or full nurgle stink heroes.
      Dark elves, shades or war hydras. Depends what name of power you get for the lord. Add a flame/shadow caster and maybe a death hag to take out heroes/lords and give good casualty replenishment to army.
      Tomb kings, tomb scorpion doomstack is pretty solid, because you can get it easier than most and they're fairly powerful.
      Dwarfs, ironbreakers front line, organ guns, engineer for buffs, handgunners. Irondrakes are fun af so maybe 1 or two of them.
      Wood elves, treemen with lore of life. waywatchers aren't bad either or hawk riders if you're playing the twins.
      Brettonia, hyppogriff knights. You can also use grail knights/grail guardians, but they have more difficult sieges.
      Greenskins, kinda depends what lord you are. Goblins for grom/skarsnik etc. Arachnarok spiders are always solid, as well as stone trolls and doomdiver catapults.
      Those are they main ones, but there are some specific ones for lords, like the exploding brood horror throt doomstack. Let me know if you want to know any in particular.

    • @davidguillenmateu657
      @davidguillenmateu657 3 года назад

      @@jeffvella9765 the problem is that we are talking about a full flamethrower army, if they manage to land you will do a hell of friendly fire, and their low range will give problem at taking them mid air, ofc if you get them they are dead xD.

    • @jeffvella9765
      @jeffvella9765 3 года назад

      @@davidguillenmateu657 If you got 2 engineers, you have 2x warpgale abilities to stop them mid air and kill them.
      Warpgale is an area of effect ability, so if the army has 2 dragons coming at you, you stop them both then shoot one down. Then stop again and shoot the other.
      yes if they are arcane pheonixes you won't manage to kill 2 but not because they are flying, but because of the fire resistance.
