You could measure the exact amount of silicon you need exactly by finding the total volume of your mold box and subtracting the volume of your master. You can find the volume of your master by submerging it in a small beaker of water and observing how much the surface of the water rises in mL or whatever.

Very cool looking bait. Just a layman's thought for you.... The dimples on a golf ball help reduce aero drag, they help the ball fly straighter, further and with greater accuracy. Perhaps the same occurs in water with a dimpled bait? A straighter more hydrodynamic bait that moves less? I don't know, just a theory🤷‍♂️. Great video again. Keep em coming.

So you could have a dark interior with a translucent exterior - that could help give the look, but improve the action if the holes really are causing the issues?

According to NASA dimples on a golf ball create turbulence, which actually reduces drag. Dimples and Fluid Dynamics
Dimples and their impact on the golf ball traveling through the air can be described using fluid dynamics.
Basically, there are two types of fluid dynamic flows - laminar and turbulent. In general, many real life applications are turbulent in nature. This can be generally obtained from a factor called Reynolds number (fluid mechanics newbies please do a quick Google search to understand this term). In the current scenario, however, when the ball is smooth it gives rise to something close to a laminar flow. In this case, the fluid flow downstream detaches from the surface of the ball, in the form of vortices. This phenomenon is called flow separation, which gives rise to a viscous wake behind the ball that slows it down.

    - I think the tail is just a tight wiggle because it has a short tail length. I think that adding at least an inch to the tail length, and making the tail a little more taller then the belly of the bait, should give it a belly roll and a huge tail kick. You might not even have to modify the tail. 🤞
