I always mod the menu music out to something I actually like or as I'm thinking about now, grabbing these sweet songs from the n64 days and modding these in instead!!
I miss these AKI wrestling games. They had very smooth controls! My cousin had this game and I loved just browsing through the menus to hear this song. Shame this game is such a pain to run in emulators, part of why I miss playing it on a real console.
have not heard this tune in 10+ years but I could still hear it in my head. Loved this game as a kid, even though it was repetitive the fact it had multiplayer, a huge roster, and a variety of weapons made it a ton of fun. Macho Man was one of my favorite characters, I can still hear his taunt "OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAHHHHHHH!"
I was tripping balls one night with some buddies ,(who didn't play this as kids like I did), we had a 64 set up and I booted this up for the first time since childhood. When I heard this song combined with the hallucinagens, I went absolutely ape shit. They were laughing at me and couldnt figure out what was so amusing. I got hit with a massive nostalgia bomb.
The thing i like about this game the ability to grab weapon from the crowd the stop 🛑 sign the stick the bat the 🎤 stairs im sure theres some i missed but yeah
*La Parka dancing in the character select screen intensifies*
Alex Wright and Disco Inferno kicks ass
And Booker T. raising the roof.

Today's 2K games: "we need contracts to put in great music in menu's that everybody likes!"
1998: "HOLD MY BEER!!!"

@Flesh Pin lol To be fair, this track was a blatant version of a Steve Vai song, but, I see what you mean.
@@OmegaRedEX this hits like 1998 in the face tho

Played this game frequently as a kid.
azart61 same. Strange thing though, I played as Aki Man a lot.
@@jthomp97 Nothing strange about that. Play as any character you want.
as a kid and until now, mimic Alex Wright dance for a goddanm satisfying reason.
Lmao
This no mercy Wrestlemaina 2000 super smash bros star fox 64 would start fights in the House
/Bossdon83Drizzydre2733 / Word 😂 either Wrestlemania 2000, No Mercy or Goldeneye 007 would start the most fights 😂 with cousins
/Bossdon83Drizzydre2733 / Even though I’m only 20 I never actually got to experience the hype around the n64 when it was really popular
Man I remember goldeneye me and my brothers would bet each others
Add Mario party to that list of fight startin games... steal a star guaranteed hands thrown
@@jared241987 on God lol
This game had some of the best music hands down!!
And the game play was amazing!!

@@bradleym.fhartz2956Same here.
On the surface, it's very American style but it's quintessential Japanese brilliance underneath.
I still play this game in 2019....
you know whats up

I just found out that this riff is ripped off Steve Vai - Erotic nightmares. Lol, that title too.
This was obviously the sounds of my childhood.
0:36 this sounds so familiar, I can really feel the heat.
This always made the menu stand out to me
@@EliteEasyE Yes!! I can hear the Nitro theme in this abit.
It's *"Erotic Nightmares" (1990)* by *Steve Vai.*
I remember seeing Aki Man spinning around with his arms up flexing lol
Bust out the Alex Wright dance to this 😆
Even better if you win the tag championship with him and Disco Inferno and they do their dances at the same time.
Raise the Roof with Booker T
lol get outta here
0:36 to 0:51 booker t and stevie ray doing their taunt 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wanna know what soundboard/MIDI instruments THQ used.
Ikr
seems to be custom stuff
I'm pretty sure that's Aki who made the music. THQ were just the publishers.
Godly creations
AKI*, not THQ.
Dam I love this music 😎👍
This and Starcade are the best tunes in the game.
Halloween Havoc and Super Brawl are dope too.
Steve Vai - Erotic Nightmares
Just picture the Dancing Fools (Disco Inferno & Alex Wright) dancing to this.
La Parka as well
Booker T Raises the Roof
And Rick Steiner barking to the beat.
BRO GOD DAMN THIS IS FIRE 🔥
I have a vendetta against Maya Inca Boy to this day
"First up this week on Nitro is Hogan's weekly promo, followed by a match between Eddie Guerrero and Psychosis."
Meanwhile on Raw, the Nation of Domination is going against the Bichael Michael Likers, the Dirty Ol' Assholes.

Even tho im a 2000s kid I grew up with this, world tour, wrestlemania 2000, and no mercy. What a time to be alive
Still play it to this day
Awesome
My Cousins Romeo and CJ has that in 1998 and 1999
_The Jerry Springer show has filed a copyright claim on this soundtrack._
This got you hyped to kick some ass
if testosterone had a music theme...
This shit slaps
Nostalgic and awesome even in 2021.
Love this
I like how THQ make wrestling games
AKI develop on their engine, THQ published it.
Sounds Megadethish, explains why they're one of my favorite bands of all time. This was engraved into my childhood

I feel like the current WWe just keep getting torn apart, what I mean is they do one thing then a year or two later they start from scratch
+James M Ah, I see.
Why we didn't get legendary titles like this for the Wii virtual console with a N64 style controller, still remains in my mind as a mystery.
i still play this game, gameplay is unreached
Back when I never had to mute the music in a wrestling game.

Back in the "Suck-it!" days.
Steve FN Vai 🎸
STEVIE VAI - Erotic Nightmares
Oooooh yeah...bout to have some fun when you heard this one.
Sounds a lot like the Renegade's theme from when he beat Arn Anderson for the TV title at Great American Bash '95.
This music sounds like it’s been uncompressed. Given that you said this is playing on N64 Hardware I’m curious to know how that was done
AKI (and not THQ, who just published the game) fucking rules

@@blatantlywhite that's what I meant bro.
I would really like to know what type of technology they used to make the guitar sound in this music If anybody could tell me that'd be great
its definitely a sound font... n64 was similar to snes with its sound capabilities, but n64 had a bit better sampling rate.
Heavy metal
Nintendo please put this on the n64 for switch and wwf attitude. It will be my new favourites to play
All i think now is botchamania
Why
These Games > Modern Wrestling Games
Wrestling music...
The 90's > 2020's
THQ make the best wrestling games ever I hate 2K wrestling games
Ryan Coman amen
Yep
12 Diamond Cutters to end a match. My favorite was when I would be Sting and have the specials. 6 Scorpion Death Drops before specials over.
