That's one of my top 5 in the coolest lures I've ever seen someone make, RUclips doesn't give you enough love but it will have no choice!
Thanks a lot for sharing, the blue skeleton popper is now one lure I'll never forget!
Greetings from Brazil ✌🏻
I appreciate that! All of this support keeps me motivated to make every video better than the one before it.
Top of the top in lure making. Have never seen anything better. Hope this popper is for a collection or exhibition and not for fishing.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! It's tough enough for use, but honestly I made several other big poppers to fish with. Thanks for watching and for your support!

Thank you for you kind words!
Totally amazing! 😊👍
Thank you sir!
Sick looking lures 😁 as one dude said "most lures are made to fish with, only few are ment to be forever" ❤️ waiting for the next videos - more salt water stuff please 👌
Well said! The next one actually is a saltwater lure. I suppose it could work on bass and muskie too. Thanks for watching!
gotta love that mahi mahi coloration!
One of the things I like about making lures is that there are endless color combinations; your imagination is the limit. Thanks for watching!
Excellent! Always enjoy your videos!🙂
PS. I noticed the ziploc container you’re using to clean your airbrush. I haven’t seen anyone do that before. Are you rinsing by dipping between color changes with water? I’d be interested in watching in one of your videos how your cleaning the airbrush. 🙂
Thank you, I really appreciate it!
Yes, I rinse and backwash between colors. I'm sort of a self taught airbrusher, so I'm not sure if that's proper but it works for me.
@@zimmtex Thank you. I’ll give that a try.
Sei un artista straordinario❤
Thanks!
Exquisite!
As you rightfully said, it shall be like a mantel piece .
Thanks
Many thanks! Knowing my luck it would snap off on the first cast!
Mate that is some awesome detail, looks wicked, great job 👌👍
Thanks Daniel, I really appreciate it!
Really great looking lure. Love your work.👍👍👍
Thanks Jim!
Been waiting on something like this great art work dude (you should have way more subscribers your work is awesome)!!!!
I appreciate it! I have lots of great projects lined up; there is much more to come!
What would be the cost of that popper? I would love to have one like this but with orange yellow colors and a gold skeleton just to have it as an ornament. What you do is an art. Greetings from Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche Mexico
Unfortunately I do not currently sell lures but I will definately let you know if that changes. I appreciate your interest and support!
Marvelous!
Thanks Jonathan!

Awesome beautiful work
Thank you very much!
This is so sick!!
Nice job keep it up 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks, will do! Glad you like it!
you have to do a video on how you made that first lure's paint pattern! new to the channel and love it!
Unfortunately I do not, but I have on my list a similar idea. Thank you for your interest and support!
From my experience as a wood carver have found if you burn at edges it keeps stain from bleeding where you don’t want it.
Thanks for the tip Dave! I appreciate you sharing your expertise!
That is super cool! How did you paint the first popper to give it that marbled look? It looks almost like resin but I’m curious to know how you painted the blue marbling and the gold skeleton. Thanks and keep up the awesome work 👊🏼
Thanks for watching! I hand painted the last one with Testors model paints. I went over the white primer with gloss teal and dabbed it with tissue paper to give it some texture. Then I frehanded in some flat black and white marble veins. The final step was hand painting metallic gold over the bones. I really appreciate your support!
I love the painted side ,not so much on the carved side.
The carved lure should all be carved ,but still it's a novelty item well done ,love the colors choice
I think it's good to stretch your legs a little with carving. I will say that I can definately feel an improvement in my carving abilities after making this lure. Thanks for watching, I appreciate your support!
You got me HOOK on your videos like a fish with 3 3X hooks in his mouth.. GREAT WORK hands down .. I NEEEEEED, A FEW OF YOUR LURES TO PUT IN MY TACKLE BOX.. let me know if you have ANY saltwater lures for sale..KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.. from BARBADOS WEST INDIES 🇧🇧

Hi, your work is beautiful.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it!
Niiiiice.... artistic ❤❤❤
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Another excellent video! What wood did you use?
I use poplar for poppers because it is fairly tough and easy to work with. Thanks for watching!
Esta ficou muito bonita parabéns
Many thanks!
Nice.
Thank you! Cheers!
Bro what the hell?!?!?! That's amazing where can I get a couple of these for Christmas presents? This is only my 2nd video watched I see the Texas cap. I'm in Corpus really would like to get a couple lures from you
Thanks Ron! Right now, I'm just making one-off lures for videos and so I don't currently have any stock to sell. I will let you know if that changes. I really appreciate your interest and support!
@@zimmtex what you do is art. I've tied to make my own lures but they are kindergarten finger paintings compared to what you do. Beautiful stuff
@@ronjaime3493 I really appreciate your kind words!
the best
Thank you!
Mike Stinnett of 'Stinnet Sticks' RUclips channel uses a wood burner on a lot of his carvings. I beleive he even has a few videos dedicated to carving trout. You might want to check them out- you would probably enjoy his videos.
Thanks, I checked it out. Very talented carver!
Hi, I'm from Costa Rica.
And I'd like to get a one of your Lures...
Hi Duglas! I'm sorry I don't currently sell lures, but I will let you know if that changes. Thanks for your interest!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
have you seen stinnett sticks videos on youtube a must watch if you're wood carving.
Wow! I hope I can carve that well some day.
What sort of wood do you use?
Great question, I mostly use poplar, sometimes basswood. I will use balsa if I need a lot of bouancy.
@@zimmtex thank you! I am just getting into making lures. I tried balsa, but it seems to powder and flake really easily when carving details.
@@lakemonsterlures Yes, I like poplar because it carves very nicely.
Nice work ! do you make lure for people ? and are you on instagram?
Thanks! I don't currently sell lures, but I am on instagram. I put a link in the description. I appreciate your interest in my work!
Wow
Thanks for witching!

Do the skeleton on both sides and paint the bones fire tiger!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nice, I like it!
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!

😮😮😮
Thank you very much for watching!
You should try to catch a bass with it🤷🏼♂️
I've caught dorado on these big 7" poppers and I've had good luck for bass on the 3" poppers. I'm working on getting a better camera setup for fishing, so hopefully I can record some catches. Thanks for watching!
Hey how much for u to make a 6inch glade bait by chance (color hitch)?
👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️🏅
Thank you!
That eye didn't fit the bait. Everything else was fabulous.
I appreciate your input; I'm slowly accumulating a ton more eye sizes and colors. Thanks for watching!
