My favorite part is when he says “a simple paint job” and then proceeds to spend 3/4 of the video perfecting a juvenile channel cat paint job. He can lie to himself but not to us.

My dad and I caught what we thought were some tadpoles in a ditch after a rainstorm. Upon close inspection, we discovered the tadpoles had whiskers, and were actually tiny catfish. We kept them in an aquarium for a few months. They were about the size of your bait when we gave them to a local pet shop. This video sent a flood of memories of feeding those fish and watching them grow. Thank you for making this bait, and reminding of some good times I had with my dad.

In italy we have lake were you pay and you can catch rainbow trut so i can use the lure i made(you can see them on my instagram daddicort)
I've spent the winter setting up my airbrushing station in the basement 😁
I spent this winter cleaning my garage to make a bait station, and also buying various baits to give me a reference point for my lures.
It would be nice to have my bait station in my room but I have an aquarium and I'd rather not give my fish lead or plastisol poisoning lol

Just thought I'd mention. As a kid, I learned to rub a catfish fin spike wound with the catfish's belly. It works. The theory is that they are covered with their slime to protect them from other catfish stings. Give it a try, stops almost immediately. Love your show, thanks for sharing your knowledge.
