Hi, Trey. I don't think I've ever seen you put this level of scale detail into one of your baits, and I admire both your patience and skill in doing such a good job. Sorry to hear that the lure doesn't float or swim the way you want it to, but I'm glad that you aren't going to give up on it (yet). Hope you'll keep us posted if/when you make progress with it. At that point, I also think one of your "premium level" paint jobs would do justice to all the effort you put into this particular bait. Best, Chris
I appreciate it man and No I’m far from being done with this one. I just got a new type of resin in the mail that I think is going to solve all the issues and I’m planning a video for using that particular resin. Don’t think anyone has made a video using it so I think the info will be good for people to know. Just going through the testing phase now so I can learn the resin myself before telling other people how to use it lol.
Another greatly and patiently crafted wooden lure. I just don't understand why people invest so much effort, when the lure's concept makes it possible (at least for a strong fish) to just tear that thing apart and get away with it. To me a persistent axis is mandatory when I'm crafting a hardbait
@@TreysArt ... well, I have to admit that your's look way better than mine. I don't know how it is in the US, but when you're fishing for perch (the only european predator that's comparable to the Bass varieties) you'll always have the chance to get a pike on. That's easily 10 times as much weight and strength as the expected prey could provide...no room for mistakes
That’s so cool how you did that bro.. looks amazing too.. swims good too.. gotta have alot of patience and talent to do that ., awesome Channel man just hit you with the sub 👍
a lot of attention to detail. Noticed when finished poured lure with paint and clear cote texture of scales was lost. Real pity cause of all that detailed work! Happened to me also when made popper with scales. I made them much deeper but also almost lost.
Hey there, I just started making my own lures for fun.. But i just couldn't get the details I wanted on both sides symmetrically like the Fish Gills..One side will be perfect and the other side will definitely go wrong with the placement 😅 Wondering is there any stencils or maybe free download pattern that I can use to cut on stencil papers?
I’m not real sure about any downloads. Yes getting the details symmetrical is kind of a pain I think we all go through. I actually use the cheap tops rolling papers a lot to transfer designs. You can use the gummed part of the papers to stick to the wood so it stays in place while you transfer the pencil lead onto the wood if that makes sense.
@@TreysArt Ah i will try on my next lure.. Keeping it symmetrical is a hell of a process hahaha with my OCD on lures🤣 Quite hard to get nice stencils too at Malaysia so had to DIY or maybe substitute with my poor art sense🤔

You like that Gerber razor?
Yes. It’s kinda small but it’s very sturdy.
are you carving that resting on your leg?

Yeah it kind of sucks losing the texture but it still adds a lot of detail and depth when it comes to the paining.
