My goodness the Orchestra and the late great 'Bobby Hatfield's' voice created one of the greatest live television performances ever in the history of 'Live' television. This great performance done back in (1965) 58 years ago on the 'Andy Williams Show' was one for the ages. It was an epic performance...

The mic is small because it’s the pedestal mic …. But also because there were no fancy electronics in it - it simply connected the singer to the amp. Bobby’s recorded vocal range was B2 to E6 so this song was not a stretch for him, and his partner Bill said they never did figure out how high he could actually reach.😊

In this song Bobby uses 21 notes across 2-1/2 octaves. What a SINGER !! Keep up the good work !!

The Righteous Brothers consisted of Bill Medley (not seen in this performance) and Bobby Hatfield (who you see performing solo on this song). The two of them helped give birth to the term "Blue Eyed Soul." But until you hear them together, you really haven't heard the Righteous Brothers. Check out their breakout hit from 1964-65, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'." It was the most-played single on American radio in the 20th century. And their other big hit, "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration." Bobby also performs solo on another of their big hits, "Ebb Tide." Bobby died in 2003 shortly after theiy were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their performance of "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" at their induction ceremony is pretty awesome, even if Bobby's falsetto was pretty much gone by then. Absolutely one of the best duos to come out of the 1960s. Bill now performs with a fellow named Bucky Heard as the Righteous Brothers in Las Vegas, still singing the great Righteous Brothers songs. But without Bobby, it's just not quite the same.

Your right when you say pure talent. I was 15 when he did this on the Andy Williams Show. I think one of the greatest live performances of all time. It was also brought back in 1990 in the movie Ghost. Many generations get to hear the talented Bobby Hatfield. His vocal range is unmatched. Many have covered this beautiful song but your listening to the gold standard. If you want to hear more song by the Righteous Brothers try the song that was the most played in the 20th Century “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” also try there #1 hit “Soul and Inspiration”. Also “Rock And Roll Heaven. Thank you

the duet consisted of Bill Medley (deep baritone) and Bobby Hatfield, (RIP) singing here with his 3-octave tenor. Together their harmony is superb. They are not brothers - someone in their early days singing in a club shouted out regarding their performance as "Righteous Brothers" and the name stuck. Also known as "Blue-eye soul". This is a LIVE performance. In 1965 there is no auto tune nor computers to enhance voice/tone/pitch. just pure talent here. Others have covered this song, but Bobby owns it!

Young Lady, look up Tom Jones and listen to and see him in his day and even now. You will love his voice and his delivery. Oh and he sang with people many many people, Elvis (but there are no recordings it was private between them), Stevie Wonder was on Tom's show. He is very much connected with Soul singers from the 60s & 70s. He drove women wild with his voice his delivery and his look. Oh and I nearly forgot he was Knighted so we should call him Sir Tom Jones.
